“How was your trip?” Joonmyun asked as Yu-ki fell into the chair across from his.

“Eventful.” She responded. “I learned some things while I was home. Things about my family, my friends. About myself.”

“Really? What did you learn about me?” He looked slightly over her shoulder at something behind her.

“Oh, nothing much.” Just the fact that you know my best friend.

“Did you find what you were looking for though?”

“More or less.” Yu-ki said vaguely.

“You look like you have something more to say.” Joonmyun said after a few minutes of Yu-ki just staring at him without a sound as he worked.

“H-” She stuttered. How you do you know Jongin? “I’m going to drop out.” Yu-ki blurted instead.

“What? Why?” Joonmyun glanced up eyes widening marginally. Again, his eyes flitting slightly behind her.

“I’ve done a lot of thinking and I realized that it’s not too late to change what my life has become. I mean I’m content with where I ended up and I don’t doubt my past decisions, but I just can’t help but think that this isn’t where I was supposed to end up.”

“So you’re leaving.” Joonmyun stated worry and fear etched across his face.
