ONE WEEK LATER.

Nayeon and Jeongyeon were visiting the Hahm Family at their house.

Jeongyeon introduced Nayeon to the couple. While she already introduced herself to them a few days ago.

"Mr Hahm, Mrs Hahm, this is Im Nayeon. You might have heard about her, she's quite famous in this town." Jeongyeon said.

"Oh yes, we've heard about her." Mr Hahm said. "Miss Im, you have donated money quite a lot for this city, and for the orphanage too. Thank you very much. I'm really concerned about the orphans in this town. You see I also adopted an orphan, two years ago."

"Seoyeon, isn't it? Her name?" Nayeon asked.

"Yes, her name is Seoyeon."

Jeongyeon then said. "Now, Mr and Mrs Hahm, we would like to inform you something very confidential. This is regarding your daughter, Seoyeon."

The couple frowned. "What is it, Jeongyeon-ssi?"

Jeongyeon glanced for a moment at Nayeon. She then spoke, "This woman in front of you here, she is Seoyeon's relative."

"Relative?"

"Yes, Mr Hahm. Seoyeon's birth mother is a cousin of Im Nayeon, and we can show you the evidence for that." Jeongyeon said as she then took out all the document that can support their claim, like birth certificate, orphanage records, etc. Some of these documents were fake of course.

"Seoyeon is actually a member of Im Family, and Nayeon-ssi here wants to adopt her. But due to some circumstances, the Im wants to keep this secret. So please do not disclose this information to other people. And for this, we will give you some rewards." Jeongyeon said as she handed a check with a huge amount of money written on it.

Mr and Mrs Hahm stared at each other, they were quite shocked to receive this news.

"Miss Im, Seoyeon has been living with us for quite a long time. I really love Seoyeon. I can't imagine her being separated from me," said Mrs Hahm.

Upon hearing this, Nayeon pleaded.

"Mr Hahm, Mrs Hahm, Seoyeon's birth mother had died last year, and before she died, she asked me to search for Seoyeon and adopt her. So please let me adopt Seoyeon. She is a member of our family. Please give Seoyeon what is rightfully hers. She needs to be returned to her own family. Please let me adopt Seoyeon, and I will raise her as my own child."

The Hahm couple stared at each other again. Mr Hahm then took a hold of Mrs Hahm's hand.

"Please let me discuss this with my wife first."

The Hahm couple then withdrew to their room, leaving Jeongyeon and Nayeon in the guest room.

After a moment, the couple returned to them.

"Miss Im. Seoyeon has been very happy living with us. But we know it's the best to send her back to her family. We agree to let you adopt her." Mr Hahm said, and upon hearing this Nayeon bowed politely.

"Thank you very much, Mister." Nayeon said.

"You're welcome, Miss Im. Please carry on with the adoption process. But remember, we also have to think about Seoyeon's condition. She has been living with us for quite a long time, even longer than her time in the orphanage. We're the only parents she knows right now. She might need time to adapt herself in the new family." Mr Hahm said.

"Don't worry about that, Mr Hahm. We will do our best for Seoyeon, and we will also consider the psychological effects for her." Jeongyeon said.

"And we will take Seoyeon to visit you very often too, so that she won't forget you." Nayeon added.
