“All packed?” Hongbin asked as Sanghyuk tossed his bag into the backseat of the car.

“Should be,” the younger replied, “I used that list Hakyeon gave me, so I assume I got everything.”

“Your brother,” Hongbin laughed to himself. As much as Hakyeon could drive him – and everyone else – crazy with his slightly overbearing affection, it was nice to know he cared. Hongbin couldn’t say that about his own family.

“Think we’ll have cell service wherever we end up tonight?” Sanghyuk asked as he buckled himself into the passenger seat.

“I’ll make sure of it,” Hongbin promised. Taekwoon, Sanghyuk’s other brother, had only agreed to letting Sanghyuk go on this pre-college road trip if the younger checked in every night. Hongbin knew that his threat to find them and drag Sanghyuk home should he miss a check in was less threat and more promise.

“Then let’s get going,” Sanghyuk grinned, making a move to change the radio.

“Hey!” Hongbin cried, swatting his hand away playfully, “you know the rules. Driver’s in charge of the radio, passenger is in charge of shutting up.”

“You’ll regret that when it’s my turn to drive,” Sanghyuk huffed, no actual heat in his reply.

“Who says I’ll let you drive?” Hongbin laughed, “I love you, but not enough to let you touch my baby.”

Sanghyuk couldn’t help laughing.

A/N: just a cute little road trip with cute boyfriends. btw, is everyone happy with all the updates? i'm trying to make myself do things, stuff that makes me feel good and fight off my depression, so.....expect this 'update a day' thing to keep going for a while haha
