SeungHyun's POV

We stood in front of the double door of the grand ballroom.

"Ready?"  Hilary held onto my arm tight and asked.

"Umm..."  I slightly nodded with a smile.

She took a deep breath and gave WooBin's assistant a nod to signal him to open the door for us.  Right at the same second the door opened, Hilary put up a diplomatic smile and walked into the ballroom with her arm around mine.

Our entrance somehow made everyone turned their head.  Hilary had her head up high and eyes straight to the front.  The assistant followed us beside Hilary and said, "Hwajang Nim is waiting for you in the front."

She slightly nodded her head and said softly, "You can leave us!"

"Yes, Miss Kim."

Hilary was the invisible granddaughter SeungRi was talking about the other day.  She was Kim WooBin's sister.  I turned my head to look at her and she returned me with a smile.

We were finally there at the head table.  My parents and SeungRi were there beside Mrs. Kim.  SeungRi looked at me with his eyes wide-opened.

"Happy Birthday, Hwaejang Nim!"  Hilary slid her arm off mine and stepped forward to hug Jang Hwaejang.  Jang Hwaejang whispered something to her with a straight face.  But Hilary said with a smile, "Sorry that I'm late.  Got a little hung up!"

I could see that Mrs. Kim was not too happy about this at all.  Jang Hwaejang put up a smile and said to everyone, "Everyone, meet my granddaughter.  Kim EunHi!"

Hilary nodded her head to everyone with a slight smile as she stepped back to my side.

Just when Hilary slid her arm around mine again, Jang Hwaejang asked with a big smile, "SeungHyun, you two know each other already?"  He seemed happy to see me with his granddaughter.

Hilary immediately looked up at me with wide-eyes.  I smiled and bowed my head to Jang Hwaejang, "Happy Birthday, Jang Hwaejang Nim!"

I glanced at Hilary and found the smile on her face already faded away.  She slowly pulled away her arm and looked away.  I hesitated and replied, "We met a couple times."

Hilary lowered her head and let out a quiet sigh.

WooBin came forward and said, "Grandfather, let's be seated.  Dinner is about to be served."  He held onto to Jang Hwaejang's arm and helped him get to his seat.  Before Jang Hwaejang walked away, he said to Hilary, "You come sit beside me."

Hilary sighed again and followed him.  I grabbed her by her hand and said, "Hilary."

She slowly turned around and asked softly, "Who are you?"

"Choi SeungHyun."

"I mean, WHO are you?" She drew her brows together a little and asked.

I said, "My father is Choi MinHyuk.  Chairman of T.O.P Corporation."

"You should have told me."  She looked me in the eyes as she said.

"You haven't told me you are Jang Hwaejang's granddaughter either." I said and still hung onto her hand.

She chuckled and pulled away her hand, "If I knew, I wouldn't have come with you tonight."

"Why?  What is the difference?"

"EunHi?"  WooBin called out for her from behind.

She gave me one last glance and said softly with a nod, "Sorry for taking up your time.  Have a good night!"

I watched her turned around and walked away.

"Hyeong, our table is over there." SeungRi patted me on my shoulder.

I glanced at Hilary one more time and walked to my table with SeungRi.

"Hyeong, why didn't you tell me the girl at Kiko's party is Jang Hwaejang's granddaughter?" SeungRi leaned close to me and asked with a smirk.

"I didn't know until just now." I said softly.

My father asked, "I didn't know you know Jang Hwaejang's granddaughter already."

I looked up at him and said, "I didn't know she's Jang Hwaejang's granddaugther.  We only met a couple times before."

"Then how come you came with her tonight?  Arm in arm."  My father smirked.

I let out a soft sigh and didn't answer him.  I looked up to Hilary's table.  Our eyes met at one point but she casually looked away.  I wondered why her attitude towards me flipped 180 degrees all of a sudden.

JiYong's POV

"Brother, that's the girl at Kiko's party, right?  Hilary?" CL asked me softly.

I nodded my head while my eyes were fixed on Hilary who sat a couple tables away.

"That's why she shone among all the girls.  Her aura.  The way she looks, talks, walks.  She is no ordinary girl."  CL was right.  Hilary did have an aura around her.  She really was different from all those girls I dated.

CL elbowed me at the rib and smirked, "Kwon JiYong's predator fangs are showing!"

"SHUT UP!"  I threw her a quick glance and sipped the water.

CL laughed softly and leaned close to me, "Is the famous playboy in town blushing?"

"Kwon ChaeRin!"

She chuckled, "But it seems to me that SeungHyun Oppa is winning by 1 point in the first round."

I threw her another sharp glare and she raised her eyebrows, "OK!  OK!  Zipped!"

I glanced at SeungHyun Hyeong who sat at the table on my right and found him stared at Hilary.  I wondered what was the deal between them.

Hilary's POV

I was a little shocked when I realized my grandfather and mother knew SeungHyun.  I wouldn't deny that I came with him since I thought he would come in handy if I had to stand against my grandfather and mother at some point somehow.  He could act as my boyfriend if my mother planned to hook me up with someone's son.  Or he could take me away if I couldn't stay any second longer.  But I never thought he was someone INSIDE the circle as well.  My plan somehow fired back at myself and I would have to live with the consequences that might come later.

I didn't have any appetite at all.  I wanted so much to leave since my grandfather kept bragging about me to his guests at our table.  It was like I was a new launching product of our Group.  I was also worried that he would somehow tell everyone about his grand plan.

"Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen!  Let's give a big hand to Jang Hwaejang and welcome him on stage to give us a few words."  The MC said.

WooBin Oppa stood up and stepped to grandfather's side to help him to stand up.  But grandfather pushed his hand away and said to me, "You go with me."

"No."  I said without hesitation.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me up with a firm grip.  I glanced at Oppa and he nodded his head with a smile.

I whispered to him as I stood up, "What is this?"  Oppa just smiled and patted on my shoulder.

I took a deep breath and walked along side with my grandfather to the stage.  I held my step in front of the stage and stood at the side.  Grandfather whispered something to DaeSung and he came to my side, "Hwaejang Nim wants you to go onto the stage."

"No."  I said.  DaeSung grabbed my arm and pushed me forward.  I swung him off and said, "Oppa."

"Please."  DaeSung looked me in the eyes and said.  I let out a heavy sigh and stepped on the stage.

"Good evening, everyone!  Thank you for coming tonight.  I'm really happy to see all of you.  It's really an honour to see so many distinguished guests, all new and old friends of mine, came to celebrate my 80th birthday.  It's so good to have you all here today.  Another happy thing that worth celebrating is that my granddaughter is back from Paris.  Kim EunHi."

I glanced at him and he smiled to me.  I put a diplomatic smile and bowed my head to everyone.

Grandfather grabbed my hand and pulled me close to him as he said, "Isn't my granddaughter a beauty?"

"Grandpa!"

He smirked.  The guests laughed a little.  It was the most embarrassing moment I ever had in my life so far.  I took a deep breath to calm myself and keep that fake smile on my face.
