5 Pieces has met up outside the place they are staying at in Taipei, Taiwan. They came to the country for their concert on Sunday, but the actual concert isn’t until the up-coming Saturday. For the past days, the group has been recording and taking pictures for a new photo book named ‘Pieces Play ‘n Fun in Taiwan’. For one disk for the DVD, the girls have been going around playing games and doing missions, for entertainment, while the other half of the days they have beautifully dressed up in summer clothes and taken pretty pictures for the photo book. They have also gone sightseeing one day, which was a lot of fun and though they did take pictures for the photo book the girls took a lot of pictures on their own with Emelia’s camera.

But now, the girls are at a basket field in a park, the photographer taking photos of the girls playing around in their comfortable clothes – comfortable shorts, either long or short, a t-shirt with 5 Pieces’ logo on it or a see through knit top with a long tank top under. All five members are wearing the same kind of big white sneakers and rather looking like they are there for a photo shoot, they look to be there to just play.

Throwing the basketball, making it bounce once first, before Carolina catches it, Hannah is laughing happily. Her hair is long and just slightly wavy, and she keeps laughing and clapping her hands between the short runs back and forth with her members while they are playing basket.

Carolina takes the basketball, fast coming four steps forward before throwing the ball up to the goal, scoring. She raises her hands to the air, happily cheering while running around the other members and doing a wild high ten with Emelia who also cheers. The two girls are laughing when jogging a few meters to the other side of the field. The staff around are entertained by the simple game, just because of 5 Pieces’ reactions. Maria hits Julia on the arm, telling her to move faster, while in fact Maria is just jogging around screaming to her teammates Hannah and Julia what to do. The group has been divided in two teams since the second day’s gaming, and they kind of started playing in the same teams now after just having fun at first.

Carolina comes running up to the camera that is filming for the DVD of the photo book, bending her back to reach the height of the camera filming. She shows a finger, counting one, her breath fast from all running on the field. “I scored,” she laughs and looks up at the camera-man. “It was nice, wasn’t it? I’m the best member in basket.”

She stands back up straight, looking at the camera-man with a big smile. Behind her, the other members are just simply being bad at playing. Julia drops the basketball on her feet, making it roll over the field in super speed. Maria shouts and Hannah laughs and Emelia pushes Julia to go get the ball.

They calm down the playing a little for the photographer to be able to capture the moments better. He has captured Carolina jumping to hit the basket; Maria with a focused face pointing somewhere for the clueless Hannah; the girls all running and so on. It is fun going to the side to look through the pictures they have taken, thinking the photographer is the best of capturing their movements. In the middle of taking the pictures, it starts to rain. First a little, so they continue with the playing and photographing, but when the rain starts to pour they run to take cover. Deciding to continue indoors, the members of 5 Pieces gets to change their clothes in the washroom, fixing hair and make-up too before taking seats in the café where they order dessert (cake and cookies) and some cool drinks in high glasses. The girls are sitting all around a table, eating and chatting while being photographed. Outside the window it is pouring down rain, giving a calming atmosphere and with the cake and dessert, the girls are looking like enjoying the time at the café.

Before ending for the day, the girls go to Hyatt Hotel to continue now when it is getting darker outdoors. The clothes are more feminine now; dresses and soft face expressions. Julia comfortably lies down in the bed, on top of the sheets, and Emelia lies down horizontal over the bed, resting her head on Julia’s legs. Hannah sits down over where Emelia is lying, being instructed to lie down diagonally so her head is close to Julia’s arm while her feet are by Emelia’s at the end of the bed. Hannah and Emelia start to fool around with their feet right away, not listening at all to Maria and Carolina who are being instructed of where to be. Carolina gets to sit down in front of the bed, her legs stretched out to the side and her arm resting at the edge of the bed. One of the armchairs is moved to be centimetres away from the side of the bed, and that is where Maria sits down, pulling up her feet on the seat. Like that they poses for the camera, some pictures of them laughing and some of them just looking peaceful; where Carolina couldn’t help joking that they look like they are inviting someone to the bed.

Next up, all the girls lies down in a mess on the bed, resting their head on each other’s leg or waist and mixing up so you got no idea of whose arm it is on your right side while there is someone else’s leg on your left side. Everyone is lying on the bed, Hannah lying on the side and she looks up to the ceiling where the photographer has climbed up on with help of a chair and staff, and he is taking pictures of the girls calmly chatting, some with their eyes shut and others of them just looking. Hannah gives five different poses; one looking at the camera, one looking to the side, one with eyes shut, one with a tiny smile and one where she reaches her hand out to hold Julia’s hand. It was the photographer who told them to lightly hold hand like that; he too knows that 5 Pieces’ most favourite couple voted by fans is Hannah and Julia.

For over two hours they are in the hotel room, taking pictures and trying different angles and such. The photographer wants to try every new idea he gets, and the girls does as he says. They gets to sit down on the bed with a cake too, specially made for 5 Pieces, and the girls are sitting around it with smiles before Emelia her finger over the cream and puts it in , Hannah laughs at her face expression while the photographer says ‘exactly like that’. It is a calm photo shoot, the girls gets tired while being on the bed and Maria once even seems to have fallen asleep during a short break. But it is an atmosphere that rarely occurs other than at photo shoots, so their manager seem to enjoy the calmness that has taken over 5 Pieces.

Though the next day, that calmness is gone. The schedule for today has three things; it is concert practice later, but during the day it stands that they will record for the photo book DVD, and lastly; enjoy Taiwan!

5 Pieces goes exploring, being loud with laughter and talking and there is not a single minute they are still. For spending three days focusing on the photo book shooting, posing and being calm most of the time, the girls got a lot of energy to go sightseeing the things they didn’t get to see before. They eat a lot of different Taiwan food too, gathering a big crowd of fans when doing that.

Day four in Taiwan, 5 Pieces is rehearsing for the concert. All about their ‘Pieces Play ‘n Fun in Taiwan’ is over, the last part was done yesterday, and all left to do is to wait for it to be released in half a year or something.

Hannah is wearing a tab-sleeve long shirt in dark blue, a black camisole under and a pair of tights to a pair of black sneakers. And she is sweating. Several of times the new stylist Park Chan Hyo tells her to skip either the long shirt or the tights, but the others do know that Hannah wouldn’t do that. Stylist Yong Hyun laughs when hearing it, joking with Hannah, saying it is normal to undress when feeling hot. She just hits him hard on the arm over those words. Emelia is walking around in shorts and top, and she too is sweating because the weather in Taiwan is like overly hot.

“This concert will be killing me,” Emelia complains, fanning a bunch of papers to her neck. She looks like she is at a sauna, and Julia laughs at her.

“You look like an idiot.”

“YOU look like an idiot,” Emelia repeats and gives her a glare. “I’m not used to this kind of weather. I thought the summer weather in Sweden was hot, then I’m getting almost killed in Korea because of the weather – but there we got these amazing things called air-condition-”

“There are air-conditions here too,” Julia chuckles.

Emelia mutters that it can’t be working, but her voice is drowned in a loud voice entering the room. “Hello aliens!” SHINee’s Onew greets when entering the room, followed by s Taemin, Key and Jonghyun. Julia greets them all friendly, Emelia just being cool. The two girls have been sitting alone in a room, cooling off as it isn’t people running in and out. Jonghyun can’t comment on Emelia fanning herself though, asking if she has gotten sick or something.

“It’s freaking hot in here,” Emelia angrily responses, making them laugh.

“Lovers!” Maria enters the room with her arms out, an extremely long shirt going all the way down to her knees as if the shirt belongs to the biggest man on earth. She embraces Taemin first, ignoring his shy laugh when she pats him on the and she moves over to give Jonghyun and Onew a hug too. When reaching Key, she gives a stop, putting her hand on her hip and leans back, raising her eyebrows at him. “Why are you looking at me like that, Key-darling?”

“That shirt looks just like the one I have been looking for at home,” Key answers with his own eyebrows raised at her.

Maria gives a shrug on her shoulders. “I guess my style makes you jealous.”

“Where’s Hannah?” Jonghyun quietly asks, and he looks away the moment Emelia gives him a guilty stare.

“By the stage probably. The rehearsals are starting,” Maria answers him, smiling proudly when Key puts an arm around her arm. “Should we go, honey?”

Onew rolls his eyes, heading out the room first, followed by the others.

Hannah and Carolina have been fascinated by the stage like usually. Whenever they reach a new arena for a new concert of theirs, they are deeply impressed by the sight of how big it looks. 12,000 people will be filled in this arena, 12,000 fans from Taiwan. It’s amazing, it’s definitely amazing to just stand there and see the empty arena that tomorrow will be filled with fans. You definitely feel tiny there. Hannah and Carolina are already ready with the microphones and positions on the stage when the other three members come up to join them. SHINee’s four members are on the side of the stage, and Jonghyun seriously almost drops his jaw when seeing Hannah.

It is definitely hot in there, and with all the lamps focused on the stage it is like standing in the burning hot sun. So Hannah had ended up pulling off her tights and put up her hair in a lazy bun at the back of her head, the shirt and camisole are long enough to be a dress. Hannah doesn’t know they are there, because the spotlights are making everyone on the stage blind to look at where the audience will be.

The rehearsals start after checking the equipment another time; they go through just the first song before the music is stopped, them going through details and things to correct – not with 5 Pieces, but with the stage. They continue after that; Maria getting to speak her mind often whenever a Korean staff asks what it is. Because it is 5 Pieces concert, they get to share their ideas as they want it to be perfect just as much as the staff wants. And every detail is important.

“Where will the towels be?” Maria asks when walking to the front of the stage, talking to the staff. “If we sweat too much, we will need towels, not just water, by the stage.”

“The water and towels will be here,” the director answers, standing in front of the stage, and he puts his hand up on the stage to show where it will be. “Some over on that side too. It will be on the same places as it always is.”

“There isn’t anything there now,” Maria jokes and they laugh because it just shows that Maria asked about the towels because she wants to use it now. She is sweating, and everyone is wondering how they will pull off the concert when they are sweating now before the place is filled with fans. But staff has been gone out to look for things to help out cool off the arena for tomorrow; everyone is waiting for them to return.

Julia takes the time to drink some cold water while the others are talking, and she smiles with raised eyebrows when being caught by a camera filming. Behind her, Hannah is waving her shirt to let some cool air touch her skin, walking around a little. The rehearsals have only begun, but they are already sweating. Fans have been placed on the stage too, so when getting the chance the girls and dancers steps up to it to get the cool air blowing on them. Even fighting to take the main spot in front of the fan is a main thing to do during the rehearsal.

At the beginning of the ‘Moon Child’ concert, Hannah is normally performing the duet song [Endless Love], but for their Taiwan concert it won’t be performed, but she will still perform her debut solo song.

[Burning], Hannah’s solo song from 2010; comes for the rehearsals as about the fifteenth song. She will do it with Taemin; the two of them had been practicing during the break. Normally, the song has a rap in it, but since the last concert, that has been changed to a remix where instead of having a male rapper, a male dancer appears. At the last concert it was EXO’s Kai who took on that role, but this time it is Taemin. Hannah and Taemin practice the dance also when they are on the stage, waiting to hear the staff tell them to start. Taemin smiles before biting his lower lip, doing some moves that are not in the choreography. Hannah laughs, not following his steps at all, and he keeps smiling when the staff telling Taemin to go to the side and wait for his appearance. Alone, Hannah waits for them to start preparing with the lift with her, but the staff is in a discussion in front of the stage that she is not listening too.

Getting bored, out of nowhere she starts to sing. She got no idea of how she got the song on her mind, but she starts to sing some lines from the song [Midnight Dream] that is from the drama she acted in a few months ago. She sings the song first for herself, remembering how she performed it with FT Island in Japan, maybe it was in July, and then she brings the microphone to while continuing to sing. She doesn’t sing as if she was having a performance, she just sings in a low voice for herself though she does it through the microphone. It is a try to get used to hear her voice echo in the arena, and no one else cares if one of the singers on the stage is singing.

Hannah stops to sing and instead starts to dance, just small movements, practicing the song by herself while looking around with a bored face expression. She has never been patient, and she seem to be the only one who wants to step down from the stage – maybe because she is standing there alone, taking all the spotlight.

“Alright!” the concert producer’s voice echoes through a microphone and Hannah is fast to turn towards the lift she will use. “Let’s continue now.”

The whole day is spent rehearsing. During a longer break, the girls head outside, just outside a back door to get some fresh air. They are throwing a baseball between each other, with some stylist and SHINee, enjoying getting some fresh air as though it is really hot outdoors also, it is cloudy. The air is actually fresher indoors though.

“Don’t throw it to Maria,” Jonghyun laughs after playing around for some time.

“Oh my, you are not the one to say that!” Maria complains, making the others laugh. Key agrees with Jonghyun, the two boys telling each other she is not good at sports. Maria steps up next to Carolina, whispering to her that when she catches the ball, give it to Maria. When that now happens, Key and Jonghyun runs so far away that Maria can’t throw the ball at them, but their manager instead gives a shout when the ball hits his leg. She had accidentally thrown the ball to the side instead of straight, hitting his leg. After that they made sure Maria doesn’t get the ball.

Maria smiles at the camera filming for their ‘Life of Pieces’ before she points at the side. The camera-man turns the camera to film Hannah sitting at the corner of a sofa with a cardigan over her legs pulled up to her chest, her head resting to the side as she is sleeping with earphones in her ears; next to her Taemin is half lying to the side with a foot up by Hannah’s and his head is resting on Key’s shoulder while Key is sitting with his feet up on a chair. All of them are sleeping and Maria smiles like a mother when looking at them.

“Don’t they look so peaceful?” Maria whispers. “It’s tiring to rehearse in this heat, so we are giving them some time to sleep now.”

Meanwhile, some place else at the arena, Emelia and Carolina and some others are having fun riding around backstage on scooters (those that are for children). Another camera team catches that, and they seem to have a lot of fun. It’s interesting to see how people are spending their dinner break. Hannah hadn’t actually planned on sleeping; she had been looking through practice videos with Key sitting next to her, the room occupied with chatting from others, and when Taemin had sat down and fallen asleep Hannah had started to just listen to music and she fell asleep, in the end Key also falling asleep.

Hannah wakes up when Maria has left, the camera team leaving with her. She feels like she is on the verge of crying and she leaves her seat – when putting down her feet, Taemin’s toes gets under her and she glances to see if he reacts, though he doesn’t move an inch – walking over to the nearest washroom. She washes her face, trying to wake up and get rid of the crying feeling, but when she looks up at her own mirror her eyes waters from tears and she have to look up.

Everything going on about the book is making her close to tears over and over again. With people saying she is a fraud and all that is really tearing her. Earlier today she couldn’t stay away from giving a comment about it on twitter; she is just getting sad over that people are stepping up saying they were the actual writer of the book that Hannah knows she created. On twitter she had written ‘where do you want to come with these lies?’ and in fact that just means in other people’s eyes that she can’t understand why people are lying and she is wondering what they want to get from it. Some TV program in Korea have spoken about that most of the money the book takes in is being donated for charity, so the hosts of the programs and the guests all were giving their opinions on that the book is not just great on the inside but its purpose is helping people who can’t afford even buying a book. Hannah liked how that program had complimented the book and her actually (she had watched it on the laptop last night before going to sleep). Now also Alexander, former U-Kiss member, had written on twitter that it hurt him to hear all the lies being said and created about a good friend of his. She is thankful for him supporting her like that.

She has spent the whole week enjoying time with her members, enjoying their time in Taiwan, but deep in she has been annoyed and hurt by the comments and headlines being said about her self and ‘Joe – Under Seoul’s Streets’.

Still feeling tired and probably looking tired, Hannah returns to the room she just slept in. rubbing her eye, she sees that Taemin was woken up. He had laid out his leg over where she sat before, but he pulls it away when she enters as if inviting her to sit down. Hannah does sit down; grabbing the cardigan she had left on the seat to pull it over her legs when she sits down on her knees, facing Taemin while she rests her side to the backrest.

“Is the rehearsal starting again?” Taemin wonders in a low voice, clearing his voice because it had sounded weird from not saying anything in a while. Hannah shakes her head, her eyes closing almost the moment her cheek touches the backrest and she smiles softly when Taemin caresses her arm. It makes her think he wants her to fall asleep, while in fact he does it to make her know he knows she is tired.

Hannah wants to say something, but once her eyes have been shut it feels like all her energy has been shut too. She can hear her own breathing, and under the eyelids she hopes Taemin isn’t looking at her.

Half an hour later, they are back on the stage. Key and Taemin are still sleeping, and Onew has joined them while Jonghyun is playing some on his laptop. 5 Pieces is working hard on the stage, going through the songs piece by piece and they repeat a lot of things as today they are just spending the whole day rehearsing and practicing while tomorrow they will go through the whole concert one time for final rehearsal with clothes changing and such before they have to get ready for the press-conference and actual concert.

Hannah gets off the stage when they are having their final break, Maria walking before her. Maria laughs when seeing a yawning Taemin coming up to the side of the stage, to come watch the ending before heading to the hotel. He just woke up and Maria cups her hands on his cheeks.

“You are so cute,” she tells him as the younger brother he actually is. Taemin cups his own hands on her cheeks just like she is doing on him, telling her the same thing. “Are you going back to the hotel to sleep now?” she asks him when noticing that he isn’t just newly woken up but he is still tired, and she is thankful for that SHINee has come all the way to Taiwan to help out with the concert when they in fact are preparing for their Japanese single.

“We’ll watch a little before going,” Taemin answers.

Hannah keeps smiling in the background while getting some water to drink from a staff, seeing that a camera is filming them and capturing the cute moment. She turns to Emelia, talking about the rehearsals. A few minutes later they go through the final songs and the ending, before they can finally finish off and head to the hotel to get some sleep before the day of the concert comes.

Hannah shares room with Maria, the two of them chatting while washing up and just when Hannah is ready to fall down on the bed, it knocks on the door.

“You get it,” Maria is fast to say. Hannah groans tiredly and whines, but Maria just points to her to go to the door. Maria is already lying on the bed, cuddling with the quilt. Hannah shakes her head when stumbling over the pile of clothes Maria had thrown on the floor, heading over to the door with a chuckle and when opening the door just a little, she giggles. “WHO IS IT?!” Maria shouts from her lungs.

Jonghyun raises an eyebrow outside the door. “Busy?” he asks and Hannah just smiles tiredly.

“We’re going to bed,” she answers and rests her forehead on the doorframe, smiling at him. He is wearing a pair of pants and a tank top that is revealing his well built body; he is smiling back at her when he leans to the doorframe, being extremely close to her. “Is there something you want?” she asks, biting her lip.

“You?” he whispers with a smirk.

“Ya, Kim Jonghyun!” Maria shouts inside the room. “Go to your own room and SLEEP!”

Jonghyun grimaces and gives Hannah a peck on the lips. “Sorry,” she whispers with a smile and when he shrugs his shoulders in disappointment her smile grows and she takes her hand on his arm to pull him closer. Jonghyun looks very much pleased when she kisses him; it is that kind of kiss that reminds him of that even if every chance they get to see each other isn’t always as they want, he knows she still thinks of him. Hannah laughs when he says he won’t leave after she has kissed him, but Maria gives another shout inside the room so Hannah says they will see each other tomorrow. He kisses her on the hand before leaving, telling Maria goodnight too.

Maria is smiling when Hannah goes to lie down on her bed. “I think I must keep an eye on you two tomorrow,” Maria tells Hannah.

“Why?” Hannah giggles, still blushing from the kiss.

“I could basically Hear him look at you. It’s kind of scary actually, though in this extremely adorable … scary love way.”

“I got no idea of what you are talking about,” Hannah continues to giggle and Maria throws a pillow at her.

“You get to choose; either I keep an eye on you two, or Emelia does it. I wouldn’t want those small eyes after me all the time… THAT I say is scary,” Maria warns her and they laugh. They lie there and laugh for not so long before it fades away. “Stop making me laugh, baby. We need a lot of energy for tomorrow’s concert.”

“Goodnight, Maria,” Hannah chuckles and lies down under the quilt, breathing out. She goes to sleep fast, dreaming away about sitting down on the stage and waving her hand to some ballad music to the fans. It’s a great dream.
