Day 57
2013, Year of UsTuesday February 26th, 2013
“Apparently I was not a likable person.” Yu-ki announced to Baekhyun dropping her bag on his studio floor.
“Like I didn’t already know that.” Baekhyun spoke under his breath.
“We are never going back to Hong Kong.” She continued choosing to ignore his comment. “I don’t remember much, but I’m certain the two of us did not get along.”
“I’m assuming you are speaking about that guy in Hong Kong and not about me.” He spoke seriously. “Is it safe to say you found something you did not like while you went home?”
“Yeah, the sad thing is, I can’t even justify if I was worth hating.” Yu-ki grabbed at her hair frustrated.
“If it makes you feel better I can tell you that he wasn’t even formally invited to the show.” Baekhyun supplied helpfully. “He was the plus one of Chairman Hong’s plus one. He was almost rejected at the door.”
“It does make me feel a little better.” Yu-ki admitted. “I just wish I knew what I did that made me so hateful.”
“I dunno, he’s probably like an ex-boyfriend with a grudge or something.” Baekhyun suggested.
“God I hope not.” She groaned. “He is like the exact opposite of what I look for in a guy.”
“You mean you’re not interested in guys who expect you throw yourself at the mention of their parents’ name or bank account?” Baekhyun responded sarcastically with a slight smile. “Who would’ve thought?”
“Who indeed?” Yu-ki answered with a smile of her own.
“Wow, look at you two being all buddy-buddy.” Jongin entered looked between the two of the slightly proud. “Just to think, a few months ago you two never held a proper conversation with each other. How times have changed.”
Baekhyun rolled his eyes. “Shut up Jongin.”
As the three wandered off, Yu-ki remained and thought about everything she knew regarding her relationship with Baekhyun. Thinking back to when she first met Baekhyun, for the second time that is, she could easily see why they wouldn’t get along. Honestly, it wasn’t until a week and a half ago that Yu-ki had found herself actually thinking of him as a friend and not whatever they were before. Ever since what happened in Hong Kong, something changed in their dynamic and an unspoken bond grew between the two of them.
“I don’t know if what Jongin said earlier was true,” Yu-ki caught Baekhyun while the other two were changing, “But, I think I prefer what we have now instead.” She smiled at him. “And I apologize for anything I might have done in the past.” Yu-ki quickly finished her speech as the other two were emerging from the other room in their normal clothes ready to go home.
From: Byun Baekhyun
I should be the one to apologize. But, yeah, I prefer what we have now too.
