Author's Note: Okay, I never expected to write this much OTL -headdesks- Anyways, congratulations exopink shippers! There has finally been interactions ;~; crying. Let's hope for more! I'm seriously watching every ending of music shows just to see for interactions xD -shot a million times- However, I hope you guys enjoy this one shot ^^ I don't know what I was writing OTL

Also, call me crazy, but remember when Baekhyun was staring at Hayoung for the longest during the Idol Athletic Championships? I've been keeping my eye on him lately and if you notice from the ending of music bank, on the right hand of the screen you can see Hayoung and Naeun with Chanyeol and kind of Baekhyun behind them. And then towards the end, Baekhyun is pretty much standing behind Hayoung. excuse me because i'm not sure what i'm thinking of and it's past midnight OTL

Anyways, on with the one shot!

The 26 year old female lies down on her bed, her eyes finally resting after a long night with her crying child. She can finally hear silence and peace fill the room, hearing the gentle wind hit against the window. She takes a deep slow breath and smiles in content, “Finally…” She whispers to herself as she sleeps on her side. Suddenly, the door opens slowly, the light from the main room creeping in.

She groans slightly and opens her eyes, sitting up slowly to be greeted by her husband. “Ah, Sehun, you’re home,” She smiles weakly as she yawns, rubbing her eyes. The male smiles lightly and nods, placing his suit case down, “Did you have a long night again?” He asks as he closes the door and turns on the light. She nods and lies down on her back, staring at the ceiling, “Hyunmin can’t sleep at all—but I finally got him to sleep…”

Sehun nods as he takes his tie off, grabbing his night clothes out of the drawer and going into the bathroom, “Rest in for tomorrow, okay? I’ll be off, so I’ll help take care of him.” He closes the door behind him and the female is again greeted with silence. She closes her eyes, hoping to go off into dreamland soon. However, the weight of the bed shifts and her eyes open once again. The lights were turned off and she suddenly feels a strong pair of arms wrap around her waist. “Hayoung, don’t overexert yourself, okay?” He whispers as he lies on his side, the moon being the light to help him see her figure. She looks weak and it seems like she’s yearning to sleep for days.

“I won’t, but I’m trying to work hard as a mother,” Hayoung replies groggily as she also turns on her side to face her husband. “I want things to work well for our new family,” She looks up at him and notices the bag under his eyes. Her thumb gently reaches up and cups his face, rubbing light circles under his eye. Sehun leans in to her touch, his eyes closing as he speaks in return, “You are. Don’t worry, okay? You’re a perfect mother and wife.” He pauses and leans his lips on her forehead, “Now let’s sleep. If Hyunmin cries, just wake me up because you need to rest—a lot.”

Hayoung smiles lightly despite her weary state, finally going off into dreamland.

The next morning, Hyunmin cries again and instantly, the cries are echoed through the room. Sehun lets out a few scrambled words, slowly getting out of bed. He places his hand over his eyes and blinks a good few times to wake himself up slightly. Walking out of the room and towards the next, he finds his baby son crying in the crib. “Aw, Hyunminie,” He coos and picks up his son gently, cradling him in his arms. “Daddy is here,” He whispers as he traces his petite face with the back of his index finger.

Sehun sighs quietly and mutters, “Too bad I have to go on a work trip soon…” He bounces his son softly and soon, his child’s eyes closes once again, on his thumb. The father grins proudly and lays him back gently in the crib, walking towards the kitchen to start breakfast.

The scent of bacon, eggs, and toast fills the air in the bedroom, Hayoung’s nose wiggling and her stomach suddenly growling. She stretches and inhales the scent, her head turning towards the window with the sun shining brightly. She then turns her head towards the other side to find no one beside her. Tiredly, she walks out of bed, almost stumbling until she reaches the wall. “Sehun—oppa?” She manages to say as she walks towards the kitchen, finding her husband placing the food on two plates.

“You’re up,” Sehun smiles and places the pan in the sink, walking over to hug his wife. “Did you sleep well?” He asks as he closes his eyes and lays his chin on top of her head. The female nods and envelopes her arms around his middle, leaning her cheek against his chest, “I did. It was better than the rest of the days.”

He pulls away gently and ruffles her hair, “Go ahead and eat, alright?” He walks over to the sink and starts washing the dishes while his wife started sitting down and eat. She watches her husband and smiles warmly, feeling grateful for her caring husband.

Soon afterwards, Sehun takes a seat beside Hayoung and places a hand over hers, “Hayoung. I was told that I have to attend a conference in Hong Kong…” She blinks and looks at him as she has the fork in . “I’ll be gone for about a week, but I’ll definitely try my best to call you,” He holds her hand tightly and looks at her sincerely.

Hayoung smiles lightly and nods, “I understand. You’re working hard, so I can’t get mad at that. I’ll see if any of my friends can come over and help.” Sehun smiles in relief and kisses her cheek, “You’re always understanding, Hayoung.”

-

It was a sad departure for Hayoung as she watched her husband depart. Now, she was stuck in her apartment and was left with Hyunmin. It’s already been five days and she hasn’t been able to get help to take care of him. She’s been so feeble and her eyes were heavy.

She carries him gently and hums quietly, observing his features. He had eyes like his father and a nose like her mother. “Hyunminie, you’ll stay strong just like appa, right?” She whispers and rocks him back and forth gently. Suddenly, a knock on the door reverberates and Hayoung slowly gets up, walking towards the door and opening it quickly to reveal one of her friends, Junhong. He’s always been there for Hayoung ever since day one, never leading her side at all—until Sehun came into their lives.

“Thanks for coming, Junhong. I really appreciate it. All of the unnie-deul are so busy and I didn’t want to bother them,” She bows her head and speaks softly as the male closes the door behind her. “It’s okay! You can always call on me if anything happens,” He grins and looks around the apartment. He then glances at Hyunmin and grins, “He’s really adorable.”

Hayoung smiles warmly and nods, “Thank you. Please, go ahead and sit down. I’ll grab some water for you.” She walks towards the small crib in the living room and safely puts her son down. Junhong observes her every movement and sits down on the couch, making himself comfortable. I loved her from the very beginning and now Sehun has her. I really wish I was in his place, but I have to let go of this pain inside. Maybe if I let it out, it’ll turn better…

“Here you go,” She places the glass of water on the table and takes a seat beside her friend. She stares at Hyunmin and soon glances at him, “How have you been doing?”

Junhong leans forward and takes a sip out of the water, “I’ve been doing fine. How about you? Still having those sleepless nights?”

Hayoung nods and purses her lips, “It’s hard, but it’s a blessing to have Hyunmin here.” Junhong nods and bites on his bottom lip, “Hayoung…I really want to get this off my chest.” He his dry lips and stares at her, “Ever since we’ve met—I grew attracted to you.” The female’s eyes widen as she stares at her best friend, laughing nervously, “O-Oh, thank you…”

“I’ve always liked you, Hayoung. I always did,” He confesses as he watches her expression fall. It took her a while before she starts slapping his shoulder playfully, “Well, that’s the past now, right?” Junhong couldn’t help but stare at her lips and without thinking his lips instantly crash on top of hers. He finally got to kiss those soft lips he yearned for years. Hayoung’s eyes widen as she stays frozen, her limbs heavy.

The door creaks open and immediately, a low dark voice echo, “What the hell is going on?” Hayoung immediately pushes his chest away with her hands, turning around to see her husband in his work attire. However, his aura completely changed from tired to absolute anger.

“Sehun, it’s not what—‘” Hayoung starts, but Sehun walks inside and stomps towards the male. “Then what is it?” He glares at Hayoung and Junhong, completely on fire. “Junhong—he—‘” She stutters as her eyes start to tear up. Her emotions has been riding up lately due to lack of sleep and eating.

Junhong stares at the ground as his head is completely hung down. Did he really just kiss a married woman? It felt like he committed a crime. “Sehun,” He murmurs as he holds his head, “It’s my fault…”

“I came home early as a surprise and instead I was welcomed with this,” Sehun grits his teeth and runs his hand through his hair, “Then explain, Junhong. Explain.” His eyes shows fury and his deep breathing could be heard.

He stands up and looks at him, “I have loved your wife for the past years, but then you came and stole her away from me. I couldn’t help it. Don’t get mad at Hayoung, okay? Get mad at me. You have every right to.” He starts walking away and stuffs his hand in his pocket, “Hayoung, I’m sorry…Goodbye.” He stands in front of Sehun and looks at him, “Just take care of her, okay? If I ever hear anything bad, I won’t hold back.” He walks away and closes the door behind him, feeling guilty. However, since he let his feelings out, some weight lifted off from his shoulders.

Hayoung couldn’t help but let tears stream down her face. “I’m so sorry, Sehun…” She covers her face and takes a deep breath, “I didn’t mean to stay frozen…”

Sehun looks up at the ceiling and then glances at Hyunmin who is sleeping peacefully. His eyes soften and remember the reason why they married and started a family—it was because they promised they would always love each other no matter what would happen. He walks deeper inside the room and settles his luggage, sitting down next to her and holding his wife. “Hayoung,” He whispers tenderly as he closes his eyes, feeling her back heave up and down abnormally due to her sniffles. “Honestly, I am mad about this whole situation, but I can’t stay mad at you. It’s not your fault just like what Junhong said.” Hayoung holds onto his buttoned shirt and leans her head in the crook of his neck, “I don’t even know why I’m crying this much though…”

The husband rubs her back and breathes quietly, “It’s because you haven’t been resting a lot. You seriously need rest and it worries me. I came back as fast as I can so I could help you.” Hayoung looks up at him and hides her lips before speaking, “I know you won’t forget about this, but—we can move on from it, right?”

He nods and runs his thumb over her lips before kissing her softly on the lips. Hayoung sinks in as her last few tears drop, returning the kiss gently before pulling away. “Of course,” He leans his forehead on hers and stares at her deep brown eyes, “Go ahead and take a nap, okay? I’ll take care of everything from now on.”

She felt touched—deeply touched that her husband was forgiving. Most of the times, he wouldn’t forgive her until the next day or so. He knew how tired and emotional she was and he didn’t want to risk anything worse to happen. “I love you so much,” Hayoung whispers as she closes her eyes. “I love you too, Hayoung,” He breathes as he continues to rub her back soothingly.
