After Saeri left, Jungah heaved a sigh of relief and slouched her shoulders, her hand over her heart.

Jinyoung grabbed onto her and helped her to the sofa.

"Are you okay?" He asked and knelt down beside Jungah.

"I'm fine."

He placed his hand on her knee and she put hers on his.

"I never knew. All these while, she was acting like this because she was feeling inferior."

"Are you feeling sorry for her? She-"

"There's no point being upset over her anymore, I understand now."

Jinyoung smiled and sat down beside her.

"Don't worry, she'll be away from us."

Jungah nodded and looked at him before narrowing her eyes.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"A pretty girl threw herself at you and even kissed you twice. You must be elated." She teased, pinching his ear playfully.

"Hey, I wasn't!"

"Don't deny it. My mom used to say all men are the same."

He removed her hand from his ear and gently held it in his hands.

"You saw it yourself! She was the one who kissed me." Jinyoung pouted. "I got a shock too, but I pushed her away immediately..."

Jungah withdrew her hand from his and turned away. She nudged him at his side as he placed his arm around her.

"Had I not been around, would you have pushed her away?"

"Trust me, I harbour no ill thoughts towards Saeri."

He then held three fingers up.

Jungah chuckled and reached for his hand. She interlocked her fingers with his.

He grinned and caressed the back of her hand with his thumb.

She sighed and he looked worriedly at her.

"What's the matter again?"

"Are you jealous?" Jinyoung asked, a playful smirk painting on his facial features.

"Me? Jealous? Why would I be?" She answered, baffled at his assumption.
