After charges were withdrawn against Kim Hyunjoong, it was revealed that his ex-girlfriend did not also take the settlement presented. 

As they have submitted a request to drop the lawsuit, it was revealed that the former girlfriend, only named as “A,” did not want Kim Hyunjoong punished. Kim Hyunjoong have already met with “A” and has apologized for his actions. “A,” in return accepted his heartfelt apology but did not accept the settlement money. 

Meanwhile, despite the case being dropped by “A” herself, investigators state that Kim Hyunjoong could still be penalized for the one account of assault he has admitted during the course of the investigation. 

Since the case started, Kim Hyunjoong has already apologized to his former girlfriend, along with a public statement to his fans. He has also cancelled his upcoming concert stop in Beijing, China, making his concert in Nagoya, Japan as the final stage in his world tour. 

Kim Hyunjoong was initially accuse of physically abusing his former girlfriend back in May and June which led to an investigation. “A” and her legal team demanded an apology from the artist or more evidence of his abuse will be included in his case.
