KRYSTAL’S POV:

I am Dr. Krystal Jung, my work is always my passion I guess it runs in the blood, my only sister and parents are doctors too. But we lost them to our early age that’s why I grew up to be so independent and so focused on my dreams. It was almost six months since we started this project but I guess it got out of hand. We thought that finally we could have the cure to this grave disease, the Ebola virus but we were wrong. At first we were so excited because tests were running excellent until we developed 'oblivion' and that’s where it all started. We made the oblivion so that it could be the key to forget or to wipe out  the existence of the Ebola virus which had killed millions of lives since it started spreading.

We believe that oblivion could weaken or terminate the virus permanently inside a human’s infected body, that was our mistake. As soon as our test subjects died, within minimum of six hours they came back alive but what’s worst was they started eating human flesh. We've lost two doctors in our team that day and what we didn’t know is one doctor from the team got beaten that’s where it all started. He got beaten and he killed his whole family when he turned. I thought we could contain the situation but they started eating their whole neighbourhood, the military immediately took the precaution and started confiscating the specimens that we had created but unexpected things really do happen.

One of the soldier accidentally broke the vial, from that moment we knew we created a new virus which could end the existence of humanity.   Those were exposed had symptoms of epistaxis (nose bleeding, dizziness and sensitivity to sound and light) it only took two hours until all those soldier who where tasked to secure the virus in a safer place all of them in just two hours started eating people alive, worst was they were in the city when they turned.

Unnie do you think someone heard us? “I don’t know Krys? Maybe someone will come to rescue us, the supposed to be cure is here with us remember?” she said calming my senses down. But unnie we still don’t know if this cure is really the cure, we don’t know if this oblivion that we recreated even works, look what we’ve done. Maybe she was right after all I shouldn’t have accepted this project and we could still fix our marriage I thought as I slumped my back on the wall “it’s not our fault Krys, we just follow orders” she said tapping my shoulders. 

She has a point, the US government wanted us to pursue this project, orders I mumbled between my breath. As I look into those CCTV, our colleagues, the whole facility is now swarming with zombies that’s what they call it right? I couldn’t believe it to myself but those people out there we used to work with them but now, we fear them. Dear god, I hope someone heard our call for help, thinking of the things what I’ve done in these past years maybe Amber was right all along.
