“Jonghyun-ah...” Jinki called out as he was sitting with him in the studio that moment. Jonghyun didn't respond. “Jonhyun-ah..” He called again but still no answer. “Kim Jonghyun.”

“I never intended it to be like this.” Jonghyun said out of nowhere while looking at an empty space. “I thought I have finally gotten over her. I really thought I moved on. When I met Yeojin, I swear I loved her immediately. It was love at first sight, and I'm sure I didn't fake anything. When I met Yoogeun, I thought the only thing that will change is that I have a son, and I was very glad Yeojin accepted him. However, having my feelings back for Soeun was never in my plan. I didn't intend it to happen, and when I felt like it was coming, I'm serious I tried stopping myself, but I can't. I just couldn't.”

“It was funny how you and Soeun said exactly the same thing.” Jinki uttered and rested his head on the swivel chair – as if thinking something deep. “Once and for all, tell me who you want to stay with. Soeun or Yeojin?”

Jonghyun looked away and sighed, continuously patting the pen against the wooden table with his heart bothered and unsettled. Jinki sat properly and crossed his legs, “You probably have chosen someone, it's just that...”

“I don't want to hurt Yeojin.” Jonghyun answered immediately and sighed. “She didn't do anything to deserve something like this, and we're married. It was you who told me I'm committed, and I have really no right to choose between what I like.”

“Yes, definitely.” Jinki nodded several times, “But can you last a marriage knowing you want someone else to be in her position and she's just somewhere out there?”

There was a long silence, and Jinki knew it was also a tough decision for Jonghyun to make. “You actually don't deserve any of these. Soeun and Yeojin are both wonderful people. They're both precious, and you don't have the right to keep on hurting them. You say you don't want to hurt Yeojin, then does it mean you can bear seeing Soeun hurt?”

There was a long silence again until Jinki realized something, “Oh yea. She lost her memories of yo so it doesn't really matter coz she will never get hurt if you end up choosing Yeojin, but what about you? Will you still be happy? And are you sure you're still capable of making Yeojin happy?”

“But what about her?”

“Well... she'll get hurt. That's for sure, but I'm also sure someone else can make her happy, happier than if she stays with you.” He sighed. “Aiggooo~ Life is so hard as you always need to consider everybody else's feelings. You should go to Yoogeun and his mother. Don't be afraid to search for what you really want.” He smiled and patted Jonghyun's back before leaving the room.

“Manager, are you sure you're alright?” Her assistant entered her office with another cup of coffee. She was worried because she thought Soeun lost a lot of weight and felt that maybe she needed more rest. “The bosses have heard about your accident and they said they will understand if you take few more weeks of leave.”

“I'm fine, seriously.” She smiled brightly and nodded while taking her coffee. “I wouldn't be able to walk myself here if I'm not well.”

“You didn't bring your car with you, right? Then who's gonna pick you up later?”

She shrugged her shoulders. “I can just take a bus, plus I need to pick Yoogeun from the daycare again, he started schooling and his teacher understood why he had to be gone for so long.”

The manager nodded. “Do you want me to go with you until you reach home?” I'm worried for you, manager.”

“Thank you, but you don't need to be worrried. I'm telling you I'm fine!”

“But, was it true that you forgot some people?” Soeun paused for a while and eventually nodded. “Then you still remember me, right? You still remember who I am and what we've been through before?”

“Yes. Definitely.” She chuckled as she find her assistant very amusing. “The only people I think I forgot were Kim Jonghyun and his wife.”

“Huh?!! You forgot about Kim Jonghyun and his wife?! Of all people?!!”

Soeun frowned and looked at her asistant in confusion. “Yes, why?”

“Well... he is Yoogeun's father... and the reason why you left is because of them.”

Soeun stopped her work and spaced out. It was the first time after the accident that someone has fully opened about her real relationship with the two. She knew it all, but it felt weird as she thought she would never hear that thing again.

She was about to say something when her intercom rang. “Yes, Manager Jung speaking.”

“Manager Jung, someone's here at the reception area looking for you.”

“Who?”

It took a bit long for the person on the other line to answer, “He doesn't want to say, manager, but he said he was here to ask you out and eat somewhere.”

“But I don't know him. Tell him I won't go with someone I don't even know.”

“Aigoo~ manager, just say yes. He is such a cutie.” The receptionist couldn't help herself as she talked like a fangirl on the other line. “And he doesn't seem like a bad person. Do you want me to ask him go up and personally see you at your office?”

She was suddenly nervous. Perhaps, it was Jonghyun? “Is it someone who look familiar? Like... was there any time that person went here to see me?”

“I don't think so, manager.” The receptionist confirmed, “And he was telling me he'll reveal your deepest secret if you don't go down and see him.”

“Aiggoo.” She sighed and shook her head while smiling after finally realizing who it was. “Okay. Fine. Tell him I'm going down and wait for me.” She said and ended the call.

“Who is that, manager?” The assistant asked curiously to which she winked.

“Someone I met after the accident.” She said and took her phone and her wallet. “I'll come back after an hour.” That's all and she left the office with her assistant wondering who it was and what was it all about.

She was right when she thought of that person coming. As she went down the lobby, a familiar figure stood out among any other people there. He was looking around with his serious and blank face, but as he met her eyes, the guy broke a smile and he absolutely looked handsome.

“Surprise.” He said with a huge smile.

“Doctor Park. This isn't a hospital and I don't think I have check up right now.” She said and chuckled softly. “And you didn't even text me. You should've called first.”

“I just said 'surprise'. It wouldn't be a surprise if I went here after telling you I'll go.” He smiled. “So? Can you treat me to some snacks?”

She frowned and partly opened in surprise. “No! Of course not! Why would I? It was you who went here so definitely you need to be the one treating me!”

“Fine. Fine. I thought I can turn tables. I saw this coffee shop near your company and it looked so cozy. Should I treat you with some sweets?”

“Okay. As long as it's your treat.”

People around the company couldn't help but look at the handsome doctor who obviously caught everybody's attention. From his physique to how he groomed himself, he was absolutely a head turner.

And not far away was someone looking at the both of them. It was Kim Jonghyun who arrived few minutes after the doctor did. He was about to see Soeun as well but then he saw the doctor and wondered why he was there.

He remembered overhearing the conversation between the two of them before inside her room while she was still in the hospital, and he suddenly couldn't help but wonder if there's something going on between the two of them

The two seemed so close and it didn't look like it was just a doctor-patient relationship, and yes, Jonghyun didn't like the sight.
