FRIDAY MORNING. AT THE IM RANCH.

"Oh god, Nayeon! Finally you came home! I miss you so much!" Mina threw herself upon her lover as soon as she entered Nayeon's office that Friday morning.

Nayeon had just arrived yesterday and now she's already back to work again. The CEO had been away for seventeen days, and it had become a pure torture for the Japanese cowgirl. It was only seventeen days, but it felt like seventeen months for Mina.

"I miss you so much, Nayeon! One more day and I'll be crazy without you!" Mina hugged Nayeon tightly and showered her with kisses.

Nayeon turned her face a bit, not wanting to be suffocated by Mina's embrace.

"Oh really? How much do you miss me?" She asked.

Mina thought for a moment, looking for an answer that would satisfy her lover.

"I miss you like the deserts miss the rain."

"Tck! You're cringy! Who taught you to speak like that? Must be Momo, huh?"

"No. No one taught me. I learned it myself." Mina smiled.

They spent several minutes kissing and hugging each other, then they released their hold, and stared at each other.

"I miss you so much, Nayeon." Mina whispered. She put her forehead on Nayeon's forehead. Their noses touched each other.

"Okay, tell me, which part of me do you miss?" asked Nayeon.

Mina thought for a moment. She found this to be the perfect time to flirt with her beloved girlfriend. She then spoke,

"I miss your face, I miss your body. I miss your eyes. I miss your nose. I miss your lips. And I miss your hair."

Mina kissed Nayeon's eyes and nose.

Nayeon chuckled a bit. Somehow she found Mina to be very cheesy. "What else do you miss about me?"

Mina thought for another moment, and she continued.

"I miss your bunny teeth. I miss your belly button, and your non-existent abs."

"W-What? Shut up, Mina!"

Mina ignored it and continued. "I miss the sound of your voice. I miss the way you look at me. I miss the taste of your lips. I miss the way you laugh. I miss the way you talk. I miss the way you walk."

Nayeon laughed. "Aren't you the one who has a cute way of walk?"

Mina smiled. "Mm-hm. I know. But I love your walk more."

She continued attacking Nayeon. "I miss your touch, I miss your kisses, and I miss your hugs."

Nayeon stared at Mina.

"Anything else do you miss?"

Mina smirked. "I miss your horse, I miss your house, I miss your car, your money, and your credit cards."

"Credit cards! What the heck, Mina! Hahaha!" Nayeon laughed wholeheartedly. And she rarely laughed like this before. How can this penguin be so cute and sweet and cheesy like this?

After a moment, Nayeon stopped laughing and pushed Mina away.

"Alright, let's stop this! I can't handle this anymore." She said while pushing Mina gently on her shoulders.

Mina stared at her. "Why? You don't like it? Don't you miss me too?"

"I like it, Mina. I like it." Nayeon smiled. "And I miss you too, really."

Mina pouted. ”The word 'really' at the end. It's like you're trying to convince yourself that you miss me.”

Nayeon laughed. Mina looked so cute, pouting like that. Nayeon then took something from under her desk.

"This one's for Seoyeon. And this one's for you." Nayeon handed two plastic bags. One big and one small.

"Eh? You bought me a gift too?" Mina asked in surprise. She didn't expect Nayeon to buy her a gift.

"Of course. I have two kids now. If I buy only one, the other kid will get jealous." Nayeon smirked.

Mina let out a laugh. "You're right. I will get jealous at Seoyeon if you do that." She paused for a moment. "Speaking about jealousy, I'm sure you're going to get jealous too if I tell you this."

"Why?" Nayeon frowned.

"I kiss and hug someone while you were away. And I felt while I was doing that."

Nayeon's eyes widened. She clenched her hand, ready to smack Mina.

"What? Mina! Who did you kiss!?"

Mina let out a playful smirk.

"My punching bag."

Nayeon blinked.

".... Oh."

They fell silent.

"Are you jealous?" Mina asked.

"Yeah, I'm jealous now. Can I punch that punching bag? When will you have a tournament again? This week? Or next week?"

"This week."

"Alright, I will come this week."

AT THE TOWN MAYOR'S OFFICE.

"Dongwon, you said Victoria is going to come today. Where is she?" Minsik asked his assistant. The two, as usual, were busy discussing about their campaign event and their strategy on how to win the mayoral election in the next few months.

Dongwon looked at his watch. It was eleven o'clock. "Hm. She said she'll be here before lunch break. Please wait for a moment, Minsik-ssi."

Dongwon took another document and gave it to Minsik.

"This is some more information about Hyunbin. This is his activity during his college year. He was a member of the student committee, and was appointed as chief editor for the college bulletin. He often wrote articles that opposed and questioned our political party. He then spent six years getting a master and doctoral degree in the United States, and spent another four years working as a public consultant there. His major is civil engineering and city planning, and he also knows a lot about law and policy making. And he has a good skill in speech and orations, which helps him gain a lot of supporters." Dongwon explained.

Minsik seemed to be very annoyed and irritated upon hearing that.

"Tck! He's still too young and inexperienced. There's no way he can beat me in the election. He's still two early twenty years to beat me."

"Yes, Minsik-ssi, he's still young and inexperienced. But he is smart and charismatic. His supporters are mostly from younger generations, around 20-30 years old."

"How about his family?"

"He married an American woman, but they divorced before he left the States and returned to South Korea."

"Does he have a kid?"

"No."

"Hm. So he's basically single and living alone in this town. Do you know if he has interest in a certain woman here?"

"I don't know, Minsik-ssi. I will ask our men to gather information about it." Dongwon said.

Minsik then thought for a moment.

"Tck. I'm losing a number of elite supporters because of Hyunbin. I only have Sheriff Lee, Mr. Kang, Jiyong, a few judges and attorneys, five ranch owners, hospital owner, and the Im Family. And I'm not really sure about the Ims. Nayeon and her sisters didn't seem to like me and support me a lot. Their mother likes me though. But the one who takes all the decisions in their family company is Nayeon. I need to get her on my side. She and her fiancé, and her cousin too." Minsik muttered.

"Oh, you haven't heard of it, Minsik-ssi? Nayeon has cancelled her engagement with Jaebum." Dongwon informed.

Minsik was surprised upon hearing that. "Really? I didn't know that. SungRyung didn't tell me anything about it. Why did Nayeon cancel her engagement?"

Dongwon shook his head. "No one knows. There's no information about it. But rumor has it, one of them cheated on the other."

"Hm. That's a shame. Jaebum is a nice young man. And he has also shown support for us." Minsik took a deep breath.

He then glanced at the clock again. "Where is Victoria? I have another agenda after lunch. Tck! Why is she so late?" Minsik then turned at the janitor who was busy doing her job, mopping the floor and collecting garbage from Minsik's room. "Hey, you, come here! Clean my table. I had spilled my coffee on the table today." Minsik ordered.

The janitor had her face hidden under a cap. She turned and looked at Minsik. She had been there inside the room for fifteen minutes, carrying out her task diligently while Minsik and Dongwon were having a conversation inside that room.
