Inside, Sofia was hooked up to IVs and tubes of all kinds.  A heart monitor kept track of her heartbeat, which was remaining steady.  Her eyes were closed and a breathing mask was placed over her nose and mouth.  Ryeowook instantly felt guilty for not protecting her better.  Gently, he took her hand and intertwined their fingers.

"Jagiya, I'm so sorry for protecting you.  I should have come with you or stopped you." Ryeowook lamented.

"Its not your fault.  She would have done it anyway.  She's stubborn like that." explained Haneul.

Everyone was exhausted since they had been through a lot that night.  They slumped in chairs in awkward sleeping positions.  Ryeowook stayed by Sofia's bedside, folding his arms and laying his head on top of them.  Their manager had arrived sometime earlier to bring them snacks and changes of clothes.  For that, Ryeowook was greatful.  He sighed and tried to fall asleep, but couldn't.  He hated seeing Sofia like this.  A small sound startled him and he found that it was Sofia that made the noise.

"...Wook..." Sofia mumbled.

Ryeowook leapt up and started to whisper her name.  Her eyes were twitching, so Ryeowook knew that she was trying to wake up.  He kept encouraging her until she finally opened her eyes and blinked a few times.

"Where...am I?" she rasped.

"The hospital.  I'm going to call a nurse, so hang on for a bit." Ryeowook said and pressed the call button.

The nurse appeared a few moments later and checked Sofia's vitals.  The nurse asked Sofia some basic questions and made some notes on her clipboard. She declared that Sofia would be fine with a lot of rest and left the room.

"Oppa, it hurts everywhere." Sofia complained now that her breathing mask was off.

"I know jagiya.  If only I-" Sofia cut him off by putting her finger to his lips.

"Don't.  Just don't.  It was my decision, not yours." Sofia said, determined to not let Ryeowook blame himself.

Ryeowook sighed and knew he wouldn't win.  He opted to stay quiet and place a gentle kiss on her forehead since her lip was swollen and most likely painful.  Now he really took notice of her facial injuries.  Her cheeks were bruised and with cuts on them, her lip was cut and swollen, and there was a gash on the side of her forehead that was stitched up.  Thankfully, her eyes were untouched.

"Yah, is she awake?" whispered Yesung.

"Yeah oppa." Sofia said softly.

Yesung smiled and proceeded to wake the others by whacking them with his pillow.  When he told them the news, they all crowded around her bed.  They all talked at once and only stopped when Ryeowook glared at them and said that she needed her rest.

What does the rest of your body look like?" asked Ryeowook when everyone had fallen back asleep.

"Kim Ryeowook, I never thought you could be a ert!" Sofia teased.

"That's not what I meant and you know it!" defended Ryeowook while a blush creeped its way into his cheeks.

"I'm honestly not sure.  I've been asleep until now.  I'm still going to tell everyone that you wanted to see my body." Sofia said mischieviously.

"Yah!  I'm trying to sleep here!" Heechul snapped, annoyed at being woken up.

"Ryeowook oppa wants to see me ." Sofia said, purposely twisting his words.

"BWOH?!?!  I never-" Ryeowook said, not being able to finish his sentence out of embarrassment.

"Naughty, naughty.  Propositioning her while she's in the hospital.  Since you're being a ert, I'll have to punish you." Heechul said and smirked.

He walked behind Ryeowook and put him in a headlock.  Ryeowook protested his innoncence while Heechul tried to get him to apologize for being a ert.  Because of all the commotion, Kangin woke up.  Heechul explained what happened and Kangin joined in to help "punish" the eternal maknae.  It ended up being a tickle attack that only stopped when Eunhyuk woke up and yelled at them.  Sofia laughed and knew everything would be alright from now on.
