Yejin and Momo arrived at the police station early in the morning. They came to visit Mina in jail.

Mina was taken to the visitation room where her mother and her cousin had been waiting. Upon seeing Mina in orange clothes and handcuffs, Yejin rushed to her and hugged her.

"Mina, my dear, are you okay?" Yejin asked.

"Yeah, I'm okay." Mina nodded.

"Mina, how did this happen to you?" Yejin said, staring at Mina.

Mina just let out a sigh. "I don't know. They found the jewelry inside my car. Jennie or Jaebum must have put it there while I was studying with Nayeon in the library. I was sure I had locked my car yesterday. Where is my car now?"

"The police sent it home." Momo said. "What should we do, Mina? You want me to come to Jennie and Jaebum and confront them and force them to tell the truth?"

Mina shook her head. "No. That's not gonna work. Go talk to Nayeon and Jeongyeon. They'll know what to do."

"Okay." Momo nodded.

Mina turned at Yejin. "How is my father? Is he okay?"

Yejin stared at Mina. "He's okay. But he kept asking about you last night, and this morning."

"Did you tell him that I'm in jail?"

"No, not yet. I will tell him today."

Mina looked like she was about to cry. "Please tell him I'm sorry. I should've listened to him when he told me not to go. Tell him I'll be home soon." Mina said, although she wasn't very sure of her words.

Yejin and Momo nodded.

"Eomma, how about my bail price? If it is too high, I will ask for Nayeon's help." Mina said.

Yejin replied, “We will talk to the sheriff tomorrow. Don't worry, we will do the best for you."

Mina felt a bit relieved.

"Thanks, Eomma. And please take care of my father while I'm away." Mina said.

The officer who guarded the visitation gave a warning, indicating the time had almost up. Yejin and Momo then left the police station and went back to their house.

In the afternoon, Mina received another visit from Chaeyoung, Sana, and Tzuyu. All of them were angry at Jennie and Jaebum. They were sure those two were behind this, but they didn't have a proof, and they didn't know how to find it. Chaeyoung proposed to sneak inside Jaebum's house again to find evidence. Tzuyu wanted to investigate it using the usual method she normally used as a police officer. While Momo wanted to search for the golds so that they could use it to bail Mina out of jail. Mina said she would talk to Nayeon and Jeongyeon about this and ask for their help.

MEANWHILE. AT THE IM MANSION.

SungRyung asked several questions to the butler, Taewoo, about how an outsider was able to get inside her room. SungRyung accused Taewoo of giving the key to Mina, but Taewoo denied it. Although he admitted there were times when he probably wasn't being careful when he kept it. Taewoo was quite friendly to Mina, and had been seen to interact with the Myoui girls in a warm and friendly manner, and therefore making SungRyung become suspicious of him. Taewoo also mentioned Jennie who had borrowed that key once when SungRyung and Nayeon left for Singapore. However, SungRyung said that she indeed had given Jennie permission for that, and she believed that Jennie would never steal something from her room. SungRyung still insisted with her conclusion that Mina was the one who stole her jewelry. Not wanting to let anyone enter her room without her permission again, SungRyung then decided to replace her key. A locksmith was called to their mansion, and he replaced the key and the lock with the new one.

Later that day, Nayeon came into her mother's room to have a talk with her.

"Eomma," Nayeon started. "I know you're really angry about the jewelry theft, but I must convince you that Mina isn't guilty. She's not a thief. I'm sure of that."

Her mother turned at her. "Nayeon! My jewelry was found inside her car! She even has a key to my room. What else do you need as a proof?"

"She's just being framed by someone," stated Nayeon.

Her mother showed a hint of disgust. "Who framed her? The maids? The butlers? Or your cousin Jennie? Or me? Now you're blaming your own family just to defend that girl? Oh my Lord, what is happening to this family? I don't understand you anymore!" SungRyung turned away from her daughter.

Nayeon could only let out a sigh. She racked her brain, trying to find a way to tame her mother's heart. Normally, she would go neck to neck with her mother whenever they disagreed on something. But Nayeon realized that method won't work anymore. Now she figured she had to find another way.

"Eomma, let's not make a big deal out of this. Five hundred million won is nothing to us. Let's find another solution. I will help you find the jewelry. And if we can't find it, I will buy you a new one if you want. Eomma, just withdraw the charge, please." Nayeon said, almost begging.

SungRyung stared at her daughter. Her eyes were cold and distant.

"No, Nayeon. This isn't only about the jewelry. This is about her behavior. She has brought too many troubles for our family. I have warned her several times, asking her to behave, but she didn't listen. Now she has to learn her lesson. She must pay for what she did."

"Eomma, I understand why you don't like her. She has made some mistakes in the past. But I am sure she's not a thief. All those bad things that you heard about her are just rumors."

SungRyung shook her head. "You're being blinded, Nayeon. Now it's just five hundred million won. Later she will steal and rob you much more than that. Stop acquainting yourself with her already! She's just a parasite!"

"...." Nayeon found herself startled. She felt her anger start crawling inside her. Hearing her mother calling Mina a parasite made Nayeon's blood boil. She would've barked out towards her mother in order to defend Mina, but somehow she managed to resist it.

Nayeon then took a deep breath to calm herself.

"Eomma, if I buy you more jewelry, twice or thrice as much, would you withdraw the charge?" Nayeon asked.

"No. Just like I said, this isn't about the jewelry, Nayeonie. This isn't about money. This is about her behavior. She needs to be punished. And even if you buy me everything, it will not make me withdraw my charge." SungRyung stated firmly.

Nayeon let out another sigh. She couldn't say anything anymore. She then walked out from her mother's room, back to her own room. She saw Jihyo waiting for her in front of her room.

Nayeon entered her room, and Jihyo followed.

"Nayeonie, what's going on? Why is Mina in jail? There's no way she would steal our mother's jewelry! What is really happening here?" Jihyo bombarded her elder sister with questions.

Nayeon replied, "I believe this is Jennie and Jaebum's scheme again. They probably had planned this for a long time. They knew Mina was going to visit our house every weekend, and they knew our mother wouldn't be home yesterday, so they planned this to send Mina to jail. Jennie probably had stolen Eomma's key and made a copy of it while we were in Singapore. But of course, Eomma chose to trust Jennie more than Mina. Eomma didn't even listen to what I say."

Jihyo shook her head in annoyance. "I can't believe our cousin did that to Mina. But you said the jewelry was found inside Mina's car. Then everything should be okay right? Can we ask Eomma to just withdraw the charge?"

Nayeon let out a sigh as she threw herself sitting on the bed. "I have tried to talk to her about it, but she insists on continuing with the charge.
