Jun Hye's POV

I woke up to the sun shining brightly through the window.

What time is it?

I looked at the clock; 6:10 A.M.

I was suppose to be at SM at 9 so I have 3 hours to spare. I wonder if Jonghyun had a good night's sleep. I looked down at the floor but he wasn’t there. Did he go to the bathroom? Who cares? I was about to fall back asleep when I felt a pair of hands go around my waist.

WHAT. THE. HELL.

I turned around and Jonghyun’s face was centimeters away from mine. I had to cover my mouth to prevent myself from screaming. What was he doing there?! I was about to yell at him but then I saw his peaceful face. Who could wake him up? I’ll let it slide this time. I stared at his face actually looking at it this time, he was REALLY handsome. Those cheekbones and jawline are no joke.

"Jun Hye…"

Did he just say my name? I got out of bed kind of creeped out. I quietly changed into a pair of running shorts and a t-shirt. Might as well go for a morning jog around the neighborhood. When I walked out of his room, I noticed a broken guitar next to the door. He could play the guitar? Why was it broken? I took a closer look at it. Yamaha? The guitar had a neat cherry blossom design on the neck of the guitar. It was really pretty. I went into the kitchen to make them breakfast. As a thank you for letting me stay with them. I opened the refrigerator to find nothing but take-out boxes and frozen dinners. Don’t they ever cook? I rummaged through the fridge and found eggs and sausages. I made the rice and cooked the eggs and sausages for them and set the table up.

"It smells really good."

I jumped at the sound. I turned around and Key was there staring at me.

"Oh! Good morning, Key ssi," I said bowing at him.

He chuckled, "Just call me Key oppa."

"Okay, Key oppa. Why are you up so early?"

"I always get up at this time to take a little jog around the neighborhood. Why are you up so early?" he said coming closer to me.

"I was going out for a run," I told him.

"Really? Want to go running together then?" he offered.

"Sure!" I covered the food with plates and grabbed my Nike free-runs and slipped them on. Key grabbed his running shoes from the shoe rack. They had A LOT of shoes. One of them though was old and tattered. "Key oppa, why don’t you throw away that pair? It’s all torn up."

He guided his attention to where I was pointing at. "Oh, those? Those are Minho’s."

"Why doesn’t he buy another pair?" I mean he could afford a new pair of shoes right?

"No time kiddo," Key said patting my head.

Hmm…

We ran around the neighborhood and it was very nice. We ran about 2 miles nonstop. Well I ran, Key just speed walked. It felt GREAT. I found out many things about him like how he loved shopping over anything. No wonder he was mad at my choice of outfit yesterday.

 

Jonghyun’s POV

I woke up hoping to see Jun Hye’s pretty face on front of me but she wasn’t there. Did she go to the bathroom? I walked to the bathroom but she wasn’t there either. But I smelt something really good coming from the kitchen. I took a peek and there was food! I mean ACTUAL food. Not frozen or processed food. LEGIT FOOD. It looked so good! There was rice, eggs, sausages and all the other delicious goods. I quickly woke up the others and told them there was food and they rushed out of their bedrooms to eat.

At that moment, Key came in from his morning run with Jun Hye right behind him.

"Oh? You guys are up? You guys usually never wake up until like 12," Key said.

"Good morning, you guys! Did you eat the food I made?" Jun Hye said wiping sweat off of her forehead.

She made this?!

"Thank you, Jun Hye!" they said.

They went running together?! So she likes running? I’ll go for sure next time. Even though I don't like it... And I can’t wake up that early either...

We finished the food quickly and got ready for the day. I couldn’t help but feel a little bit jealous of Key, Minho and Taemin because they were so close to her already. She was laughing and talking to them casually but every time I try to talk to her, she throws glares at me. PSH, why do I care anyway?!

 

Jun Hye’s POV

We went back to the dorm after we finished running. The other boys were already at the dining table waiting for us. Why did Jonghyun look annoyed?

"Good morning, you guys! Did you eat the food I made?" I said wiping the sweat off.

"Thank you, Jun Hye!" they said.

They finished everything in an instant and got ready for the day. I changed into something comfortable and put a hat on. We got into the van and went our separate ways when we got to SM. I went into Dae Jung Oppa’s room; he was waiting for me inside.

"Hey, kiddo!"

"Hi, oppa!"

"Ready to live the life as a trainee?"

"I’m ready!"

He took me to the fifth floor where the trainee’s were. There was many trainees there already practicing. Some were warming up their vocals and some were stretching. Most of them were giving me glares and whispering. Of course, this is competition.

"Okay, Jun Hye, good luck! Fighting!"

"Fighting!"

He left the room and I was left alone.

A really pretty girl was practicing her vocals near the front. Should I try to be friends with her? She didn't look as intimidating as the others. I gently tapped on her shoulder and she turned around.

"Hello, I’m Lee Jun Hye the new trainee," I said bowing to her.

"Hi, I’m Shin Eun Mi! Nice to meet you! Let’s be friends okay?"

She was so nice!

 

Eun Mi’s POV

UGH! I can never go up that high pitched! I’ve been in SM as a trainee for a year already and I haven’t even debuted yet. Only thing stopping me is that stupid exam! I was on top of everyone though. Looks and everything. No one can compare to me. Whenever someone was beating me, I made sure my daddy destroys them. What can I say? I’m a daddy’s girl after all.

As I was practicing for my song, I felt someone poke me on my shoulder. Who the would touch ME? Do they know who I am?! I turned around to see this really pretty girl look at me. Well, not as pretty as me of course.

"Hello, I’m Lee Jun Hye the new trainee," she said while bowing.

Oh, so she’s the new trainee? I gave her a fake smile.

"Hi, I’m Shin Eun Mi! Nice to meet you! Let’s be friends okay?"

She smiled and I gave her one back. Why won’t she go away?

"KYAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! Jonghyun oppa!!!!"

I immediately turned around and saw my bias standing at the door. Oh my god he is just… UNF! He gave us a smile and started looking around.

Jun Hye gave out a groan and tried to hide herself.

"Jun Hye. Babe!"

Babe?! Oh hell no.

He walked into the room and squatted in front of her. "Are you going to say hi or what?" he asked her tilting his head.

"What." He pouted and started poking her. "Aish, what do you want?!" she screamed at him.

He jumped up a little surprised. "Yah, I just came to say good luck."

"Okay you said it now go, please," she said gesturing to the door.

"Not until you give me a kiss!" She glared at him until there was a hole in his head. He slowly backed away. "Bye, babe!" he skipped out of the room.

"Aish, this guy…"

Why was she so close to him?!

"Hey, Jun Hye," I said. She was in her own little world. "JUN HYE!" she turned towards me.

"Yeah?"

"How do you know Jonghyun oppa?" I asked her sweetly.

"Oh we met a few times before that’s all."

"Oh okay!" PHEW, I thought they had a past together or something.

I don’t like her but one thing’s for sure.

I’ll use her to get closer to Jonghyun oppa.

Few weeks later

 

Jun Hye’s POV

"NO NO NO! You guys are doing it wrong! From the top!"

"UGH!!!"

I collapsed on the floor after we finished our dance routine. This is TORTURE. We’ve been training nonstop ever since day one. People looked like they would faint right on the spot. When will we have a break?!

"Okay guys that will be enough dancing for the day," our instructor said.

"WOO HOO!" everyone was excited and relieved. So was I.

"But, we have to talk about school now," he said killing everyone’s mood.

"UGH!"

School? We have to go to school?!

"Everyone will be taking the basics; math, history, science, and the other stuff. You’ll also have to learn English."

"ENGLISH?!" Everyone was becoming nervous.

I’m glad I’m ahead; I’ll pass everything with flying colors. Hehe, lucky I came from the States so I don’t have to take English!

"Since all of you are still high school students, we’ll make you take the classes that are required. You take an exam at the end of the semester. If you pass the exam, you won’t have to take classes anymore. If you don’t pass, you won’t debut. "That’s it for today, go home and rest everybody. Make sure to report here first thing in the morning tomorrow. You‘ll start your classes then."

We started filing out of the room one by one. This was the earliest we’ve been let out; 10:00 at night.

"Jun Hye!" I turned around and Eun Mi was waving at me.

"Hey, Eun Mi unnie!" She's one year older than me.

"Can you believe it? We have to go to school," she said with a disgusted look on her face. She kept babbling on and on but I wasn’t paying attention. I just wanted to go home. "JUN HYE!"

"Oh! Yeah?"

"Where are you going right now? Me and a bunch of the trainees are going to a noraebang. Wanna come?"

"I would love to but I want to go home and rest. Maybe next time," I told her.

"Aww come on, Jun Hye, don’t be a party pooper! You can bring some of your friends too like I don’t know maybe Jonghyun oppa?" she said sweetly.

Jonghyun? I haven’t talked to him in a long time… We’ve been busy doing our separate thing. I could tell Eun Mi likes him.

"Its fine, I’m kind of tired. Next time, I promise!"

"Ugh, okay then, bye!" She looked disappointed.

They all went off to the karaoke bar and I started walking home. *Growl….* Man am I hungry! I’ve been eating instant food or I wasn’t eating at all since I starting training. I walked to the nearest market to stock up my fridge. I walked inside and started piling up on food. Oooh… should I make chicken tonight? I got excited just thinking about it. I went to the noodles section and I saw Onew there buying a bunch of cup noodles.

"Onew oppa!"

He dropped everything on the floor surprised when I called his name. "Oh, hey, Jun Hye! What are you doing here?" he said while picking up his stuff

"I’m buying food." *Isn’t it obvious?*

"Oh haha, I knew that," he said. He followed me to the cash register and we paid for our stuff. He even volunteered to help carry my groceries. What a gentleman. Both of us started walking back to the dorms and there was awkward silence between us. "So… how’s training?" he asked me.

"It’s been good. How have you guys been?"

"Pretty good," he said while nodding.

"So you guys don’t have a schedule right now?"

"Nope, we’re free for this week."

"Oh that’s great! You should get some rest!"

"We know!" he said grinning at me.

"You guys eat dinner yet?"

"We’re just gonna eat instant noodles like we always do."

Poor them… "Mhm okay then."

"But I would kill to eat chicken…" he mumbled.

Before we knew it, we were already at the building. We went into our respective dorms and I started cooking after I put everything in place. I should make them something! I put on an apron and started cooking chicken fried rice. A simple yet delicious recipe I learned from one of the chefs back at home. I put it in a container and also gave them some side dishes. These boys need to eat healthy! Haha, umma status on.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

I stood in front of their door and waited for someone to open it.

Jonghyun opened the door shirtless…

In boxers.

"OH !" He quickly closed the door and I turned around. Why would he only wear that?! But his abs though… SNAP OUT OF IT!!! I tried to de-blush myself and waited for him to open the door.

"Noona!" Taemin opened the door instead and ushered me inside.

"Hey, Taemin! Hi, guys!" Jonghyun was nowhere to be found. Probably hiding from embarrassment.

"Hey, Jun Hye, sorry you had to see that," Key said.

"Hehe, it’s okay. You guys didn’t eat yet right?" I said walking towards the dining table.

"Nope, we were just about to. Want to join us?" Minho said.

"Sure!" I said smiling at him.

"What kind of noodles do you like, noona? Kimchi, Beef, Chicken, Vegetable?" Taemin asked.

"Chicken! I want chicken!" Onew said. This chicken freak.

"Actually, you guys don’t have to eat noodles today!"

"Why? Do you want to eat to-go?" Taemin said.

"Nope! We’re eating chicken fried rice! I made it myself so eat a lot!" I revealed the container with all the stuff inside.

The boys were excited and happy. They even started clapping.

"Fried rice?! Chicken flavored too?! Oh thank you, thank you, thank you, Jun Hye!" Onew gave me a big hug.

Jonghyun came out of the room grinning at me. "Hey babe! Did you like what you saw?"

"Ew please. There was nothing to see but a belly."

The boys started to laugh. But I got to admit he did look good…

"I know you liked it. Don’t try to deny it." He was getting on my nerves. Manwhore…

"Onew oppa!"

He was busy stuffing his face with chicken. "Yeah?"

"Remember what you said when we were walking home?"

He gave me a blank stare. "What?"

"Remember? The chicken thing?..."

"OH! Yeah why?"

"Well I gave you chicken so..." I tilted my head towards Jonghyun. 

Onew looked at Jonghyun with the spoon in his hand. He looked like a creeper.

"YAH, hyung don’t do it," Jonghyun said while slowly backing up.

"MWAHAHA!!"! He started to chase dino around the dorm but eventually fell flat on his face again but not before fake killing Jonghyun first. Onew was poking Jonghyun’s with the spoon. After a while, they came back to the dining table and sat down.

"Haha, that was so funny! Thank you, oppa!" Onew nodded and started eating again. "Eat all of it! No leftovers okay?"

"Okay!"

They ate the food with smiles on their faces and I couldn’t help but smile along. They all act adorable without even knowing it. It was getting late so I excused myself and went back to my dorm. What time would it be in Cali right now? I rung up my parents first but they didn’t pick up. I haven’t been talking to them lately because I was busy with training. I called Andrew and he picked up after a few rings.

"Hello?"

"Andrew!" I was happy to hear his voice.

"Oh it’s you," he said in a cold voice.

Oh it’s you? What does that mean? "Is something wrong Andrew?"

"You know what? Yeah, something is wrong." Why was he raising his voice? "Everything is wrong. I can’t do this anymore."

"What are you talking about?"

"You and I. I can’t deal with it anymore."

"Why?"

"Me and you… we’re not even in a relationship. We’re just together. Now that we’re long distance..."

"I told you I need time and you said you will respect that," I said.

"I know I said that but you know how boring it is for me?!"

I exploded after hearing that. "Is that why you’re out seeing other girls?!" I yelled at him.

"What? What are you talking about?"

Stupid idiot… I was pissed. "Don’t think I’m stupid, Andrew. You don‘t think I know anything?"

"Why are you always bringing this up anyway? You know I would never do that."

Part of me wanted to trust him but part of me didn’t. "Well you always start it!" I said screaming at him.

"Whatever, I need to go." He hung up without saying goodbye.

"UGH!" I punched my pillow out of frustration. Stupid idiot… Isn’t this great?

I fell asleep while crying.
