WooBin's POV

Another three days has gone.

I knew DaeSung has worked very hard to look for the boy but there was still no any sign of him.  I somehow did not know what I wished to prove.  To prove that the kid was not SeungHyun's son?  Or to prove that he was, then think about an action plan to handle the situation?

Mother seemed to be quite relax and didn't show a slightest concern about it.  EunHi came home for dinner tonight at Mother's order, though she was not 100% willing to.  At the dinner, Mother did not mention anything about Krystal nor SeungHyun.  We talked about the new projects our Group were working on.  We talked about new ideas on new investments in our hotels.  A supposed family dinner turned out to be a business one.

"Can you guys not talk about business at the dining table?  I want to have a family dinner with my daughter and grandkids.  Not business dinner with my partners." Grandfather complained since Mother and EunHi started to argue on some issues regarding the hotels.

Mother and EunHi zipped instantly and I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Why is SeungHyun not coming tonight?  Did you two have a fight or something?" Grandfather asked.

Mother and I immediately looked up and gazed at EunHi, waited for her reply.

EunHi glanced at us and said, "You didn't tell me to bring him."

"Ha...  I didn't know I have to ask.  And I thought he would tag along." Grandfather said.

"Well, you said it's a family dinner."

Her words surprised us all.  We all looked at her with opened mouth, yet none of us knew what to say.  She looked at us and asked, "What?"

No one spoke.

"What?" EunHi repeated.

I glanced at Mother and she slightly raised her eyebrow and signaled me to say something.  I blinked a few times and asked, "Isn't SeungHyun family?"

EunHi answered without thinking, "Not really.  We are not married yet."

"But you are engaged." I said.

"Well, yes I am engaged but not yet married.  So, technically we are not family YET.  You haven't brought Dara either."

"That's not the same."

"What's not the same?  Are you telling me you are not going to marry her?" EunHi asked as she looked at me with eyes wide-opened.

"That is NOT what I meant."

"Then what's not the same?  Just because you still haven't put a ring on her finger yet?  Well, you should though." EunHi has successfully diverted the attention to me.

Grandfather put his chopsticks down and asked with a serious face, "Yes.  EunHi is right.  Why haven't you asked Dara to marry you yet?  What are you waiting for?  You are not having second thoughts, are you?"

"Second thoughts?" EunHi raised her voice a little.  My little sister put up this little act to side-track everyone from asking her about SeungHyun.

I shook my head with a chuckle, "I do not have any second thought."

"Then why?" I was a little shock since it was Mother who asked.

I looked up at her to find her looked at me too.  I inhaled deeply and said, "Well, I thought...  EunHi's wedding is on the way, so..."

"Oh brother, don't use me as an excuse." EunHi cut in immediately.

"EunHi is right.  That's not an excuse.  Just propose to her and the wedding can be held anytime you want." Mother said.

It was the first time she spoke to me like a REAL mother.  Except things about EunHi, we only talked when it was necessary and it would all because of business.  She never cared about anything happened to me.  My health, my education, my social life, my interests.  She was not interested in any of them my whole life.  Yet, she commented on my marriage, like a mother.  I was a little overwhelmed that I somehow did not know how to respond.

"Well, it does seem you are having second thoughts." Mother threw me another glance as she said.

"No!  I do not."

"Then, why?" She asked again.

"No specific reason." I said.  I seriously do not have any second thoughts.  I wanted to marry Dara and build a small happy family on our own since that was all I wanted since I was a little boy.  But before I could do that, I had to make sure there was someone I could trust my little sister to and that she would be in good hands.  This was my promise to my father.  My obligation to the family.

EunHi let out a heavy sigh and asked, "It's because of me, right?"

I looked at her and said, "No!"

"Liar!"

"No!"

"YES!  Are you going to stay single if I told you I would not get married at all?" EunHi asked.  Her words shocked everyone at the table.

"WHAT?" Both Mother and Grandfather shouted.

EunHi laughed, "I am saying IF.  No need to overreact."

"Girl, I almost had a heart attack!" Grandfather said with his brows drawn together.

She giggled, "Sorry, grandpa!  Didn't mean to scare you."

Mother threw her a quick glare and turned to me, "What does EunHi mean?  You are not proposing to Dara since EunHi is not married yet?  Why?"

"Arhh...  Well..." I did not know what to say.

"Oppa promised Dad that he would take care of me.  Oppa will never get married unless he knows I'm in good hands.  Am I correct?" EunHi said.

I looked at my smart sister and couldn't help but smile.

"Smile?  I didn't guess that right to get praised.  Don't let me be a burden to you, Oppa!  I can take care of myself.  I have proved to you that I could do that all these years living in Paris, didn't I?"

I patted on her head and said, "Living in Paris alone, avoiding your family is not taking good care of yourself, my little sister!"

She looked me in the eyes with tears filled in hers.  I slightly pinched her on the cheek and smiled.

"You have done what you could do to take care of your sister.  You don't owe her or us anything.  You should think about yourself more.  If you want to marry Dara, go ahead.  Don't waste time.  Don't waste her time.  Your father won't want to see you do this for the family."  Mother said.

EunHi and I looked up at her and we both had tears in our eyes.  The very very first time Mother said something like that to me.  Her tone filled with understanding and her words filled with care.  It was like she was another person.  Like my real mother.

"Why are you two looking at me like that?" Mother looked away and had her chin up a little, pretended nothing happened.

"Mom!" EunHi said as tears fell down her cheeks.

I inhaled deeply to hold my tears and said softly, "Thank you, Mother!"

"Thank me?  For what?  What did I do?  What did I say?" She put her napkin on the table and said to Grandfather, "Excuse me, Father."  She left the dining room after she finished.

Grandfather laughed, "Your mother is shy about being worried about you.  Haha...  This is the first time, huh?  An historical moment.  Hahaha..."

EunHi giggled, "Mom can hear you, grandpa!"

"So what?  I'm her father.  What can she say about it?" Grandfather laughed even louder.

EunHi turned to me and asked, "Oppa, are you alright?"

I slightly nodded my head.

"How will he be alright?  All these years, your mother hasn't said anything like that to him.  Those few words mean a lot more than the words themselves."

Just when I was still absorbing the overwhelming emotions, my phone buzzed.  I glanced at the screen and it was an incoming text from DaeSung.

"DaeSung Oppa?" EunHi asked, peeking on the screen of my phone, "Why is my secretary texting you at this hour?  You asked him to do something behind my back again?  Since when DaeSung Oppa is everyone's spy."

I flipped my phone upside down to hide the screen, "Who else asked DaeSung to spy on you?"

"Choi Seung Hyun!" She said with a little sweet smile on her face.  It was so good to see that smile on her again.

I smiled as I brushed her cheek, "Grandfather, will you excuse me?  I need to make an urgent phone call."

"Mmm..." Grandfather smiled as he waved his hand.

I grabbed my phone from the table and kissed my little sister on the top of her head, "Wait for me, lil sis!  I'll take you back to the hotel later."

"It's OK.  I can take a taxi."

"No.  I'll take you.  Keep Grandfather company and I'll be back in 15 minutes."

I immediately called DaeSung as I walked upstairs to my room.

"DaeSung?  What is it?" I said.

"Sajang Nim, we found the kid." DaeSung said with high spirit.

"Where is he?  Did you get a sample?  When will the report be ready?  How does he look like?  Any picture?" I fired at him a list of questions yet forgot to give him any chance to reply.

"HYEONG!"

I stopped and took a deep breath, "Yes.  You speak."

"Actually, we found him two days ago..."

"TWO DAYS?  And you haven't told me about it?" I shouted at the phone.  I didn't use to shout at anybody on the phone but recently I shouted at DaeSung on the phone a lot because of this Krystal issue.

"I have the report with me.  Shall I bring it to you now?" DaeSung asked.

"No.  EunHi is here.  I'm taking EunHi back to the hotel.  Meet me there."

"Yes, Sajang Nim."

Hilary's POV

WooBin drove me back to the hotel.  He looked a little serious after his phone call.  I wondered what that was about.

"Something happened?" I asked.

WooBin looked sideways at me and focused back to the road, "No."

"My brother is hiding something.  I can tell."

He chuckled, "No, I'm not."

The more he tried to deny it, the more I knew I was right.  I took out my phone and made a call, "Kang Siljang?"

I could sense that WooBin looked at me instantly when I said DaeSung's name.

"I'm coming back to the hotel.  Meet me there." I hung up after I finished and put my phone away.

"Why do you want to meet DaeSung at this hour?  Let the poor guy rest." WooBin said.

"Since when you are so concerned about DaeSung's staff welfare?  I thought you were the one who calls him in the middle of the nights."

He gulped, "Well, I have my reasons..."

"Well, I have my reason too."

WooBin stopped the car at the main entrance.  DaeSung was already there waiting for us.  I knew they were to meet.  I got off the car and said to DaeSung, "Kang Siljang, I didn't know you were still in the hotel at this hour."

"I was just leaving when you called." DaeSung said as he slightly glanced at WooBin.

"Kang Siljang?"

"Yes, Kim Isa Nim."

I gave out my hand to him.

"Hmm?" DaeSung fidgeted a little and exchanged a look with WooBin.

"Whatever you are about to give to my brother.  You can give it to me!" I said in a flat tone.

"EunHi!" WooBin said.

I let out a sigh, "Let's talk in my room."  I waved at the valet, "Take care of the car, will you?"

The valet bowed and took the key from WooBin.

I glanced at them both and said, "Let's go!"

WooBin's POV

DaeSung and I followed EunHi back to her room.  I really had no idea how she found out.  DaeSung and I exchanged a few looks and both struggled for ways to get out of this.

"Don't bother to think of brushing me off.  You two are not getting away with this one." EunHi said, as if she could actually see us with the back of her head.

DaeSung elbowed me on the ribs and slightly drew his brows together.  I shrugged.

Elevator arrived at 38th floor.  Doors opened and we followed EunHi from behind down the hallway.

DaeSung took out the report from his inner pocket of the jacket and tried to stuff it in my hand.

"Kang Siljang Nim, you can hand that to me when we are inside." EunHi said as she opened the door with the key card.

I threw DaeSung a sharp glare before I walked in to the room.  DaeSung quickly stuffed the report back into his pocket.

EunHi threw her Chanel on the sofa and kicked off her heels, "Have a seat!  Want anything to drink?"

"No.  It's OK." I said as I sat down on the sofa.

DaeSung stood beside me and dared not to speak.

"Kang Siljang Nim?  You want anything to drink?"

"No, thank you."

EunHi got herself a bottle of water and sat down on the one-seater, "Sit down, DaeSung Oppa."
