Chapter 77
Fifteen AngelsThe drive back to the dorm was silent. Sofia had her head leaning against the window and Ryeowook was thinking about how to broach the subject of Haneul with Sofia. It was obvious the two knew each other, but Sofia was blocking him out of her life because of his connection with Zane or something else happened between them. When they reached the privacy of their bedroom, he decided to just be blunt about it.
"Sofia, who was that? Don't say you don't know because I know you do." Ryeowook said bluntly.
"Fine. His name is Park Haneul and, unfortunately, he's my older brother. Just by blood though." Sofia said bitterly.
"Why didn't you tell me this before?" Ryeowook asked, sounding hurt.
"Because he's a poor excuse for an oppa. End of story." Sofia said with finality.
"No, not end of story. What happened between you two that made you hate him so much?" Ryeowook asked, knowing he was taking a giant risk by pressing the issue.
"Ryeowook, just drop it. I don't want to talk about it." Sofia snapped.
Ryeowook knew that he had angered her and left the room to give Sofia some time to cool down. Shindong came home from his schedule and noticed two things. One was the awkward atmosphere and two was Ryeowook, who was sitting on the sofa and looking exasperated.
"What's wrong Wookie?" asked Shindong after he got himself settled next to his dongsang.
"Its Sofia. I made her angry hyung." said Ryeowook and blew out a puff of air.
"An angry woman is a scary woman. What exactly did you do?" inquired Shindong.
Ryeowook explained what happened on their lunch date and the conversation he had with her when they came home. Shindong listened with an attentive ear. After Ryeowook was done, Shindong sighed and squeezed his shoulder reassuringly.
"So, what should I do hyung?" asked Ryeowook.
"Give her some time to cool down. Then apologize. Don't bring up this Haneul person unless she brings it up first. Hwaiting!" Shindong said and he went to his room.
Mustering up his courage and swallowing his pride, Ryeowook went into their room. Sofia was sitting on the bed, her back leaning against the headboard and reading. She looked up when he entered and snapped her book shut.
"Jagiya, I'm sorry I kept pressing you about Haneul. I'm just curious about him." Ryeowook said.
"Apology accepted. I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have snapped at you like that and kept you in the dark Haneul. I'll tell you about him and then you'll understand why I cut him out of my life." said Sofia.
Author's note: Chapter 77 is done! I had to split this part up into two parts otherwise it would have been crazy long. Next update will be on Friday! COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBE! :)
