Chapter 43

[Hyunmi’s POV]

Leeteuk Oppa’s eyes pierced through my own orbs, almost drowning me in his own fury. Lying under the fury was a hint of worriedness and some hurt feelings. I bit my lip, feeling as if Leeteuk Oppa was going to see through me any moment now.

I opened my mouth, but nothing would come out of it. And so, I closed them once more, smacking my lips together, letting out a ‘hiss’ sound out of anxiety.

“Park Hyunmi.”

I flinched at the harsh and dark tone of Leeteuk Oppa. Nervous, my fingers started rubbing against my palm, opening and closing my hand time and over again. The wheels in my brain were turning furiously but I couldn’t think of anything that will make Oppa believe that I ‘accidentally’ hurt myself.

“I-I-I I h-h-hit into the… cupboard! Hard!” I stuttered at the front then shouted slightly, trying my best to make Leeteuk Oppa believe me.

“Hyunmi ah, how’s your stomach? Is it okay?”

Crap.

Just as soon as I finished my words, Nickkhun Oppa came over and asked me how I was. Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Leeteuk Oppa’s eyebrows furrowing.

Definitely not a good sign.

“You knew that she hurt her stomach?” Leeteuk Oppa asked, turning his attention from me to Nickkhun Oppa.

“Um.. Right! Nickkhun Oppa was th-“

“Park Hyunmi, keep your mouth shut. I asked Nickkhun, not you.”

Before I could even complete my lie, Leeteuk Oppa shushed me without even looking at me. The whole kitchen fell into silence. All eyes were Leeteuk and Nickkhun Oppa, wanting to find out the truth.

I stared at Nickkhun Oppa when he glanced at me, pleading me with my eyes for him to not tell Leeteuk Oppa the truth. Three seconds passed before he let out a sigh and turned his sight of vision back to Leeteuk Oppa.

“She-“
