I was waiting for the bus to come, when a car stopped in front of the bus stop. At first, I started to get afraid of it. Who knows what could happen next? Maybe a man could get out of the car and kidnap me. The window of the car was being opened and a man was confirmed to be inside the car. I didn’t look much at the car. Then the man spoke, “Hyunji, you’re going home?”, as I was alone in the bus stop, I looked at both of my sides, to make sure, that the man was talking to me and I wasn’t misunderstanding. Then it hit me, that the man knew my name. Wait! How did he … I looked closer and recognized the person. “Byunghun?”, I was still unsure. “Yes it’s me. Are you going home?”, he asked again. “Hum, yeah.”, I nodded. “Come, I’ll drive you there.”, he offered. “Thanks.”, I opened the door and sat at the passenger sit.

“Did you go to the hospital?”, he asked as he attentively looked at the road. “Of course.”, I said in a tone of voice as if it wasn’t obvious. “You and Taemin, are … dating?”, he asked, I smiled shyly and nodded. “Yeah.”, I didn’t give any details. “I’m happy for you. I just hope this doesn’t go in the same way as it did with Onew.”, he expressed his concern about my relationship with Taemin and showed that he really cared for me. “Don’t worry. Taemin …”, I paused and sighed, “Taemin is different. I can see it. I can feel it.”, “I hope so. I don’t want to see you hurt.”, I softened.

We arrived my house and I offered, “Want to come inside and have a drink or something?”, he shook his head, “No, no. Thank you, I have some work to do at home. Another day okay?”, I nodded. “Okay then. Thanks for driving me home. Bye.”, I got out of the car and waved.

I saw the car leaving and entered home.

“I’m home!”, I announced as I walked to the stairs. “In the room!”, I heard Jihae’s voice from upstairs. I tiredly walked to her room. I opened the door and found her laying on her bed reading a book. “Hey.”, I walked in, “Hey.”, she closed the book and sat on the bed. “How was your day?”, she asked, “It was good, but also tiring. Did I tell you I would be practicing with the new trainees today?”, I rubbed my eye. I could feel the tiredness attacking me. “Really? Are they nice?”, she seemed curious about it.

I ended up telling everything about my day. When I told her about Taemin being discharged anytime soon she had to comment on our relationship, on how it was going to be from now on and stuff. I already could imagine. I was so happy. It seemed like a fairytale to me, but also because of that, I was afraid. Maybe there was something bad to happen. When people think everything is going fine, is when something of bad happens and destroys people’s happiness. So, I was afraid. I didn’t intend my life to see pain soon.

After saying good night to Jihae, I went to my room and changed to my pajamas. I was so tired that as soon as I laid down on my bed I fell asleep.

The alarm clock made sure to wake me up. I turned it off and turned to the other side. I opened my eyes occasionally and found someone laid next to me, leaned on his arm, looking at me calmly and softly. I opened my eyes in shock and sat. “W-what are you d-doing here?”, I stammered, “Surprise!”, Taemin smiled satisfied. “How … Wait.”, I rubbed my eyes to check if it wasn’t a dream. Once I realized it was all real, I turned to him, “How did you come in?”, I asked still in shock, “I come here to make you a surprise and all you do is ask how did I come in? Cool, this is how you love me? Okay then, bye.”, he pretended to be hurt and sad.

He turned around and got up to leave. “Wait!”, I grabbed him and pushed him to the bed again, making him to sit on the verge of the bed. I back hugged him and spoke, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. It’s just … you really did surprise me!”, I still hadn’t got over the shock. “Good, because it was my intention.”, quickly he turned to me and grabbed me by my waist. He leaned closer to me which made me fall backwards. He took advantage of the situation and not giving me a chance to run away of his claws, he spoke, “Now you’re mine and will never run away, because I won’t let you.”, he sweetly looked at me.

He was on top of me. I put my hands on his cheeks and looked deeply in his eyes. “Good, because I would never want to run away, even if you let me I wouldn’t leave you. This is where I feel comfortable, by your side.”, I pulled him closer and kissed his pale pink lips.

My day couldn’t start any better than this. Waking up to my boyfriend’s company, having those moments with him… It was amazingly perfect. 

“Let’s have breakfast. Shall we?”, he helped me get out of the bed and while back hugging me, he would say sweet things at my ear as we went downstairs to have breakfast. The kitchen’s door was closed, what it wasn’t usual. Before opening it, he counted, “1, 2, 3.”, when he opened the door, I couldn’t help but to take my hands to my cheeks. My jaw dropped.

The kitchen’s balcony was full of food. It had a simple presentation, but it was romantic enough to leave me in that state. Words wouldn’t get out of my mouth. I was just so surprised with everything. I came closer to the balcony and eyed every food present. There were strawberries in a bowl with melted chocolate with chopsticks on them, there was also two plates, one with a variety of peeled fruit and other with pancakes. To drink there was a jar of milk and two cups next to it. 

It seemed like I was in a movie. It was everything so unreal. I contemplated the balcony and Taemin interrupted, “Do you like it?”, all I could do was hug him. I was nearly crying from happiness. “Thank you.”, I tightened the hug. As always he felt warm.  “You don’t have to thank me. I did it because I love you and I wanted to make you a surprise.”, he caressed my cheek. I pecked his lips and smiled, “Let’s eat? After seeing all this food, my tummy grew hungry.”, he chuckled.
