I fumed as I took big strides, further and further away from the park. And him.   "What the hell are you doing now?" I asked myself.    Every time I try to figure him out I get hurt, every time. Why do I keep trying?   Suddenly a hand landed on my shoulder and I shuddered feeling someone's evil presence behind myself. I turned my head to my right and my eyes widened when I saw Dong Wook stand beside me. His hair as red as last time, his blue jeans ripped and his t-shirt the darkest shade of pink, he stood there as if it was completely normal for him to be there at this moment.   "What a pleasant coincidence" he flashed me a satisfied smile.   "What do you want?" I frowned angrily, slapping his hand away.   "I want a lot of things" Dong Wook chuckled "One of those, is for you follow me without any struggling."   "Is this a kidnapping?" I raised a brow.   "You could say so" he answered with that conceited smile still plastered on his face.   "The hell?" I gave him a weird look.   "I am not joking" he said with serious tone of voice "You don't want me to create a scene here."   "But why?" Flabbergasted, I couldn't but gape at him.   "So I can get my boss out of trouble. Seung Hyun and Jiyong will let him go if I threaten to kill you" he explained calmly. "How does my plan sound?"   It was hard to believe he was serious because he looked and sounded like he was joking. But I knew he was serious.   "That's so lame" I gave him an unimpressed look.   "You have any better ideas?" Dong Wook raised a brow. "Come on sweetie, let's take you somewhere dark and uncomfortable" he grabbed my hand.   "Yah" I protested.   "Shush, you don't want me to hit your consciousness out of you, do you?"   My hand in his, I just had to follow him without any protests. It would have been impossible to try to struggle. He would have caught me for sure and I didn't want him to get rough. I lowered my face and bit my lower lip, thinking really hard about some kind of escape plan. From the corners of my eyes I looked to my sides. And of all moments Seung Hyun choose not to follow me now. Fck him!   "What if they don't leave Sil Jang alone and ignore me being kidnapped?"   "Then I will have to kill you" Dong Wook said indifferently.   "What? Why? What did I do?" I asked, feeling a tingle of panic inside my chest. "Why so drastic measures?"   "Then what else should I do with you? Sell you?"   "How about letting me go now?"   "No way, I would be stupid to throw away such a treasure" he joked so freely as if we were friends taking a stroll hand in hand. "I am so lucky." A smirk appeared on his lips    "I just came out to grab a bite and then bam, this lonely princess walks straight in my arms" he chuckled coldly "I bet Seung Hyun never expected this to happen."   "Tell me why do you want to find Jjang so bad?"    He glanced at me with suspicion in his eyes. "Why? You know where he is?"   "If I knew and told you would you let me go?" I inquired.   "Do I look stupid to you? You don't know no sh.it" he scoffed. "There is no way out of this now missy."   I wondered why wasn't I scared of him at all. I mean, this was a kidnapping and all. Oh, maybe because he was too metroual to look like a rough guy?   "But Seung Hyun doesn't really give a damn about me..."   "Maybe he doesn't, but I know for sure Jiyong does."   Damn it!   "What's your relationship with them, anyway?"   "Why the hell do you want to know?"   "Just asking..."    Dong Wook glanced at me lazily. I noticed his eyes were big, dark and deep, his lips nicely shaped and colored light pink, like rose petals and his face was round. He looked very boyish with his a little plump cheeks. I wanted to pinch him.   "For a bad guy, you look surprisingly good" I smirked "Your nose is pretty cute."   He looked at me from head to toes. "Better than you. But that's easy...” A dry laughter left his lips and it sounded kind of y.   “Underneath that pretty appearance you come out to be just another smelly jerk” I said dully.    “Aren't you scared? Because you definitely should be" I saw a pair of deep dimples appear on his cheeks when he smiled, very boyishly. "I know I look good."   "Scared of a girly guy like you?"    He was tall and skinny, too skinny.   "At least I am not fat" he retorted back.   "You look like you might fly away if I flick your forehead."   "Oh yeah?" He squeezed my hand harder and it actually hurt a little. "How about I take out my gun and press it to your forehead? Then we will see who will fly."   "In five seconds I am going to kick you in the shins and run away" I warned.   "Try doing that and someone dies tonight" he said back, his voice cold as ice. "I am not joking right now. I am just trying to be nice for once but if you don't like that then I can also get violent. Trust me, you don't want that to happen."     I gulped, his every world sinking into my mind painfully. Slowly I started to understand there was no way out and truthfully speaking I was too afraid to try anything. Who knows, maybe he is hiding a bomb in his pants or something? Though, my eyes narrowed down, I doubt he has a bomb in there... or then a very, very small one.     "So... Mind telling me what's going on?" I asked carefully, peering at his carefree face from the corners of my eyes.   "Why should I?" Dong Wook asked teasingly, his eyes glinting with mischief. He sensed it, how much I actually wanted to know.   "Well, I am getting kidnapped like this. Don't you think I have the right to know something?" I reasoned.   "To put it simply. Seung Hyun and Jiyong are after my boss and they found out he is hiding here so they came after him. By kidnapping you I will get them to promise not to touch him and let him quietly leave while I keep you a hostage."   "Is the police involved?"   Dong Wook's head spun at me and he had this weird look on his face "What do you mean by that?"   "Well, Kang Woo is a police officer, right?"   "Detective" Dong Wook corrected and then he stayed quiet while looking at me and what seemed waited for me to continue.   "What?"   "Nothing..." he squinted his eyes "You don't really know what's going on, do you?"   "I know what that race was about" I was quick to boast.   "I bet you don't even know half of it like why is Jiyong even hanging around Seung Hyun and Bom. And what's the real reason why they want to catch the boss."   "Does Bom's mother have to do something with this?" I asked with excitement.   "A lot, in fact, she is one of the main reasons why these poor little idiots are wasting their time on my boss. I hate women" His last words sounded especially bitter.   "Taking one look at you, I can tell you like men" I elbowed him in the ribs but instead of snapping at me or even taking my joke in account he just continued with his ramblings.   "She just can't get over. Even after getting Bom, she still can't let it rest even though she knew all along what kind of person the boss was and nothing will change him. And now, more people will have to suffer because of his wrath.    You see, the whole reason why Jjang ever left was because Bom's mother was pushing from all directions, she was pushing him too because she knew he was helping Seung Hyun and Jiyong. And now, I have to go through hell to find him because that bastar.d Seung Hyun..." he mumbled something I couldn't understand.    "Anyway, I will do all I can to keep the jerk on his toes. First he kills off my sister and then he hides Jjang away. So there is no way he will get boss if he doesn't spill Jjang's whereabouts."   "Do you want to kill Jjang because it was also kind of his fault your sister died?" I asked in surprise. I didn't know Dong Wook was carrying such grudges.   "Kill him?" he scoffed. "I think I will because once I see his ugly coward face I might just lose control."   "I heard you used to be friends..." I injected very carefully and quietly.   Dong Wook looked at me with hatred filled eyes "I don't remember such times" he said coldly    "That day he left me to die was the day I forgot what friendship was."   He startled me so much with this new information, I flinched and blinked "He left you to die?"    Angelic Taeyang would leave his good friend to die, that is something too unbelievable.    "More than that, he almost killed me" Dong Wook rubbed his chest. "Bas.tard..."   At first I thought it was strange how Dong Wook told me everything so easily but then I thought about myself and realized, that when we really hate someone, we tend to spread our hatred. And get a lot of satisfaction spatting those venomous bitter words from our mouths letting other people know how disgusting the objects of our hatred are.    I came to the conclusion he really hates Taeyang, Seung Hyun and Jiyong which puts me into a very bad light.   When we finally reached Dong Wook's car I saw a tall, buff guy leaning against it. He was ordered to take my scooter when I whined non stop about not wanting to leave it behind. My eyes were covered with a scarf and then I was pushed in the car. Dong Wook complained something about being too tired to drive and then he the music so I wasn't able to ask anything anymore.   In our lives, strange things tend to happen when least expected.    Seung Hyun   I think I still love you ____________________________________________________   After what seemed a whole eternity the car finally came to a halt and the motor was turned off. Dong Wook pulled me roughly out from the car and walked carelessly somewhere. I kept tripping all the time and almost fell over while he groaned in annoyance.    Then I finally felt smooth surface under my feet and was told to walk five steps up. I heard wood creak and the door open, strong smell of cigarettes welcomed me in and after the door shut behind me the scarf was finally moved from my eyes. I blinked as I saw a simple living room in front of me.    We were at some kind of a lake house. An amazing view opened in from of my eyes as I gazed out from floor to ceiling windows. The huge lake, forest all around it and and blue bright sky, heaven really is a place on earth. I could sit in that comfortable arm chair and just stare out for days and I bet I would never get bored.    "Tie her up" Dong Wook said lazily as he walked past me. I quickly scanned the huge room, there was a walk through kitchen. Four men were playing cards around the table and one was sitting on the black leather couch watching huge plasma TV. Dark fireplace stared back at me from one of the corners and it looked miserable without happy colorful flames. Overall the place was extremely clean considering it was a hiding place of some gangsters. I squinted my eyes in suspicion.    "All right." One of the guys, who played cards, stood up, walked to a drawer and took out a roll of scotch.    "What is it?" The one who was watching TV turned to look over his shoulder and when our eyes locked I froze.    Min Woo.    His eyes widened a little but he quickly wiped all marks of surprise off of his face and cleared his throat. He totally recognized me and I couldn't stop staring at him.    "Who is she?" His eyes flicked at Dong Wook.   "Our treasure" Dong Wook flashed a smirk, not suspecting anything. "Thanks to her, boss is now free to go."   Min Woo's gaze slowly shifted back at me, his eyes telling me to keep my mouth shut. "What do you mean?"   "It's Jiyong's bit.ch I told you about."   "I have a name" I mumbled.   "First thing, shut , she is noisy" Dong Wook's smirk grew. I glared at him but then the guy with scotch put me in a headlock and covered my mouth with a piece of scotch.   "MFFFMMMMFAAEE!" I groaned not finding it necessary to close my mouth in such a barbaric manner when I didn't even say anything. Besides, it would hurt a lot when they remove the scotch. Dong Wook just chuckled cheerfully, enjoying every second of my misery. You just wait!   I was forced to sit on the couch and Min Woo held me on place while the other guy tied my legs together. I wanted to rip the scotch off my face but Min Woo's whisper: "You don't want to do that" made me give up on any resistance. I was in a room with six big men after all...   "So, what should we do with her?" Someone asked.   "Can we have some fun?"   I shuddered.   "Anyone wants to fck her puny a.ss?" Dong Wook asked playfully.   "Hell yeah."   "Any time."   "Can I be the first one?"   "You are all so desperate" Dong Wook rolled his eyes. "Don't lower your standards too much."   I sent a murderous glare at him but he just smiled back at me. I wanted to rip that conceited smile off his ugly cute face.   "Should we play paper rock scissors on who gets to start?"   "I don't think that's a smart decision" Min Woo finally spoke. He turned to look at me with very serious look on his face "Just let her be."   "Geez, yer so borin'."   "Imma wants some action."   "Shut it" Dong Wook ordered idly. "The one who touches her won't get out of here alive. Catch my drift?"   “Awwww.”   “Maaan.”   “So boring...”   "Are you sure this will work?" Min Woo bit his lower lip. He was thinking about something really hard, his empty eyes lingering on me.   "Trust me, this is a perfect plan." Dong Wook glanced at his wristwatch. "It's only 10am, let's wait until 4pm and then call Seung Hyun to back away. I want to let them wallow in happiness for a while longer and think he are all that. Then suddenly, with a snap of my fingers their perfect plan will crumble down" Dong Wook uttered a devilish laughter.    "Man, I am gonna enjoy this."     I thought being kidnapped would be a traumatizing experience but maybe it really depends on the gangsters? It was uncomfortable to sit with my legs and hands tied together and with scotch on my face but at least I got to sit on a soft couch and watch TV.    The guys left somewhere leaving me behind, watching rerun of some police series. It was boring but I kept watching hoping there would be some kind of kidnapping scene that would inspire me to do something really smart, like freeing myself and running away. But all they did was just talk and talk, American detectives are boring... Why didn't they show re-run of Mac Gyver?   It was around 3 pm when Min Woo came back, he was alone. It was about damn time because I needed to pee, urgently. I had been thinking about dry desert for twenty minutes already, trying to surpass the urge to just wet myself. Then they started showing some water commercials with the sounds of running water. Just my luck.   "I will remove this scotch but promise me you won't scream" Min Woo whispered while leaning closer to me. I nodded frantically and once the scotch was removed all I could say was: "Pee, pee PEE, NOW, need to pee."   He leaned back, looking startled.   "PEE! Quickly or I'll ruin this fine couch."   Without another word Min Woo scooped me on his arms carried to the bathroom but then he still had to untie my arms because there was a problem of taking my pants off and it would have been too awkward if he did that for me.    I knew he waited right behind the door and it was so quiet I was sure he heard everything. Feeling a little embarrassed I washed my hands and face before asking him to come in. I couldn't walk with my feet tied, just jump clumsily, so he carried me back to the couch.   "Are you hungy?" he asked awkwardly, rubbing his neck.   "A little" I pouted my lips and rubbed my stomach.   "Let me get something for you" he was about to walk away    "Wait, we need to do this" he grabbed the scotch "Your hands."   I sighed and stretched my hands out for him to tie again. The sticky scotch felt uncomfortable and stingy against my skin. Once he was done, he ripped the scotch with his teeth and placed the roll on the table in front of me. Glancing at me once more he walked away and I heard him shuffle somewhere behind. Soon he came back with bowl of something that looked like bibinbap, mainly rice, kimchi and bits of meat mixed together.   "Listen carefully." He took a seat next to me and scooped a spoonful of what he called food, it looked kind of disgusting. He pushed the spoon towards my mouth.   "Can't I eat by myself?" I asked in disbelief.   "No, just shut up and listen" he mumbled almost forcing me to open my mouth by sticking the spoon against my lips. The obscure reddish mass tasted better than it looked like.    "I will make sure you get out of here unharmed if you don't tell them anything." He looked cautiously around the room just to make sure no one was hiding in the shadows "If you don't tell Dong Wook about me meeting Jjang."   I nodded obediently. So Taeyang and Min Woo made some kind of deal after all. But I didn't want to get involved deeper into their shady business. There wouldn't be anything for me in spreading around secrets so naturally I decided to keep my big mouth shut. Besides, I wouldn't want to do any favors for that arrogant bomb boy.    Min Woo concentrated on feeding me and sunk in his own little world, looking all gloomy and serious. In all silence I took my time to examine his scarred face. He looked older than Dong Wook, maybe he was even in his thirties.    There was a scar across his forehead and over the corner of his right eye. His nose was a little crooked and flat and a fresh bruise colored his left cheek, maybe only a few days old.    He wasn't all that bad looking, very simple. His cheekbones were high and his eyebrows rather thin, expressive, giving him a certain bad boy charm. His rather small chocolate brown eyes had a tint of green, I stared deep into them not finding anything that would remind me of a caring human soul. He didn't seem to mind me staring at him.    He stared back at me, lazily scooping spoonful after another in my mouth, waited for me to chew and repeated the movement. His ash black, choppy hair fell over his eyes and got stuck in his long eyelashes, he blinked a few times. My eyes lowered to stare at the black tattoo peeking out from under his collar, it looked like a panther.   "So, are you and Dong Wook related?" I finally asked, my eyes leaving his face and landing at the TV screen.   "Why do you think so?"   I shrugged.   He chuckled "No, we aren't brothers. Here." He offered me a water bottle "Drink up."   "I was wondering" I frowned. "Do you know Daesung?"   "You mean Kang Daesung?" Min Woo's eyebrows arched and his eyes lit up. At this point his soul made it's first appearance in his cold eyes but only for a flash second. "You know him too?"   I realized I never asked about Daesung's family name. "The one who used to be Taeyang's good friend."   "Our dongseng" Min Woo's voice softened and there was no doubt who he was talking about.    As expected even only a faint memory of our sunshine made him smile happily, it would have made anyone.    "How is he doing nowadays? Is he still always lively and bright?"   "Yeah" I cracked a smile too.     "I miss him."      Min Woo put the water bottle away and sat deeper in the sofa, not showing any intentions of leaving. Just by one look I could tell he was in the mood to talk. Good for me, very good.    "How did you all separate?"   "That wasn't a pretty sight" Min Woo closed his eyes. "You don't need to know."   "Fine" I looked at him dully. "Then tell me about Daesung back in the days?"   "When I met him for the first time he was 14 or 15. He joined our gang because he needed to make money and fast. He said something about his grandma's medication. Eish, he was just a kid, following Dong Wook around like a lost puppy" Min Woo chuckled    "Dong Wook was God in his eyes, his mentor."   "No way" I scrunched my face.   "I know it's hard to believe but despite being bit.chy Dong Wook is a good guy. I mean, as "good" as a gangster can get."   "So they were like best buddies with Daesung?" I asked in disbelief.    "Well, kind of like a little brother and a big brother."   "By the way, how old is Dong Wook."   "27."   "Oh, he is older than me. Then how about Taeyang's and Daesung's relationship?"   "Ha ha, well Taeyang didn't really like him at first. He'd always make the poor guy do all kind of boring errands, plain torture."   "Did... did Daesung also kill people?" I looked at Min Woo from the corners of my eyes, he was staring at the TV and I prayed for him to answer no. My prayers were answered.   "Nah, he was too young back them. We let him tag along when we went fighting, he was pretty good because of his agility. Besides, we don't go around randomly killing people" he shifted his gaze at me.    "We might be monsters but not stupid. That's why hitmen exist, they know how to make everything look natural. No one want's police snooping around."   I nodded.   "So, how was Taeyang back in the days?"   Min Woo's eyes glazed with ice.    "He wasn't something I'd call human."   "Was he that bad?" My vice wavered.   "When I saw him again a few months ago I couldn't recognize him at all. It took me weeks to convince myself it is actually him. What do you know, people change..."   "Yeah, it's hard to believe Taeyang used to be some heartless gangster. He wouldn't hurt a fly now."   A dry laughter escaped Min Woo's lips. "Trust me, he would. As long as he and people he cares about are not threatened he will maintain his cool but as soon as something bad happens he won't hesitate to pull the trigger. Heck, after shooting you he'd cut your body into pieces and feed them to dogs. He once did that to one snitch."   I shuddered.    "You are kidding me."   "Nope, because what the bastar.d did endangered all of our lives. In fact, it was a miracle we got out of that one. I wouldn't enjoy my guts being spluttered all over the walls. I don't think I have ever been closer to death" Min Woo shuddered too.   "I think I have heard enough" I bit my lower lip and my cheek twitched from disgust. "Just tell me how come you all separated?"   "Do you really want to know?" he sounded amused.   "I really do" I pouted my lips and nodded.   "Well all right then." Min Woo sighed and crossed his fingers, putting his hands on his lap. "The end was bitter. We had to stop midway because otherwise we would have lost everything. Jjang gave up on the only thing he had lived for, he gave up on his long desired revenge just to save our lives. His sacrifice is something I will remember for the rest of my life, because if he had stubbornly continued with his plans we wouldn't be sitting here now."   "The situation was that bad?"   "I don't know how much you know but fighting against Sil Jang isn't an easy task. Back in the days he could crush anyone, anytime. Now it's another story."   "So you are actually against him too?"   Min Woo squinted his eyes and rubbed his lower lip. "You don't need to know what we are doing right now."   "Then why don't you join your forces with Taeyang and others?" I ignored his scolding look.   "First of all, Jjang doesn't want to come back and I respect his wishes, second the moment Dong Wook finds out his whereabouts they will just kill each other and I don't want to see that happen. That's partly the reason why Daesung left us. He got into a really big fight with Dong Wook about Jjang."   "What did Taeyang and Dong Wook fight about, anyway? Can't they just talk it over?"   Min Woo raised a brow. "Sometimes situation heats so much words don't help anymore. I guess I can tell you about this. Well" Min Woo rubbed his chin.   "Don't tell me it's about a woman..." I said dully.   He laughed.    "Don't worry, not everything is about women. Besides, when it comes to Jjang hardly anything concerns women."   "Except Mi Seol?"   "How much do you actually know?" Min Woo sounded pretty impressed.   "A lot" I flashed a proud smile.    "I wonder if you know the truth?"   "What do you mean?"   "The whole story behind Mi Seol?"   "She was Sil Jang's ty girlfriend and was sent to sneak information about Taeyang."   Min Woo's eyes glinted. "I see, so Daesung has been talking again..." he chuckled. "Well, I might actually even understand why he lied."   "What do you mean" My body stiffened. "Tell me" My voice wavering with excitement.   "I will protect you, I will make sure that bastar.d will never come hunt you down, I will help you get free. Jjang promised, he rest assured nothing would go wrong. Sil Jang wanted to marry Mi Seol but she wanted to run away and hide. She knew, alone she would end up bleeding dry so she crawled back to Jjang, knowing very well he wouldn't refuse to help her."   I gaped at Min Woo, my blood freezing over. And I already forgot he was supposed to tell about the disband of the gang. In the end he never told me... and when I found out later, I actually laughed.    "To cut the long story short. Jjang actually met Mi Seol long before Sil Jang entered the picture. She left him disappearing for years, then came back, got into trouble and begged him to help her. Because of her, everything got ruined, our gang disbanded and Jjang disappeared. Also, when it comes to Mi Seol... that's when Sang Doo comes in the picture too, I assume you know who he is?"   I nodded.    Taeyang's best friend, Jjang's right hand man.   The day I met Taeyang for the first time.   Sang Doo died.   "She fell in love with him and then things started to go wrong. You see, Sil Jang promised to let her go, lies of course, if she seduces Jjang and lingers around him as a spy.    I have to give some props to her because she didn't want, or didn't dare to do it and told everything to Jjang. After giving it a thought he told her to follow Sil Jang's orders, no one knew about this except them two as this was an extremely secret operation. Even though Sang Doo was Jjang's best friend he still decided to keep him out of the mess. Which apparently was a huge mistake.    Actually everything would have gone well if not Sang Woo and Mi Seol falling in love. They of course kept their feelings a secret but one day, absolutely accidentally Jjang surprised them engaged in not so pure actions.    Being a coward Mi Seol came up with the lie Sang Doo her but Jjang didn't believe her and his mistake was to expect Sang Doo to trust in him as much. But Sang Doo... he was too blinded by love to be in his right mind." Min Woo shook his head as if showing me how desperate that situation had been.   "Let me guess" I spoke slowly. "So, Sang Doo was scared Jjang would do something to him and went to Sil Jang?"   "At this point, I am not sure what were his thoughts. Maybe. Maybe he was scared to die or then, maybe he did it because of Mi Seol or because he felt apologetic towards Jjang.    Everything went as Sil Jang planned originally, he wanted Sang Doo on his side because he was the best hitman around and he got him. But I want to believe there was no betrayal from Sang Doo's part. Maybe he found out about the plan and played along without anyone knowing. I really don't know."    To me it just looked like Sang Doo was a cowardly as.shole but I didn't dare to blurt such things when I saw Min Woo's thoughtful face. He really looked and sounded like he would believe in Sang Doo's innocence until he dies. Maybe Sang Doo was worth all the trust. Just maybe. Looking back at the whole story I wonder how come I never realized the importance of trust? Sometimes, you just have to follow your heart and trust the person you care about no matter what, even blindly. Or then, you might lose more than you are ready to let go.    I miss you.   "Then Jiyong gets involved."   "Of course" My face turned sour. "Where ever there is trouble there he is too."   "No, this was all planned." Some strange sparkle appeared in Min Woo's eyes.   "Hmmm, Seung Hyun" He suddenly grew quiet. "No, I mean Jiyong, sorry I was about to make too big of a leap forward with the story" he chuckled and I squinted my eyes at him, feeling a little suspicious.    “Anyway, I don't know how Mi Seol bumped into him but she knew very well that Jiyong was one of the wanted men on Sil Jang's list so she asked for his help. Since they met in a club and were both drunk they came with this idiotic idea to “have ” in Sil Jang's bed.    When it comes to Jiyong everything has to be outrageous and memorable. His hate towards Sil Jang surpassed all of his senses, there was no fear. He helped Bom to get out of Sil Jang's grasp and so, to get another woman away from him sounded like a perfect idea. His life was hellish at that time, always staying in hiding so Sil Jang's men wouldn't be able to catch him."   "So he was in the gang too?"   "No, he never met Jjang. Seung Hyun was more involved, but only a bit later."   "And what does that mean?"   "It's not important" Min Woo shook his hand in the midair. "So, do you know why Jiyong and Mi Seol didn't go all the way and stayed fully clothed under the blankets?"   "Why?" I whispered, my body growing rigid.   "So they could run away the minute Sil Jang stepped in."   My cheek twitched again.   “I don't know how they got away but in his bed they were like two wounded deers in a sight of a hunter. I can imagine how happy they were when they got away, succeeding to take revenge on Sil Jang in this way.    From that moment on he couldn't trust Mi Seol, he knew he lost her forever. And in this way his hate directed at Jiyong more than at her. So he told Sang Doo he will let him have Mi Seol and freedom if he succeeds in killing Jiyong."   Finally the picture was crystal clear in my mind. Jiyong's recklessness got him into trouble. Mr, Vengeance, what a joke. Of course, Dong Wook didn't know about his sister's activities and her death came as a huge blow to him. I won't blame him for hating Jjang anymore because he didn't really have any other opinions. He probably sill doesn't know the truth. And because of this all, the gang broke up. I see. But what about Seung Hyun then? Hmmm...    (A/N: in fact the gang broke because of something else but that is not important right now.)   "Did you know that..." Min Woo smiled bittersweetly. "Mi Seol, she died for nothing?"   Silence fell in the room and all I could hear was the loud beating of my heart.         The prince saved the princess from a monster and she ran away with the fool. Then...   Happily ever after was totally ruined.         "Sang Doo didn't know half of it. Even though Jjang was in love he never got blinded by it like that fool Sang Doo did. You see, the outcome of Sil Jang's promise... it was what it was."       When things don't go according to the script.   When fairy tale turns upside down.   Then...   The moon breaks and you shatter into pieces.   There is no happy ending.   No happily ever after.   There is nothing.       "Let me summarize the story. This was the first time Jjang couldn't keep his promise. Dong Wook wasn't happy to hear the news about his sister and when Jjang didn't let him have his revenge, he did something behind our backs. He almost killed Seung Hyun by letting Bae stab him. He was the one who offered Seung Hyun on the plate for Sil Jang."   If I could, I would have covered my mouth with my both hands. I started even feeling sick in my stomach and the food I had consumed a wile ago urged to come out. My eyes got moist and I fought back the tears, pleading them silently not to fall. A web of misunderstandings, lies, hatred, vengeance, pain and repressed sadness. I know that back then, blinded by all these boiling emotions it was hard to see past Sil Jang's plan to break the oppression. But now it was all clear. How did it all start and how did it all end? He calculated everything so well, taking in account that Mi Seol might betray him. He wanted them to kill each other like cats and dogs, it was his plan all along.        And I finally understood.   Sil Jang   He is a scary man.       "If you are wondering why did Daesung lie to you I can explain. Didn't his story sound so much better than mine? Wasn't it easier to accept? Wasn't it easier to forgive Seung Hyun for what he did? He is not as clean and innocent as you might imagine him to be. He is the worst."   I remembered Daesung's words clearly, the impact they had left on me it was too powerful. But, his story had been so different. "B-but Hyun W-woo" I stammered. “He almost died.”   Min Woo's face stiffened. " Back then, Seung Hyun had exactly two seconds to decide. If he had stopped his motorbike Sang Doo might have finished Jiyong off but Sang Doo had stopped his motorbike too. Mi Seol was much more important than Jiyong and Seung Hyun knew it. Who knows, perhaps he also held some grudges against Mi Seol for getting Jiyong into the mess. But there are no excuses.   It would have been easy for Seung Hyun to stop Sang Doo in any other more human way but this.   If only his motives were clean like that, if only he had only thought about Jiyong. But no, I know what he was thinking about. He wanted to end it all and he knew that with Mi Seol's death Sang Doo's and Jjang's ties would be cut. It would destroy the bits of friendship they had left and also stop Sil Jang's wrath towards Jiyong. If Mi Seol died and Sang Doo didn't manage to finish off Jiyong, he'd get blamed for everything and he wouldn't dare to show his face in front of Jjang ever again. If Jjang decided to look for him he'd hide. Everything between them would be over.   Jjang was letting Sang Doo have Mi Seol but the basta.rd never understood his true intentions. He was scared to death of Jjang's revenge which the latter never planned. By killing Mi Seol Seung Hyun killed two birds at once. Because Sang Doo got hurt too he was captured, taken away by the police. Four years in prison and he got killed by one of Sil Jang's men. He blamed Sang Doo in everything, not succeeding in killing Jiyong and losing Mi Seol, like Seung Hyun had calculated. And the other thing, he saved Jiyong.   She died for nothing because even if she didn't die things could have been taken care of. Seung Hyun is just fcking greedy. When he wants something he takes it, without a second thought. He fcking wanted to get his hands dirty even if it would shake his mentality like it did. Jiyong "maybe not being dead" was just an excuse because Seung Hyun didn't really believe he was alive anymore. For a reason he needed to do it, he needed to kill someone innocent like Mi Seol. Well, I wouldn't call her that innocent but still... She was just a confused young girl."   Min Woo stayed silent for a long moment, leaving me alone with all these wounding thoughts. I also realized that Seung Hyun... With all his abilities to stay unnoticed and invisible (like this morning), his intelligence, his wide connections, money, fame, strength, agility, lies.            Seung Hyun.   Is a scary man too.       "He needed to kill someone to get that witch's acceptance. If not her, life would be so much easier. That fcking bit.ch, she ruined everything with her ridiculous grudges. I wouldn't be surprised if one day Seung Hyun died because of her. Well, that's what he is basically asking for. I am amused to see how far he is willing to go because of this."   "Who?"   "Bom's mother."   "But..." I croaked. "Isn't she supposed to be on the good side? She wants to catch Sil Jang and-" My insides turned inside down. Please, when will all these shocking revelations stop.   "That's the problem. You see, in our world the line between good and bad is so fickle I wouldn't even call anything good or bad, I'd just call everything plain dirty. Once you get involved with mafia your hands can't stay clean. Bom's mother is something like a definition of a dirty game. She has never played fair. It's stupid and useless to play fair, anyway."   "But when I met her... she"

Chapter 76: Usually a silent reader but couldnt help it but to post this time round. The story was crazily confusing at first but it slowly reveals towards the end... Which was a longgggg process. Tbh dara's character in this story makes me wanna strangle her, she talks too much, annoy ppl too much and is very frustrating. (If someone ever format my computer w impt info, i will kill her on the spot. She is so childish it makes me wanna slap her.) Sometimes i hope she will shut her trap and just go away. There are too many theories abt the fairytales thingy and makes it really draggy and frustrating, i usually skipped about 3-4 paragraphs of words cos they dont really matter in the story.

Its still a good read, different and unique in its way. Thanks for the remake.
