Chapter 131. Sleep Over

Seohyun woke up to a groaning beside her. Smiling, she reached out a hand behind her and tapped whatever body part she could reach, which felt like his hip, “You’re awake?” The only reply she got was an arm on her waist pulling her, spooning behind her while the coldness of the room was slowly making her melt back to sleep. But she pulled herself away from the temptation of just cuddling in bed with him considering that their baby would be awake in just about that time.

Yawning, she scooted to the edge of the bed to free herself from his heavy grip thinking that he was still really asleep hearing his soft groans. However, she giggled when he grunted trying to catch her so she turned to him and saw those sleepy eyes peering at her.

“Come on, stay a little bit longer…” he gave her a lazy grin with fingers grasping on the hems of her sleeping dress.

“Hmmm…” she her lips shaking her head, “I’d love too, really, Oppa. But she’s about to wake up.”

He groaned again closing his eyes then smiled, “Thanks for last night…”

Seohyun laughed, finally sitting up then grinned pushing her hair to the side as she leaned and met his kiss. “No, thank you. It was nice,” she added with a wink that had him laughing back.

Nothing really happened that night, only that she decided to sleep beside him after he was able to put their baby to bed without much effort. They went back to the apartment in the city before dinner ending their weekend at the lake house. She could tell that even Euna enjoyed their little trip down memory lane. That experience made her realize how much she missed life in the lake house with them. But life closer to the city seemed practical and convenient so she was a little bit torn.

She sneaked out of the bedroom with a smile on her face seeing that he had fallen back to sleep in that few minutes she spent in the bathroom. Once she reached the baby room, she smiled seeing Euna already up or most precisely, down on her belly flapping on the floor trying to reach her pacifier.

“Good morning,” she greeted as she sauntered the room picking up toys until she reached her baby, “Aigoo, we didn’t tidy up your room last night…”

Hearing her voice, Euna half-whimpered and half-giggled as she shifted her body towards her moving as quickly as she could. Seohyun sat on the floor with hands beckoning for her, “Come here, puppy.” She laughed when her baby gave up half-way and started crying louder. Instead of taking her, she laid on the matted floor with her head directly on her baby’s face. This was enough to comfort her that she rubbed her face against hers.

“Did you have a good dream?” Seohyun asked as she rubbed her back and her baby gave her soft mewls as an answer. She laughed when Euna lifted her face and looked at her with her big sleepy eyes and started babbling a string of consonants and vowels until she managed to pronounce ‘Appa’.

Giggling, she gently pushed the soft fringes that were falling on her baby’s forehead, “Ne, Appa is still here. In fact, he’s still sleeping in the other room.” She cooed back once more making her smiled, “I know, I think he was waiting for the invitation last night. Do you think we should just tell him to live here with us?”

Euna giggled rubbing her fist on her eyes. She laughed, “You think so too? Yeah, I think it would be nice.”

“Morning,” Yonghwa greeted between a yawn then scratched his head as he continued, “You two girls talking about the handsome boy in the room?”

“Who? Where?” She asked playfully smiling at his contagious laughter as he entered the room. Euna looked up already giggling at her appa before stretching her arms out to him.

She giggled excitedly when her appa sat beside them and took her from her umma’s chest. Yonghwa sat her on his lap taking her hands and shaking them gently, “How was your sleep, Euna-yang?” Euna shifted to face him and gave him a hug laying her head on his shoulder, “Oh, you missed us? Did you notice that Umma didn’t sleep beside you?”

Hearing that familiar word, she turned to her mom still stretched on the floor, “Mmmmaaa… mammmmaa...”

“Ne,” Yonghwa nodded when she looked back at him, “But you were a good girl and slept through the night without Umma.”

“No, she didn’t,” Seohyun countered with a giggle as she touched the baby’s chubby foot, “I woke up twice, to feed her and change her diapers.”

He laughed, “So I was the once who slept through the night.”

“Exactly,” she nodded sitting up and her daughter automatically reached out for her. She leaned and kiss her baby’s forehead, “Can Umma make breakfast first?”

Euna whimpered when she stood so her appa stood hugging her, “I’ll make breakfast, Umma. And it’s not because I don’t want to hold you, Euna.”

Seohyun laughed as she walked towards the kitchen with them following behind her. It was then that she remembered what she needed to do so she turned to him taking Euna. “So, Appa, Euna and I were talking…” he chuckled but she ignored him, “We thought it would be better if you come live with us here—”

She looked up to him and saw that surprised look on his face. “Oppa, why do you look so surprised?” She asked flatly making him smile.

“Ani…” he grinned shaking his head, “I just didn’t expect you’d even suggest that.”
