Day 42
2013, Year of UsMonday February 11th, 2013
“Oh, Yu-ki.” She looked up at the sound of her name. It was Yixing by the door taking off his shoes.
“Yixing ge~” Yu-ki waved happily from the floor.
“What are you doing here?” he walked over to her taking a seat beside her. The two were in one of the lesser used dance studio at the university.
“I don’t know, Jongin just texted me to come to this room, but he’s kinda late.” Yu-ki showed Yixing the message. “Are you guys doing something?”
“Yeah, we’re practicing a piece for the open house. Seven of us were chosen and Jongin and I have a little duet segment. We’re supposed to represent the Dance department. It’s kinda a huge burden.” His hand went to scratch the back of his neck nervously.
“I’m sure you’ll do fine.” Yu-ki reassured him.
“Sorry I’m late!” The door banged open and in walked a slightly out of breath Jongin struggling to remove his shoes.
“It’s okay.” Yu-ki went to grab his backpack and placed it beside her bags. “We were just talking anyways.”
After Jongin had gotten his shoes off began to discuss animatedly with Yixing about some ideas for choreography. Yu-ki cleared loudly. “Not to interrupt or something, but if you’re busy, I can leave.” She walked to grab her bag.
“Wait, stay, I called you here for a reason.” He grabbed onto her arm dragging her back to the mirrored wall.
“And what might that reason be?” she asked.
“So you can tell me how much of a better dancer I am than Yixing hyung.” Jongin declared smugly. Yu-ki rolled her eyes.
“Have fun practicing.” She made to get up.
“Just kidding.” Jongin stopped her again. “You’re here as creative insight. You tell us what looks good and what doesn’t.” Yu-ki groaned.
“Do I have to? I don’t know the first thing about dancing.” She cutely pouted.
“Please,” Jongin scoffed. “Do you know how many times you’ve helped us choreograph? Right Yixing hyung?” he turned to the older male.
“Yeah, you’re really blunt with your comments sometimes Yu-ki. One time you told us to change a move since we, and I quote, ‘look like you’re plunging a toilet’.” Yixing commented as he rummaged through his bag for a CD.
"See, so you’re helping.” Jongin smiled hopefully.
“Fine. But if it turns out bad it is not my fault.”
“You’re the best!” Jongin hugged her. “This piece will be our best one yet.”
