Hongbin tried to hold back his yawn, fight off the tired feeling that was slowly overtaking him. He needed to be awake so he could get off at his stop. As much as he wanted to sleep, it just wasn’t worth the hassle of missing his stop.

“Had to get a place off campus, didn’t I?” he grumbled to himself, shifting his bag so it wasn’t cutting into his shoulder.

Staying in the dorms until he graduated really would have been the smarter move. It would have been a shorter walk to classes, allowing for him to sleep a little bit longer. In the grand scheme of things, those couple of extra minutes probably weren’t that important. Ten years from now, he probably wouldn’t care. But for right now? Now he was a tired med student and every second he could spend in bed mattered.

Hongbin startled slightly when he heard his stop being announced, silently scolding himself for zoning out.

“Hyung!” his boyfriend called as Hongbin stepped off the subway, holding out a coffee cup for him to take.

“What are you doing here?” Hongbin asked, taking the offered drink, “shouldn’t you be home?”

“I thought you might want to walk with someone,” Sanghyuk smiled, “and that you might want your favorite coffee after a hard day at school.”

“Sanghyuk,” Hongbin smiled, leaning against the other’s side affectionately, “thank you.”

“Anything for you,” Sanghyuk replied, pressing a kiss to the top of Hongbin’s head.
