Sixteen.
Into The Forest.
“You don’t think its possible right?” Lay asked Kyungsoo as they walked off.
Kyungsoo frowned at Lay “What?”
“That if our blood mixed with hers that she’d end up kind of like us.” Lay aired his thoughts to Kyungsoo; the others were listening intently too and were wondering the exact same thing.
Kyungsoo shrugged as he turned to look at the pavement ahead of him “I don’t know Lay I’m just as in the dark about this as everyone else.”
“How old is Tori?” Xiumin asked as he came to a standstill.
Luhan rose an eyebrow at him “I think she’s seventeen. Why? And why are you stopping?”
“Just because she’s home doesn’t mean she’s safe.” Xiumin said as he looked over his shoulder at her house “I’ll take the first shift. It’s just that when we turn eighteen our senses are heightened.”
“Oh.”
“Are you sure?” Baekhyun asked “I mean one of us could –”
“It’s fine.” Xiumin waved his hand in dismissal “I’ll meet you back at home okay?” he turned around and made his way back towards her house.
The others left reluctantly as Xiumin warped into a bird and perched himself on the branch outside of Tori’s bedroom window. He thought deeply about it, it was already almost the end of the year. Luhan’s birthday was next which was in April, of course Sehun’s was too but he was nowhere near being eighteen. It was the reason why Xiumin walked like he had no presence, why no one could sense him coming because at midnight the night before his eighteenth he had changed entirely.
He couldn’t help but assume that the reason why Tori was able to heal quicker than she did when she had hurt her hand was because she was getting closer to her birthday. The sudden flicker of lights coming from her bedroom made him snap out of it and his eyes immediately went to her.
When he noticed that she started to undress he looked away out of common courtesy and if it was at all possible for a bird to blush then he would be right now. Because even if he wasn’t human he was still a man, he was still a gentleman underneath his hard exterior.
After Tori had gotten changed she pulled her long black hair back into a pony tail before she propped her leg up on the bed and pulled her trousers. Her eyebrows creased in the middle as her finger outlined the scar.
He couldn’t help but follow her finger from the scar near the edge of her ankle all the way until the middle of her leg. He watched as the same hand came up to tuck a strand of hair behi
