Chapter 36

[No One’s POV]

Leaving the heartbreaking scene, Hyunmi made her way back to her room, three doors away while trying to calm herself down.

But, obviously it wasn’t going to be done anytime soon since Lady Luck is nowhere near Hyunmi today.

As she neared her own room, she overheard a conservation coming from Nickhun’s slightly ajar door.

She wouldn’t have cared about it, but her feet and heart stopped when she heard her name.

 “-Hyunmi?”

Hearing her name in a doubting tone almost had her answering the caller, but it didn’t last long as the caller continued speaking.

“Aniya, Victoria ah, you know I like you the most. I don’t even like Hyunmi at all. It’s all a misunderstanding. I was just kidding during the Truth or Dare Game. All the Hyungs are there, you don’t want to see your Nampyeon get hurt right? Hmm? Yeobo~”

As the caller spoke, Hyunmi recognized the voice to be Nickhun’s. Realization hit her as she realized who he was speaking to. His virtual wife, Victoria of F(x).

As Nickhun’s aegyo filled voice continued talking to Victoria, Hyunmi’s heart only broke more and more.

It was all a lie once again. Everything had always been a lie. Jiyong Oppa’s kiss was a lie to lead me on, Nickhun Oppa’s answer was a lie to bluff all my Oppas. I had been a fool again, to trust people. Park Hyunmi, why are you so stupid? I’m such an idiot.

Tears fell as Hyunmi finally made it back to her room. She lay against the close door and sank down as reality hit her once more.

She was betrayed yet again by her best friend. A guy she thought had liked her for who she was was actually just lying about it.

She had been used once more.

She had been an idiot again.

What she had believed in was again a lie.

What she had thought was something turns out to be nothing.

What she had been so happy about turns into one of her worst nightmare.

‘Park Hyunmi, why are you such an idiot?’

Hyunmi’s question was only answered by the still air around her, reminding her of the fact that she was alone again.
