As the light poured in the next morning, you had woken up snuggled next to Luhan. When you had realized the position you were in, you couldn’t help but immediately pull away, accidentally falling over your bed.

The loud thud caused the boy to wake up, “…Hayeon?”

His voice was soft, almost like a murmur. You groaned lightly and rubbed your sides. Well that hurt – a lot. You saw Luhan lean over the side of the bed, giving you weird looks.

“Morning?” you smiled sheepishly since this was sort of an odd way to start off a day.

He rubbed his eyes with one hand, “What are you doing on the floor?”

“It was an accident!” you replied almost immediately.

Chuckling, he couldn’t help but find you silly. Judging by his expression this morning, you could tell he must’ve had a good sleep. You were glad since he definitely seemed a bit down last night.

Standing up, you went to the bathroom to brush your teeth and wash your face. Looking at the location of the sun, you could tell that it was still quite early.

Luhan made his way to the bathroom afterwards while you fixed your hair.

Smiling to yourself, you noted his ruffled clothes and messy bed hair. It looked quite attractive on him. However, you knew if you had messy hair, you’d look like a mental patient.

Again, life just wasn’t fair.

“I’m going to go down first to see if my mom’s awake and make breakfast,” you called out to Luhan and he nodded in return.

Heading down the stairs, you realized that it was all quiet. You figured it was because your mom hadn’t wake up yet, so you decided to start on breakfast. What stood out when you arrived at the kitchen was there was a piece of paper on the table.

Sweetheart,

I’ll be leaving first – I just realized that I had a check-up scheduled this morning and I can’t afford to be late. Don’t worry about me. I’ll be catching a cab and heading up back home. Good luck with Luhan! I can tell he’s a wonderful boy and you shouldn’t let him go. I know you’re still afraid of people because of that trait, but you can’t stay alone forever – be more like your grandmother.

“She left already?” a voice turned up behind you, “…Oh? Trait? What does she mean by that?”

You spun around, holding the letter tightly in your hand, “Luhan. Oh um, yeah. I guess she left. Well, of course she means personality traits!”

Nodding, you figured that was a good explanation. Obviously, you knew that wasn’t what she meant – she meant your ability.

Luhan reached out and took the paper, quickly reading over it before smiling to himself, “You know, she’s right. I am quite the catch.”

Gently, you shoved him in the chest, “Yeah right! You’re much more like the dangerous wolf that I shouldn’t be near!”

“And yet you can’t bear to part with me,” he grinned, “Am I that attractive?”

Rolling your eyes, you walked past him, “You’re really narcissist you know?”

Then, you headed for the front door. Luhan followed you curiously, wondering what you were doing or where you were going. He watched you put on some shoes and a large coat.

“Where are you going?” he finally asked, “It’s so early!”

“It’s called a morning walk,” you replied, arms crossed, “Ever heard of one before?”

He slightly shook his head and quickly grabbed his shoes and jacket, “I’m going with you.”

At first, you were hesitant to let him join you.

You were going to be perfectly fine by yourself!

However, he insisted that it was because it was his duty to watch over you and protect you – blah, blah, blah. You just shook your head in disbelief.

“Do what you want,” was the reply you gave him.

The two of you began to head out into the light snow that had accumulated over the night. It was really nice to see the beautiful untouched snow. It calmed you a lot the way your song calmed Luhan the other night.

Suddenly the two of you heard a loud cry from the distance: “SOMEONE! PLEASE HELP!”

You and Luhan exchanged glances and then the two of you raced off into the distance. Something was wrong and if you two could help, you two would.

But first, you had to find where the voice was coming from and what was wrong.
