Title: Arranged

Characters: Oh Sehun and Oh Hayoung

Pairing(s): Sehun x Hayoung (main)

Genre: Romance/Fluff

It was bright saturday morning when Mrs. Oh knocked on her daugther's door with a very anxious expression. She waited for a few seconds and then the door of her room opened, revealing a young and fair lady with a smile on her face. The girl was only 17 but she looked more mature.

"Hayoung ah" Mrs. Oh said "Get ready, we are going shopping today"

The girl, named Hayoung, looked at her mom with curiosity. Why was her mom so eager to go shopping with her that morning? She wanted to ask, but seeing her mom's anxious expression was enough for her to understand that she was in a hurry. Hayoung just nodded and closed the door of her room once again so that she could be able to get dressed.

About 15 minutes, she was already ready to go out. Her mom smiled when she saw her and dragged her to the mall.

When they were already there, walking around the stores, Hayoung finally gained the courage to ask her why was she dragged to the shopping mall so suddenly.

"Mom..." she said as her mom was busy looking for the perfect outfit for her daugther "Why did we come so suddenly?"

"Oh" her mom said with slight nervousness "We are having a party tonight"

The answer was simply but it was more than enough. Hayoung was already accostumed to all the parties that her needed to assist. Her family was quiet prestigious, so she had to attend them all. Of course, she hated them, but she had to bare with them because of her parents and she had learned not to complain.

"But couldn't I just pick something from my wardrobe?" she asked and the woman shook her head

"No no, this one is an especial one" she just said. Hayoung looked at her with curiosity once again. She wanted to ask why, but decided not to . She was going to find out later anyway.

****

It was about 7 pm at night already and Mrs. Oh was at Hayoung's room, helping her dress up for the party. Her mom had picked up a really fancy dress, too fancy for her own like, that made her feel really uncomfortable. She didn't really understand the need of such a expensive and fancy dress.

"Mom, why is all this?" she asked, feeling a little bit uneasy. Her mom looked at her nevously.

"We are meeting some relatives" she just replied

"Who could be so important?" Hayoung asked

"Your father's cousin is a really important businessman and he's going to be at the party tonight" her mom explaining quiet nervous, but Hayoung still felt uneasy.

"So..." Hayoung said so that she could continue speaking and get to the main point

"Well... he has a son and we want you to meet him" she said and Hayoung's eyes widened. Why did they want to her to meet him? Why was he so important? She hoped it wasn't what she was thinking... if it was, she wouldn't know what to do.

"And why is he so important?" she asked, praying it wasn't what she was thinking. Her mom hesitated and then looked at her with a worried expression. Hayoung started to feel impatient as her mom wasn't speaking. The woman looked at her daughter once again and then sighed.

"We want you to meet him because... you are arranged to marry him" she replied and Hayoung gasped. Hayoung didn't know how to react upon hearing that. She wanted to scream, to yell, or even cry but the words wouldn't come out of . She had expected that, but she didn't imagine how shocking it would be to hear it. She was going to married to complete stranger...

****

When they finally arrived to the place where the party was going to held, Hayoung stormed out of the car without saying a word. Saying that she was mad was an understatement, she was beyond angry. Her parents didn't say anything. They knew she was mad at the moment, but she would eventually accept idea.

Hayoung walked around the place, fake smiling to everyone who greeted her. She hated crowded places and she hated it more that night. When there was no more people to greet, she excused herself and walked out to the garden. It was quiet there, because almost everyone was inside. She took a seat by the fountain and let out a huge sigh.

"Are you ok, miss?" a voice suddenly said, making her look up startled. In front of her there was a really handsome and young man with a smile on his face. Hayoung couldn't help but blush a little bit.

"Just... personal problems" she replied, not wanting to bother the person in front of her with her problems. The guy smiled to her and she expected him to leave after that, but instead, he took a seat next to her. She looked at him surprised.

"You can tell me..." he said "I'm a good listener"

Hayoung looked at him with curiosity and wondered if it was good idea to tell him. She didn't even know him, but she felt quiet comfortable around him. He seemed nice. She looked at him, he was still smiling and waiting for a reply. She sighed and then looked at him once again.

"It's just that... my parents are setting me in an arranged marriage!" she yelled angrily "Ugh I hate it!"

The guy looked at her and chuckled at little bit. Hayoung blushed in embarrassment. She didn't expect him to react like that.

"Is he that bad?" he suddenly asked and Hayoung didn't know what to say

"I don't know..." she replied "I don't even know him, which is even worse!"

After saying that, Hayoung remained silent for a while. She couldn't believe she had expressed all her anger and her problems in front of a stranger. She was usually a very composed person, especially when it came to people she just knew but somehow, this guy had something that made her trust him.

Suddenly a soft gust blew and Hayoung started shivering slightly. It was beautiful night but it started getting chilly and since she was wearing only a dress, she felt a little bit cold. The guy saw this and suddenly took of his coat, putting it over her shoulders. She looked surprised and couldn't help but blush again. He was certainly a gentleman.

"Thanks" she just replied

"You are welcome" he said with a smile on his face

"So... you don't really know this guy?" he asked, breaking the silence

"No" she said, starting to feel a little bit irritated now that he was mentioned again "I just know his name Oh Sehun or something! And I bet he is an spoiled and grumpy guy! Ugh!"

She said, letting out all her frustation and the guy next to her just laughed once again. He looked at her and then smiled.

"And I don't understand why we are engaged anyway... aren't we relatives or something?" she said in disbelief. If he was the son of her father's cousin, technically, they were cousins too so she felt it was weird that they were engaged.

"Actually you are not blood related" he replied and she looked at him surprised "He was adopted at a very young age but they love him as if he was their own son"

Hayoung just listened to him, quiet surprised. How did he knew all that? Did he know who this Oh Sehun was?

"Do you know him?" she asked, still shocked but the guy didn't reply but just smiled. Hayoung looked at him with curiosity, expecting him to say something. If he knew something, he had to say it.

"I haven't introduced myself miss, my name is Oh Sehun" he said, still with the same smile on his face, and he extended his hand offering her a handshake. Hayoung stood there frozen and her cheeks slowly turned bright red because of the embarrassment. In that moment, she wanted to disappear. She wanted the earth to swallow her. She had never felt so embarrassed in her whole life.

She looked down, still very blushed. She had said all kind of bad things about this guy and he had been in front of her the whole time. What was worse was that he didn't even seem to mind...

"I'm so sorry" she said looking down once again. He just chuckled.

"It's ok" he said gently. Hayoung was surprised that he didn't seem mad at all. "I don't expect everyone to like me, especially since you didn't know me yet..."

He put his hand on her shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile. Hayoung looked up and when she stared into his eyes, she couldn't help but blush once again. This time, it wasn't because of the embarrassment.

"But I really hope you don't think I'm an spoiled and grumpy guy anymore" he said jokingly and she shook her head, again feeling embarrassed.

"Oh by the way... I'm Oh Hayoung" she said inmediately

"I know" Sehun said with a calm voice "We are engaged remember?"

Hayoung looked at him and seeing him smile, made her smile. She knew there were still a lot of things she had to know about this guy, but maybe this arranged marriage wouldn't be as bad as she thought.
