“What’s this?” Taekwoon questioned, frowning as he looked between Sanghyuk and the letter that the younger had handed him.

“My resignation,” Sanghyuk replied, his expression leaving no doubt that he was serious.

“Wh-what?” Taekwoon blinked, mind trying to process what exactly was happening, “but…….but why?”

“I kind of have to, don’t I?” Sanghyuk shrugged, “I can’t really keep working here if I’m dating the boss. It will cause problems.”

“Like what?” Taekwoon demanded, “Did someone say something?”

“No one said anything,” the younger sighed, “they don’t have to. It’s only a matter of time before someone decides that I only got, like, a promotion or something because I’m dating you. I’m just trying to avoid going through all of that crap.”

“But,” Taekwoon pressed, “but if you aren’t working here, we won’t see each other as often. And where are you going to go? This is your dream job, Sanghyuk. I can’t just let you throw it all away.”

“I’m not throwing anything away,” Sanghyuk smiled slightly, “I talked to Hakyeon earlier. That……that’s not so much my resignation as it is transfer papers.”

“Oh,” Taekwoon blinked, looking down at the letter, “so…….you’re still going to be working here?”

“Just under Hakyeon,” Sanghyuk nodded.

“Good,” Taekwoon sighed, shoulders sagging in relief, “good.”
