Chapter 57. What Love 'Sounds' Like

When consciousness crawled through him, Yonghwa stretched easily feeling the muscles in his body but seemingly conscious to be careful in his movements. The moment he opened his eyes, he smiled seeing his little sunshine still asleep with her heavy breathes looking so peaceful. He resisted the urge to plant a kiss afraid that he might wake her so he just laid his big pillows around her before leaving the bed.

Yonghwa stepped out of the adjacent master bath and it was only then that he noticed the subtle hint of a shadow moving in the nursery. He smiled knowing it was Seohyun and he was right. Grinning, he leaned on the doorjamb and gave off a rather dramatic but soft cough to get her attention.

She turned to him just as he straightened that he gave her a playful smirk. He chuckled quietly after she gave him that eye-roll and ignored him completely going back to her mommy duties. “Good morning,” he decided to speak and saunter the room facing her but she only turned away.

“Morning,” she replied softly.

He grinned watching her move about until he stepped closer and held her elbow so she’d face him. And when she did, Yonghwa caught that surprise on her expression when she realized that she almost crushed on his chest. Her hands raised blocking him until they fell on her sides when he shifted an inch back but his eyes lingered through her. Yonghwa caressed her with his gaze remembering the taste of her last night. Almost unconsciously, he tucked some strands of hair behind her ear and once he realized what he just did, he spoke softly, “Seohyun-ssi…”

“W-what—”

Before she could continue, Yonghwa placed a finger on her lips and drawled, “So, did you like how it tasted?” He grinned slightly noticing the way her palms were planted lightly on his chest. His finger also withdrawing from her lips.

Seohyun frowned then raised a brow as she snapped, “I never liked alcohol.”

He couldn’t help but laugh realizing that she was trying to evade how she managed to taste the whiskey he was drinking so he replied with that little smirk on the corner of her lips, “I didn’t mean the whiskey, Seohyun-ssi.”

Yonghwa watched her as she seemed to compose herself and accept the inevitable. Her gaze also lowered so he tucked a finger under her chin to let her look at him again as he asked softly, almost begging for an answer, “So, did you?”

“You’re teasing,” Seohyun managed to say almost whiningly and hit his chest lightly when he laughed.

Yonghwa tilted his head and grinned softly following her gaze that was slowly dropping down again. He sighed and kissed her forehead when he could no longer stop himself then whispered softly, “I’m sorry… you make it so easy…”

Seohyun’s fist landed on his chest again but light enough not to hurt him. And before another one could land, he caught her wrist and spoke, “What if I’m not?”

“How about you though?” She asked as she looked back at him with that challenging stare.

A smile curved on his lips, “If I liked the kiss?”

Yonghwa watched the way her lips got caught in her teeth as if she was trying not to smile— or rather, preparing herself to get kissed once more. But instead of giving her a direct answer, he answered glumly, “I’m not sure.”

The reaction he was expecting came quick with those drawn eyebrows but before she could snap at him, he gently pushed her towards the dresser that, to her surprise, her hands flew behind her. And it was all too easy for him as he caught her waist with both hands until he placed one behind her to bring her closer. Gently, he tilted his head to meet her lips and spoke, “Let me have another taste… then, I’ll tell you…”

Yonghwa nipped at her bottom lip then leaned forward when she gradually opened for him that he easily slid his tongue inside teasing her a little. And she responded with her little moan gliding her tongue with his. He pulled her close, hands moving to cup her jaws like there was no way she was going to escape from this. He bit her lower lip gently, on them and let his tongue play with hers. Seohyun’s hands found their way on hair and her fingers raked all over his hair.

If last night’s kiss was almost experimental and tentative, this one was rough, raw and demanding. His hand shifted, lifting her thigh and tucking her leg on his hip. Seohyun gasped when his lips traced wet kisses on the corner of her jaw, nipping at her earlobe, then travelled back down on the lengths of her neck. She held on to him for support, his body pushing harder against her like he couldn’t get close enough.

He could feel his blood rushing through him and but he allowed himself to grow this way and let her know how his boy was reacting to her. And gasped as she guided his mouth back to hers and they kissed once more, letting every contact linger and each taste savored.

Until a piercing cry brought them both back to reality. Seohyun pulled away but he still managed to catch a few kisses on her lips until she groaned, “Euna…”

“Hmmmm….” He moaned as he the side on her neck but felt her hands pushing him.

“Ammaaaahhh!!!”

Yonghwa pulled away and chuckled looking at her, “Go…”

Seohyun shook her head lightly but she was smiling as she moved towards the door and calling back to their obviously very angry daughter, “Euna, we’re here…”

She gasped and rushed to the bed once she caught sight of Euna pushing her chubby limbs closer to the edge of the bed. Scooping her up, she kissed her cheek, “Aigoo, how did you get there too fast? You almost fell, Euna.”

Yonghwa emerged from the room and retorted, “We can’t leave her alone in this bed anymore.”

“Uh-huh,” Seohyun nodded as she checked the baby’s diaper then started massaging her limbs.

He gently dropped on his stomach on the bed near the little one that she turned to him with her gummy giggles, “Good morning, Euna-yang. Did you have a good sleep?”

As a reply, Euna put her fist in and made a gargling sound and with her eyebrows raising.

“Really?” Yonghwa cooed back, “You dreamed that Umma kissed Appa?”

Seohyun lightly hit him but she was laughed softly then countered, “It’s not how I remembered it…”

But he ignored that and maintained his attention on Euna, “Oh, you mean last night? Not this morning? Hmmm, well, yeah. She did kiss me last night.”

Euna squealed when her umma tickled her tummy and kissed her cheek. Then Seohyun gave him a small glare and muttered, “Euna, tell your appa to get his shower before umma gets annoyed.”

Laughing softly, Yonghwa bent down and kissed Euna’s cheek, the same side that her umma just did then smirked, “We don’t want to annoy umma. Not this time, anyway…” He winked at her before getting off the bed and heading to the restroom.

The warm water sluiced on his body soaking him completely. Putting one hand on the wall, he breathed heavily against the fog that surrounded him. He was still in awe with how her kiss made him feel that he was almost edgy with figuring ou
