~ Kyu-hyun’s P.O.V ~

                I stared at Yuna as I waited for her to tell the truth about her being in the same café where Yoona set up. I wanted to jump and yell in happiness when I saw Yuna earlier there, finally acknowledging the truth behind Yoona’s words. I need to thank her as soon as possible for this. She just made everything clearer for me.

~ flashback ~

                “Yoona, what exactly are you thinking?” I yelled at the phone when I finally reached the rooftop. Yuna just told me not to worry about her because of Yoona’s lies! I can’t forgive her now. Not when Yuna sulks and ignores me like this. She’s just ruining everything!

                “Whoa, whoa. Calm down Kyu-hyun.” She hushed on the other line. “You’ll thank me for this later.”

                “Why would I thank someone who just ruined my relationship with the girl I like?” I sarcastically asked.

                “Hey, it’s you who told me earlier that I’m saying things without basis.” She snorted. “Now I’m trying to show it to you.”

                “Show me what?” I calmed down a bit as possible scenes flashed on my mind.

                “Show you that she really likes you!” Yoona confirmed my thoughts and I tried my best to calm down again because of excitement.

                “And how would telling her that we have a date help?” I asked again, making sure I understand her set up.

                “Just go to the place where I’ll tell you and wait. That’s all you have to do.” She instructed.

                “And?” my smile grew wider as the scene got clearer in my mind.

                “And, if she came there then there’s the proof you’re looking for.” She proudly said. “If not, then I’ll admit my mistake. But I honestly doubt I’m wrong.”

                I don’t want to lose to Yoona so I stopped my laughter from bursting out. Instead, I held onto my hard and strong voice to make it sound like I don’t expect anything.

                “Fine, let’s do that.” I agreed. “But, if you’re wrong, you’ll help me tell her that we never were together.”

                I heard her loud laugh on the other line. “Okay! It’s on! But, if I’m right, then you’ll tell Yuna that it was you who urged me to pretend that we’re together just to see if she’ll be jealous.” She dared and I already regretted being the stubborn me for the first time. I guess I just lost to her.

                “Fine.” I lowly murmured. I hang up the phone and wished that Yoona’s plan would work as smoothly as she planned.

~ end of flashback ~

                Yoona’s plan didn’t go as smoothly as she expected because Dong-hae was here, but at least Yuna came, too. Besides, we can’t really expect her to go there alone since it’s too far from the places she knew.

“Some… someone told m… me about i… it.” she stuttered. She’s really bad at telling lies. She should have some lessons with Hee-chul hyung.

                “Who could that be?” I mocked, noticing her flinch on her seat. She bit her lips together signifying that she won’t say any further.

                I glanced at Dong-hae who stares at us unblinkingly. I mouthed “What?” to him and he just beamed at me. He put his hand in front of him, palm out and facing me; signalling me to wait, so I did.

                “Yuna, may I borrow your phone?” he asked the girl beside him. Yuna absent-mindedly gave it to him. Then, she bowed her head again in her own world of misery.

                Meanwhile,  Dong-hae grabbed her phone and stood right beside me. He opened the inbox of Yuna’s phone and saw Yoona’s message in it. The first one says that she can’t go to the café because of her schedule. Dong-hae pointed to the screen and stared at me for a moment. Then, he opened the next message. There, the name and address of the café was included. The very last sentence says that she’ll be having a date with me there. I snatched the phone from Dong-hae and smiled on my own. When I turned my head towards him, he was smiling as maniacally as I do. I guess he got the set up already.

                “Oh, it’s from Yoona.” We both said in unison while nodding our head to each other.

                “So, you’re supposed to have a date with Yoona, huh?” Dong-hae heartily said and I just smiled at him. We both focused on the girl sitting in front of us who is now out of colour. Dong-hae started to laugh silently beside me as he grabbed my shoulder for support.

                “And someone is deliberately following me.” I answered, holding my breath while waiting for the confirmation from Yuna. She lifted her head up and when she saw the both of us standing in front of her, her pale face turned bright red. So, I really got her this time, right?

                “I… I… I’m not following you.” Yuna replied hardly as she remained seated in front of us.

                Dong-hae snickered beside me and I stopped myself from laughing too.

                “Yuna, is it really because of Kyu-hyun that you badly wanted to go to that café?” Dong-hae asked innocently. I’m starting to thank him for coming along. This’d be an awkward moment now if he isn’t here.

                “I already said no.” her voice is almost begging.

                “Don’t worry, I won’t be mad.” I butted in. She looked up at my eyes and shook her head furiously.

                “Ahh, what to do?” Dong-hae breathed and stretched beside me. “I feel like I’m some third wheel or something.”

                Yuna suddenly stood up and went to Dong-hae’s side. She grabbed Dong-hae’s arm and hid there.

                “Let’s go, oppa. We’re supposed to eat somewhere, right?”her voice suddenly transformed into a sweet tone. I wanted to snatch her arms away from Dong-hae but I also know very well that hyung knew about my feelings for Yuna.

                I almost banged my head when Dong-hae nodded his head to her. What is he doing? Isn’t he supposed to make a graceful exit now that Yuna’s all busted? Isn’t he supposed to give us some time now?

                I stared at the two of them as they happily walked with their arms locked together while I remained motionless at my spot. How could he do this to me?

                “Kyu-hyun! You’re not coming?” he called as they stopped a few meters away from me. I was so dumbfounded that I wasn’t able to respond quickly to his question. They started walking away from me again when my senses snapped back to life.

                “Wait!” I yelled as I ran after them. I locked my hands with Yuna’s free hand and held onto it tightly when she dared to pull it off. She frowned at me but I just grinned at her. She sighed in resignation as we walk altogether towards a destination Dong-hae only knows.
