“Taeyeon, it's not what you think!” Baekhyun shouted as soon as Taeyeon ran away. He felt hurt, seeing Taeyeon running away from him like that, but it hurt him more when he saw the anger Taeyeon  has. “She heard us” Baekhyun heard Sunny said behind him. Glaring at everyone that was there, Baekhyun frowned and shook his head. 

“There were no rules against us falling for the mortal, you all know that” Baekhyun said and not hearing any response, Baekhyun turned his back and ran after Taeyeon leaving the three behind. “This is too much trouble” Sunny said and Leeteuk frowned. “What is she even doing here at this late hour?” Boa asked and Sunny frowned when she remembered leaving Taeyeon alone. “I left her earlier here, she said she's going to do some school works and I thought she had gone home by now” Sunny stated and Boa sighed. “Well, it already happened. Let's just wish she'll keep shut” Boa said and Leeteuk sighed. 

“Baekhyun will handle it” 

He lied. 

That's what all inside Taeyeon's mind as she walked through the dark and empty street, she felt like Baekhyun's just playing with her, she felt like everything was just a game for him. She felt like he's not serious at all, she felt like she was played. Immortality aside, she grew to like him but knowing that he hid things from her, Taeyeon starts to think that she doesn't matter to him at all. 

When does he even plan on telling her the truth? 

When does he even plan to reveal himself to her?

“Hey there” Taeyeon heard a voice said. “You're alone?” The guy asked and his friend nodded with him with sly smile on their faces as they held their bottles and motioned her to come closer using it. Taeyeon took a few steps back, her knees are shaking. “Hey, let's have some fun. You look sad” The latter added and Taeyeon's grip around her bag tightened, she turned and tried to run away but the men were too fast. They immediately got a hold of Taeyeon's arm and pull her back into a dark alley. 

“I told you we're going to have some fun” The man said pushing Taeyeon against the wall as the other got a hold of her collar. “Let's this, shall we?” The man asked with a smirk and even when Taeyeon wanted to scream, there was no voice coming out of . 

She closed her eyes, letting her tears fall. 

She knew it was the end of her but then she heard a grunt and saw one of the two guys lying unconsciously on the ground. “What the hell?” The man asked and since it was dark, he wasn't able to see do did it. Feeling the grip loosen around her, Taeyeon ran out of the alley but the man cut her wrist halfway and was about to drag her again back to the alley when Taeyeon saw him flew a few meters away behind her. Looking towards who did that, Taeyeon froze when she saw Baekhyun standing in front of her, his eyes still red. 
“What are you doing? Why are you here?” Taeyeon asked and was about to walk away when Baekhyun grabbed her wrist. “We need to talk” Baekhyun said and Taeyeon tried to free herself away from Baekhyun's grip, her eyes tearing up yet showing a lot of fear and anger. 

Seeing his reflection on a piece of glass, Baekhyun stepped back and let go of Taeyeon's wrist. Closing his eyes, Baekhyun took a few deep breaths and opened his eyes again only to see it back to it's normal color. “Taeyeon” He said and was about to take a step forward when Taeyeon backed away.

“Was I just a game for you?” Taeyeon asked and Baekhyun shook his head. “You were never a game to me. I'm sincere with Taeyeon, believe me” Baekhyun said and Taeyeon scoffed. “You were sincere? You're being sincere by hiding who you really are?” Taeyeon asked with so much pain in her voice and Baekhyun looked down, not wanting to look into her eyes. 

“I was afraid that you will run away from me” Baekhyun answered, finally lifting his head up again. “I'm not like that, I thought you know me?” Taeyeon asked and Baekhyun looked away, he felt guilt. “For the record I've thought about telling you everything” Baekhyun said and Taeyeon frowned. “You should have but it's too late. I lost my trust in you already, let's just forget everything and end it here” Taeyeon said and was about to walk away when Baekhyun fell on his knees. 

She stood there, surprised by him. 

“I know I lied, but please believe what I'm going to say now. I'm being sincere, I'm going to tell you everything if you want me to. Just please don't leave me” Baekhyun trailed before stopping, he let out a deep sigh. “Ask me anything and I'll gladly tell you the truth, just please.. don't leave me” Baekhyun  begged, his hands clenching on his knees. 

Taeyeon sighed. 

How can I not stay mad at you? She thought. 

“How can I make sure that you're going to tell me the truth?” Taeyeon asked and Baekhyun looked up, he found no words to say. It was too much from Taeyeon, but he's glad that she's giving a chance even when he lied to her. 

“I will tell you everything. Right now” Baekhyun said and Taeyeon was about to speak when they heard a grunt. Looking towards where the sound is coming from, Taeyeon's eyes widened when she saw the man from earlier moving again. 

“Let's go” Baekhyun said after he stood up and grabbed Taeyeon's hand before running away. 

Ending up in a nearby playground at the park, Taeyeon let go of Baekhyun's hand and stopped her pace as she tried to catch her breath. “Are you alright?” Baekhyun asked and Taeyeon looked up before nodding her head, seeing the reluctance she has, Baekhyun sighed. 

It was his fault after all. He knew that. 

“I'm sorry” He said and Taeyeon shook her head as she walked away. Looking to where she's going, Baekhyun sighed in relief when he saw her took a seat at the edge of the sandbox nearby. “I understand if--” 

“Tell me everything, I'm all ears” Taeyeon said cutting him off and Baekhyun nodded his head and took a seat beside her. “You heard earlier, I'm not the usual human type. I'm an immortal, I don't die easily and I've been living for hundreds of years now, my eyes turn red when I'm angry, my eyes turn blue when it's full moon. Leeteuk, he's asking me to stay away from you, it's not like he doesn't like you and it's not like there's a rule that we can't fall for mortals but he's afraid that I might cause you danger. I have a royal blood, and not all immortals have it. There's only the two of us in that bloodline and if I die, the legion will go down. My enemies had been hunting me, trying to hurt me and kill me so they can rule over us and the mortals and the only way they can do that is to get rid of the immortals who have the royal blood. Leeteuk's afraid that you might get involved because of me, but I can't help it. I just don't want to lose someone I love again” 

“Do you by chance.. heard about the girl in the school who died after receiving flowers from an unknown sender?” Taeyeon asked out of nowhere and Baekhyun flinched. It didn't go unnoticed to Taeyeon, she knew right at that moment that something is going on. 

“I know” Baekhyun answered. “It was real?” Taeyeon asked and Baekhyun nodded his head. 

“Truthfully, I.. fell in love with that girl but.. I didn't approached her and just tried to suppress what I feel for her inside. I thought I was doing good, trying to get a hold of myself and all but when I found out that someone killed her, it was like my world shut down. I thought.. that the sender of the those flowers was just another admirer of her. I never expected that it would be something more than that” Baekhyun said and Taeyeon furrowed her brows. 

“You don't know who did that to her?” Taeyeon asked and Baekhyun shook his head. 

“I got a guess” Baekhyun answered. “and I got rid of it” Baekhyun answered before standing up. 

“I got rid of the ones that were accused of killing her” Baekhyun answered, observing if Taeyeon will be scared of him or not and to his relief, there aren't any signs of her being afraid, nor being angry at him anymore. “You're not.. afraid aren't you?” Baekhyun asked wanting to clarify his thoughts and Taeyeon shook her head. 

“So I would be in danger if I'm going to be with you?” Taeyeon asked and Baekhyun, even when it's painful to do so nodded his head. 

“You're going to be in a complete in danger, but I'm going to make a vow” Baekhyun said and Taeyeon furrowed her brows. “What is it?” Taeyeon asked. 

“that I'm going to protect you with all my life” Baekhyun answered firmly and Taeyeon sighed, as much as she wanted to run away from him, she can't imagine herself without him anymore, screw the deal they made, she knew what she feels for him now. 

“Then I'm willing to take the risk with you”
