Kim Sori

Age: 28

Type: Shape-Shifter

Sori is the academic advisor for Dark Lake Academy. It’s been hard for her after losing her friends in the Council attack, but she has pressed onward to protect the students of Dark Lake to make sure they can have a future. She wants Dark Lake to be safe and a nurturing environment for all supernatural but at times she still feels despair. Thankfully, she has her loyal husband Ravi to help her through it.

 

Kim (Ravi)  Wonshik

Age: 26

Type: Shape-shifter

Ravi has remained at  Dark Lake with Sori, as the head shifter teacher. He’s very protective of his wife as she’s the reason he has not fallen apart, like his brothers. He still misses his brothers but refuses to meet with them and dredge up old memories. He knows handling any of them is like balancing an egg shell.

 

Cha (N) Hakyeon

Age: 28

Type: Changeling

N now works as a private investigator. He has ties to the ISBIP but separates himself as not to draw any attention to his unique class. He’s finally learned to control his aura allowing him to blend in with any supernatural. He still misses his brothers and hopes to someday fix their bond. He’s the only one who knows Hyuk has failed to pass on.

 

Han (Hyuk) Sanhyuk

Age: 15 (When killed)

Type: Ghost (werewolf)

Hyuk, a ghost, was believed to have passed on after the attack had ended but remains tethered to this world by his brother’s sorrow. He currently lives with N, giving the P.I. information that no one else can get. When he’s not with N, watches Hongbin, trying in vain to fix his most damaged brother.

 

Lee (Ken) Jaehwan

Age: 27

Type: Witch/ Warlock

Ken moved away to Seoul and works in a book shop. He’s very cheerful and the favorite book seller to many children and adults alike. However, his damage was more severe than he lets on. He often escapes into his own imagination where he lives with his brothers as children. There are times when he loses himself in his own little world for days on end and the only one who can bring him back is Luhan.

 

Xi Luhan

Age: 28

Type: Fairy/ Fae

After graduation, Luhan became a therapist/counselor for young supernatural in Seoul. He works in a clinic most of the time but occasionally makes house calls for his worst cases. He tries not to use his empath power on people unless their condition calls for extreme measures. He often visits Ken, trying to keep him for permanently falling into his imaginary world where his brothers are still with him.

 

Lee Hongbin

Age: 26

Type: Fae/ Fairy

Hongbin is the only one worse off than Ken. He has become the living embodiment of despair. He was unable to get over Hyuk’s death. He never talks to anyone, he barely eats. All he does is sulk. He had to be locked away in a hospital because his Fae power of empathy passes his despair onto others and slowly destroys them.

 

Wu (Kris) Yifan

Age: 28

Type: Dragon

Kris still works for the ISBIP but has taken an executive position. He’s working hard to destroy the corruption within the agency but his friends are concerned he’s become far too obsessed and they’re losing the real Kris bit by bit.

Kim (Suho) Joonmyun

Age: 28

Type: Dragon

Suho works a desk job for the ISBIP. He deals with difficult young supernatural, and works hard to find a good place for them, often sending them to Dark Lake to help them find a place to relax and learn.

 

Do (D.O) Kyunsoo

Age: 26

Type: Vampire

D.O. is the main vampire teacher at Dark Lake and is Ravi’s best friend on campus. He has started a program specifically for turned vampires like himself to help them learn to draw blood safely. He keeps in contact with Xiumin who has taken a place on the vampire council and Tao a traveler who is investigating the phenomenon known as the dhampir.

Jung Jessica and Jung Krystal

Age: 28 and 26

Type: Shape-shifter

Krystal and Jessica work as counselors in local schools, scanning students’ aura and recruiting them for Dark Lake if they’re supernatural. Both of them keep strong ties with Sori and Lito, and they work well to help potential students overcome anxieties of going to Dark Lake. While Jessica is focused on her work and the students, Krystal uses a lot of her time in the human world to look for the two childhood friends she had before leaving for Dark Lake years ago.

 

Shin (Lito) Minjun

Age: 24

Type: Shape – Shifter

Lito has grown quite a bit after his near-death experience during the war. He’s become incredibly close to Ravi and feels indebted to Ken for saving his life and wants to help him regain his mental help. After getting a master’s degree in psychology, Lito works as the on campus counselor for Dark Lake hoping to someday assist Luhan in helping Ken.

Jung (Leo) Taekwoon

Type: Nightmare

After Hyuk died in his arms, Leo left Dark Lake early, never to be heard from again.

Name: Choi Seung Cheol (S.Coups)

Age: 17

Type: Shifter

Abilities: changing forms into countless animals, speed, hearing, danger sense.

Sori’s star pupil, he’s been at Dark Lake since he was seven years old. At six, he lost his parents in the attack on the Supernatural Council and lived on the streets for a year until he met Sori and Ravi. He often sees Sori and Ravi as his new parents.

 

 

Name: Kwon Soonyou (Hoshi)

Age: 15

Type: Dragon

Abilities: Flight, dragon form, speed, electricity manipulation

 

He was most anxious to come to Dark Lake, simply because his old life was so restricted. He’s naturally a hard worker and his teachers commend him for that. He’s a bit of a brown-nosier around Sori and because of this he learns a lot more about the faculty than he’s meant to.

 

 

Name: Joshua Hong

Age: 16

Type: Yuki-onna (Jack Frost)

Ability: Ice manipulation, mist shrouding

Joshua is the first Yuki-onna at Dark Lake, and is a curiosity because Yuki-onna are traditionally women while Joshua is a boy. He was raised in the US by his korean foster parents until he was shipped overseas to Dark Lake by the ISBIP (specifically Kris while he was on a mission) when he accidently made it snow in Los Angeles.

 

Name:              Kim Mingyu

Age:                15

Type:               Fallen

Abilities:          Flight, Light and Dark Magic

Mingyu is a goofball, often making mistakes without meaning too. He’s in the top ten in his class although his screw ups keep him from first. He works hard to try and impress his friends, but he hides his sorrow sometimes dealing with the fact that his best friend died in an explosion before the two of them were supposed to go to Dark Lake for the first time.

Name: Lee Jooheon

Age: 15

Type: Dhampir (half vampire, half human)

Abilities: drinking blood, quick healing, speed, hearing, sense of smell, strength

 

Considered a mistake by the vampire council, Jooheon was raised in a human foster home when his human father was killed and his mother was locked away. He became close to six other supernatural until three went missing. A year later he was sent to dark lake. Being the only one of his “Brothers” that knew of his supernatural background, he wants revenge on the vampires for killing his father and taking his mother but soon after meeting D.O. at Dark Lake and making a few new friends, he learns not all vampires are bad.

 

 

Name: Lee Minhyuk

Age: 17

Type: Nightmare

Abilities: horse form, able to enter dreams of other and cause either nightmares or good dreams

 

Minhyuk is nervous entering Dark Lake due to hostile students’ particular hatred for his kind. He is closest to his brother Hyungwon, cementing a bond similar to that of Hyuk and Hongbin. After learning what he is, he starts to hate being a nightmare, until he hears stories from Ravi of a kind nightmare who was once the shifter’s brother. Minhyuk dreams of meeting the Nightmare he believes is the kindest of all.

 

Name: Son Hyunwoo (Shownu)

Age: 17

Type: Warlock

Abilities: spell casting (time magic)

 

Shownu always knew he was different but for some reason he could never figure out why. He spent his adolescence in a foster home caring for his 6 younger “brothers.” However, Shownu always deals with a recurring ‘déjà vu’ feeling from time to time, unaware of his time magic. He wants nothing more than to protect his brothers, and find the three that went missing

 

Name: Hyungwon

Age: 15

Type: Shifter

Abilities: change forms into any animal, hearing, speed, animal communication

 

Hyungwon wasn’t too thrilled being sent to Dark Lake academy with his remaining brothers. He is in denial that he’s a shifter and is afraid of changing forms, primarily because he fears he won’t be able to change back and his brothers won’t recognize him when he finds them. He is Ravi’s new problem student.

 

 

Name: Kwon Yerim (Yeri)

Age: 16

Type: Nymph

Abilities: Wind manipulation

 

Kind and sweet, yet incredibly powerful, she’s one of the most popular girls on campus but she rather not be. She’s been at the Academy since she was six, after her parents died in the Council attack. Although, it’s not official, she’s essentially Minji’s adopted daughter. She likes spending time with S.Coups because he’s lived at Dark Lake as long as her. She finds Woozi adorable.

 

 

Name: Lee Jihoon (Woozi)

Age: 16

Type: Fairy/ Fae

Abilities: empath, dream-scaping

Cute, friendly, bubbly, Woozi is the living embodiment of the happy virus. He always seems to cheer people up, and learning that he is a fae makes him more excited. He very outgoing with his friends but becomes incredibly shy around girls, especially Yeri.

It has been waaaaaaaay longer then originally planed, but what can ya do when real life is, well, real life.

Title will probably change when Nyoko and/or I think of something better.

Updates will probably happen at random. Nyoko and I both have lives in the real world and things going on in those lives that need to be the top priority (she has school, i'm trying to start my own little buisness. naturally those things will take more of our attention then this). Sorry, i know a lot of you would like more of an idea when you can expect updates, but it can't be helped.
