Hakyeon didn’t mind working at the coffee shop. Sure, it wasn’t what he’d imagined doing after college, but it was fine. He liked the work. He liked the customers. He liked the people he worked with. There was several people he knew from college who couldn’t say that about their ‘I studied to be this’ jobs. His one friend, Eunkwang, absolutely hated his job and often remarked on how lucky Hakyeon was. That being said, he also knew a lot of people who would all over what he was doing.

His parents for example. He knew that they only wanted what was best for him, but…….

“Hakyeon,” someone called out, startling him from his thoughts.

“Huh?” he asked, turning around to find one of his coworkers, Hongbin, watching him carefully.

“Are you alright?” Hongbin asked, “you seem kind of out of it.”

“I just got lost in my thoughts,” Hakyeon assured him, “my parents called last night, so…….yeah.”

“Ah,” Hongbin nodded in understanding, “Sanghyuk mentioned something about that.”

“He did?” Hakyeon frowned, not at all happy with the idea of his boyfriend being concerned about him over something so……so nothing.

“It’s Sanghyuk,” Hongbin rolled his eyes, “he always worries. He’s just really good at hiding it.”

“I thought I was better at reading him,” Hakyeon pouted, “I didn’t pick up on anything last night or this morning.”

“Talk to him,” the younger advised, “tell him that this is something he doesn’t have to worry about. And maybe have the ‘share you feelings with me’ talk again.”

“Right,” Hakyeon nodded in agreement.

A/N: short and cute. i had originally planned for something longer when I started writing, but…..clearly that plan didn’t work hahaha
