On October 27th, Mnet announced on the official MAMA Twitter that voting for the long-awaited 2014 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) has finally begun! The award show and music festival, which will take place on December 3rd in Hong Kong, has been called Asia’s biggest and best music festival of the year. There has been much anticipation for 2014 MAMA polls to open ever since Mnet released a video teaser for the festival on October 24th.

In addition to being an award show, MAMA is also known for having incredible performances by Asia’s top entertainers. The Mnet award show has been an annual event for the past fifteen years, and 2014 is expected to be the biggest yet.

The award show features 17 different categories for fans to vote on, including Best New Artist, Best Dance Performance, Best Vocal Performance, and more! Nominees this year include top artists such as Taeyang, IU, BEAST and Girl’s Day. Voting will run from October 27th up to December 2nd, with each Mnet account eligible to vote once per day for each category. In addition to the awards voting, Mnet is also hosting a special “Star Cheer Batte Event” for fans to show support for their favorite idols.
