Author's Note: Here's the sixth installement of the project! ^^ Half way done! I'm really sorry for the delay ;~; Maybe I'll be able to work on the next pairing tonight since I don't have homework! I hope you enjoy this one! It's not fluffy since I always imagine any Kris pairing as a slightly agnst, dramatic one xD

“I’m so stupid. Why am I even doing this?” She mutters to herself as she formally sits on her chair in the restaurant. She could feel the love lingering in the air with the couples around her. She could almost gag, but she knows that she was one of those couples.

Her ex-boyfriend was amazing and despite being a cold person, he was always sweet and caring towards her. However, it’s almost been one year since they’ve broken up and every day she has been waking up to an empty space on her bed.

“Park Chorong, you have to try this! C’mon, it’s been a year since you’ve last gotten with him. It’s time to mingle!” Her friend, Jung Eunji, screams in happiness as she tries to convince her older friend. Being persistent, Chorong crossed her arms, “I’m not!”

“But I already made the reservations!” Eunji pouted as she held the information, “I promise you it’ll be great!”

“Why can’t you and Baekhyun just go?” Chorong sighed softly as she looked at the paper in Eunji’s hand. “We’re already planned for another event,” Eunji beamed as she placed the paper in her hand, “Just go, I promise you it’ll be good!”

And there she is, Park Chorong sitting all alone while she waits for her blind date. If this goes wrong, she knows who she’s going to make a hapkido move on. Glancing at her watch, Chorong sits up straight while looking out the window. The crisp air and the white fog flows around the scenery as the grain-like stars shine. The full moon shines brightly as the spotlight, it’s innocence setting the mood.

“Chorong…” The voice rings in her ears, her heart beating loud like the drums, tears slowly creating in the corner of her eyes. Oh how she missed hearing that voice, but it can’t be him. Her eyes nervously look up, seeing a tall man with dark blonde hair stand there with a bouquet of roses.

“Y-Yifan…” She has never expected the day of her lips calling the name of her past lover. “W-why are you here?” A lump in starts forming as she bites on her bottom lip. Suddenly a tall beauty comes into her vision, the beauty placing her hand on Yifan’s shoulder, “Our table is ready.”

Chorong takes a deep breath and nods, looking away, “I see,” She purses her lips and bows her head, “It was—nice seeing you again.” Yifan stares at her, noticing her feeble features. He wanted to go back with her so bad, but he didn’t want to make her go through all the emotional pain he’s given her.

He was your standard player who always had girls, but he had a good heart with good intentions. Girls always cling to him and he’s done nothing to retaliate because they just keep coming back to him. Even though he was going out with Chorong before, the girls wouldn’t stop going to him. He couldn’t help but feel remorseful and end it so she wouldn’t have to have the constant depression of him not giving enough attention to her. However, through the one year he hasn’t been with her, he’s made a dumb mistake of it. He regret it so much, not being able to laugh and be a dork with her, share memories with her, everything. He especially missed her cute personality, her bright smile, her warm affection, and her caring heart.

Feeling the tug on his arm, Yifan follows his blind date, sitting at the table almost by the corner. He pushed in the chair for his date and soon sat in his, getting a perfect view of his ex-girlfriend. Why is she all alone? Does she already have a boyfriend?

Soon, a male with charismatic eyes (though it was also small) and skinny facial features enters in a formal suit, bowing towards Chorong. “Sorry for my delay. Work always got me going,” He chuckles softly and sits down, “I’m Kim Sunggyu. It’s nice to meet you.”

Chorong smiles and bows her upper half of her body, “Park Chorong, it’s nice to meet you, Sunggyu.” Her bright pearly whites glimmer as Yifan catches who she’s with.

“Kris?” His blind date asks as he glances at her, a small laugh escaping his lips. “Sorry about that. Shall we order?”

In about half an hour through both the dates, laughs can be heard from Chorong’s table. Sunggyu couldn’t help but let out a few witty remarks about his work experiences and his past love lives. “Are you sure you’re not a sasaeng fan of Hyuna?” She laughs and stares at him, an innocent smile viewed from Sunggyu.

Yifan couldn’t help but look at her, his heart pumping with zeal as his blood flows quickly. Taking a vicious bite out of his steak, he fumes quietly.

After the dates, Chorong smiles and bows to Sunggyu outside of the restaurant. “I’ll talk to you later then?” Sunggyu asks as Chorong nods, exchanging numbers with him. Sadly, Sunggyu had a last minute call about work again. He starts parting as Chorong takes a look up at the evening sky. The moon is now faded as the clouds start to move in front of it.

On the other hand, Yifan is still on his date, paying the check as he sees a fortune cookie placed on his plate. Grabbing the fortune cookie he cracks it open to reveal the fortune paper.

Don’t let anything precious walk away from you.

His eyes widen as he watches Chorong walk past the restaurant, her head hanging down slightly to watch where she’s going. He immediately stands up, looking at his date, “I’m sorry, but I have to leave now.” He bows and rushes out the door, watching Chorong get farther and farther away.

“Park Chorong!” His deep voice echoes in the silent night as she turns around, her eyes widening. No, please don’t. She faces straight again as she continues walking, closing her eyes as she hears heavy footsteps approaching her.

“Cho—‘”

“Don’t come near me!” She beams as her eyes are now tightly shut, her lips quivering. “Don’t make this happen to me,” Her voice turns weak as she takes a deep breath. “Every time I would call you, you’d be with another girl or you’re out with your friends. I had to go through the pain of not being by your side whenever we both had free time. We never had a real date without some girl approaching you.”

Yifan’s jaw clenches as he stuffs his hands into his pockets, “I changed Chorong. Do you know how much I regret breaking up with you? It was only for your own good because I hated to see you cry like that. I’ve tried telling girls to stop it, but they just won’t stop.”

“Can’t you at least tell them to give you private time?” She murmurs as a silent pause approach, the singing of the howling wind filling in.

He turns her around to make her face him, his hand placed on her shoulder like a feather. “I’ve asked them so many times. But do you know what I regret the most?” She shakes her head and keeps her head down. “Not telling them how much I was in love with you. I should have told them how encouraging you were, beautiful you were, how passionate you were, and how you always picked me back up from a fall. Yes, I’ve been acting like a child and not doing anything, but you’re like my drug, Chorong. You’re the one that can make me happy and not depressed without the side effects of a real drug.” He takes a deep breath as his hand slowly slides down to her upper arm and soon, her waist. Both hands snake around her waist, pulling her closer to him into a tight embrace, “And you know what, throughout that one year, I’ve yearned to take you back into my arms and tell you how much I’m still in love with you.”

“But—Yifan,” She starts as her eyes open slowly, looking at the shop in front of her to make a distraction. “I know you won’t take me back too easily, but please, give me a chance again. We can start off as friends again and I’ll make sure I do everything right this time.”

Chorong’s head slowly lifts up as she glances at him, “A-Are you sure?” He nods and gulps down the lump in his throat, seeing how her eyes were glistening with tears slowly starting to form out of her eyes to drag down her soft cheeks. One of his hands goes up to wipe away her tears, his eyes softening up from before. “I’m sure.” After her tears dissipate, he moves away the hair that was placed in front of her face. “I’m sorry, Chorong, for everything I have done to hurt you.”

“Happy Valentine’s Day.”
