Ilhoon went to the hallway windows to see if you were coming or not. That's when he realized that the teacher was there near the doorway. He spotted you behind the wall waiting for the teacher to leave. 
"Hey guys, the reason why _____ is not back yet is because the teacher's right in front of the room." he said. The other two went up to the windows to look. 

"Now what are we going to do?" asked Peniel. 
"There is nothing else to do but to wait for everything to happen," said Ilhoon. 

Then the door knob started moving. They looked out to see the teacher trying to unlock the door. The teacher tilted his head wondering why it had been unlocked already. He went in to see the guys sitting in their seats. "Hey, weren't there four of you? Where's the girl?" he asked.

"Ermm..." "She Uhh..." "Ummm..." the guys all said. "I’m here," you said as you came in the room. "And where were you when you were supposed to be in this room?" the teacher questioned. "I went to the bathroom," you answered. "And how were you able to get out?" 

"Umm... You left it unlocked?" you said in a unsure manner. "Nice try, I know I locked the door before I left." he said.  "You know there are security cameras right? You think I'm not watching but I actually am," he looked at you, then to the guys. 

"Ilhoon and _____. Detention extended for two more days," he said. "What?! But I really had to use the restroom badly! Ilhoon helped me unlock the door so I wouldn't have to pee in my pants!" you said. "Well you should have gone to the restroom before you came to detention, huh?" he said and continued, “I know you guys have tryouts so you won't have to come tomorrow. BUT you’ll have an extra day of detention. So Minhyuk and Peniel will have 2 more days of detention. ______ has 3 left and Ilhoon has 4 days left. “

“Thanks a lot _____,” said Ilhoon. “Sorry…” you replied.

Detention ended and you guys exited the room. Ilhoon left already and you were still with Peniel and Minhyuk. You remembered that you still had to give Minhyuk his umbrella back from yesterday. You took it out of your backpack and went to him. “Here’s your umbrella. Thanks for letting me use it yesterday,” said told him. Minhyuk took it from you. You turned around to leave and he spoke. “You know,” he said. “You should stay with Ilhoon for the last day of his detention. So he won’t be lonely in the room by himself. It could be a way of paying him back because you got him in trouble.” he finished a left with Peniel. His words ran through your head. You thought about it and believed it was reasonable.

After school the next day was basketball tryouts. You changed and headed to the bleachers. A few people were already there but not everybody. Soon, people piled up. Zelo and his friends found you and went to sit next to you. You saw Peniel come out to the locker room followed by Ilhoon and Minhyuk. He waved to you and went to sit.

The two coaches arrived, one lady and one man. “Hey guys! Glad to see this much people trying out this year. Call me Coach Ahn. I’ll be the coach for the girls’ team,” said the lady. “And that is coach Woo, the guys coach,” she said as she pointed to your PE teacher who was standing next to her.

“Ok! We’ll start tryouts with a warm up. Everyone run two laps around the track field.” Everyone got up while groaning and whining and headed to the track. After running, everyone was huffing except for the ones that walked the entire thing. Coach Woo made them do 20 push-ups for not running the laps and delaying the tryouts. “Next let’s do another warm up. Everyone get in groups of 5 and line up behind the line. You looked around for Zelo but he was already in a group of five with his friends. Then you tried to look for Peniel, Ilhoon, and Minhyuk but they were also already in a group. You felt a tap on your shoulder and you turned around. It was one of the girls that were on the same team as you last time you played basketball in PE.

“Are you in a group yet?” she asked and you shook your head. “Ok then do you want to join our group? We need one more person.” “Sure,” you replied and walked over to where they were.

“Everyone has a group right?” Coach Ahn said and started taking basketballs from the rack and throwing them to each group. “Now I want the first person in the line to dribble to the other side of the court and dribble back. Then pass the ball to the next person in line and so on and so on. Easy. And remember that this isn’t a race. It’s just a warm up.” She blew the whistle and people started dribbling. You were the last one in the line so you had to wait for the ones in front of you to go first. You were watching the other people dribble. Some of them were showing off by doing some moves while dribbling. The coaches weren’t even paying attention to them. It was your turn and you dribbled smoothly and came back.

“Alright,” said Coach Woo. “Now all the girls will go to the hoop on the right side of the court and the boys go to the hoop on left side.” Everyone separated and went to their side. You followed the other girls and went to the right.

“Okay girls. Now I’ll have individuals shoot baskets. You’ll see that in the court, the ground has numbers in circles. Those are the spots you can shoot from. Each spot is worth a different amount from 1 to 4. Everyone will have one minute to shoot as much as possible. I’ll be counting so try and get as much points as possible. Everyone got it?” “Yes,” you and the other girls replied. “I’ll be calling names from the list I have here. First, we have Ga, Miyoung.”

Everyone moved out of the court and the coach threw the ball to Miyoung and she walked to the free throw line which was worth 3 points. “Ready,” said Coach Ahn. “Go!” Miyoung threw the ball and missed. She ran towards the ball and went to the point right next to the basket which was worth 1 point. She shot from there and made it. She tried taking farther shots from the baskets but missed most of them so most of the she shot from the one point marks. “Miyoung, try the point farthest from the basket, it’s worth 4 points which is worth the most,” Miyoung tried it but also missed. As the ball fell to the floor, time was up. “Time’s up. Miyoung, you got 6 points. Next is Soojin.”

After her were a few more people. They were pretty good. The highest had gotten around to 20 points. Then the coach called out your name. “________, you’re next.”

On the other side of the court, Coach Woo was going to move on to his next person when he noticed that you were up next. “Hey guys, let’s take a break for a minute.” The boys wondered why he would let them take a break but realized that he wanted to watch you shoot baskets. All the guys ended up watching you which included Zelo, Peniel, Ilhoon, and Minhyuk.

The person who went before you passed the ball. You were nervous as you walked to the farthest point from the basket. “Okay,” she got her timer ready and said, “Go!” You threw the ball and made it into the basket. “Nice,” said Coach Ahn as she wrote some notes down on her clipboard. Zelo decided to cheer for you,”Yeah! Go ____!” That ended up having everyone’s attention towards Zelo but went right back to you. Your confidence rose up as you ran for the ball and went to the 1 point spots. You made all of them and went back to the 2 point ones. You missed once but made it in twice. You went to the 3 point spots and threw from there three times and made it for all of them. “4 seconds,” said Coach Ahn. Hearing that, you rushed to the 4 point spot and shot from there. You heard the timer ring and the ball swish through the net. “Good job _______,” said the coach. “24 points.” You were still out of breath from running around. “Thanks,” you said.

“She’s pretty good don’t you guys think?” said Coach Woo. “That’s my sister!” Zelo said proudly. “Uh... Yeah sure… whatever,” the guys all said and continued to do what they were doing before they had gotten distracted by you.  

That session continued on until all of the girls went. “Okay, all the girls had gone right? Now the highest points reached were 24, made by _______.” The girls all clapped for you and you smiled. “Jiyeon and Eunji both tied and behind her by 2 points.”
