People used to find space pretty, amazing, something that they wanted to explore. Sanghyuk didn’t understand those people. He’d spent his whole life on a space station and it . He’d give anything to be like the adults in the crew, to have grown up on Earth. Heck, he’d take any planet that humans had colonized, he wasn’t picky when it came to real dirt and sky and all those other things on could only find on a planet.

The people on Earth probably didn’t have to deal with attacking aliens as often either. What he wouldn’t give to go a whole month without having to deal with one of those. He was still nursing wounds from the last time. Sanghyuk had tried to protect his friend Hongbin and all he’d gotten was a trip to the med bay and a scolding from his father. Hongbin had thanked him in between scolding him though, so at least someone appreciated his actions.

All in all, Sanghyuk kind of hated space.

At least……he did until Hakyeon came on board.
