     Half Filipino, half Japanese at full-on bakudera.

     No joke, grabe mambakod yan sa’min ni Ning.

     I met Gi back at senior high. Kakalipat niya lang sa school namin from another near school.

     Not that tall but is above average, has long legs, intimidating looking, pretty, (she prefers hot or drop dead gorgeous), looks cute with bangs (looks hot without), pinaka-mayaman, pinaka-galante at most independent.

     Right now, she’s living alone in her Tita’s condo, 2 years na siyang naninirahan mag-isa and I must say that I am proud of her.

     Her parents live at their province, Nasugbu, Batangas, while her brothers are currently in Japan.

     One is working there and the other is on ‘vacation’.

     Being the only girl in the family, spoiled na kung spoiled pero Gi never took things for granted, even Me and Ning.

     She’s down to earth, humble, she knows how to drive a car, ka-blockmate ko siya, soon to be attorney ng barkada at syempre, mom of the group (baka hindi lang halata).

     Filipino, walang hati-hati, at full-time osyosera – she knows her limits don’t worry.

     Ang taga-laganap at taga-kalat ng kumukulo pang tsaa.

     Ning’s supposed to be on the same batch as us but something happened after senior high that’s why even if she’s accelerated by a year, she’s currently in her 2nd year of college. Major in Interior Design, oh diba bongga.

     She lives with her mom in the same place as I do pero sa ibang kanto sila, may younger brother na nasa probinsya din with their aunt at isang napaka-hardworking na tao.

     I don’t mean this half-heartedly pero si Ningning talaga ang pinaka-matiyaga at masipag na taong kilala ko, talo pa niya kami ni Gi.

     Unlike her bubbly attitude, once things get serious, she does too. You don’t want to make me remind you of her resting face na para bang dadambalin ka pag may nasabi kang hindi niya gusto.

     Bunso of the group, happy pill, ang katandem ko sa pagiging kpop fan, palaging supportive, knows how to knock up some sense in you at-

     Ay!

     Ang pinaka-matapang! Isang rawr naman dyan Ning!

     Oh so pili nalang kayo-

     ‘Matagal na kayong friends, no?’ Madrid asked.

     ‘4 years? Soon to be 5’ I answered.

     Our agenda today is to hang out with her and those two friends of mine.

     Nung nasabi ko na siya yung kasama ko last week eh hindi na ako tinantanan nung dalawa, they wanted to meet her daw at mukhang I like her as a person so no worries na they’ll like her din. Who am I to say no, I think today’s gonna be great.

     ‘Love mo?’

     ‘Of course, tinatanong pa ba yun’ pataray kong sabi sakanya, nakaupo lang kami dito sa garahe with a fan on kasi maagang dumating tong si Rid, buti nalang maaga din akong naligo.

     ‘Actually, I know Ning,’ panimula niya, which took me by surprise.

     Doesn’t that mean that they’re close already?

     ‘I think’ she added.

     ‘Really? Pano?’

     ‘Garcia diba?’ I nodded. Madaming Garcia sa mundo pero hindi naman kasi marami yung Garcia na may first name na Luningning.

     ‘Fe ba name ng Mama niya?’ omg, she does know her. 

     ‘Oo. Si Tita Fe’ I replied. Madrid just has this gummy smile right now; I think she’s reminiscing about her and Ning. Cute. ‘So kilala mo nga siya?’ I tried to clear out.

     ‘Childhood friend, don’t know if she remembers me but I do remember her’ she collectedly answered.

     The thought of little Winter with little Ning. I know how Ning looked like as a kid from our visits at their house, ini-imagine ko palang ang cute na.... nilang dalawa duh, sino pa ba?

     ‘Small world’ she just smiled at me. Her cheeks were accentuated by the way she smiled.

     Parang bata, I think I could probably imagine how little Winter looked like.

     By then, my phone rang, that only means one thing.

     ‘I’ll be back’ paalam ko kay Winter, she just nodded her head at me- sometimes I think she can be as obedient as a puppy- though I never had one. I think I get
