Past comments made by Girls’ Generation regarding marriage and group activities have come to light after Jessica’s recent withdrawal from the group. Jessica had asserted that she did not wish to stop group activities in the event she got married.

On a past appearance on MBC’s “Radio Star” program, Girls’ Generation members congratulated Wonder Girls’ member Sunye on her marriage at the time, and shared their thoughts on marriage and starting a family.

When asked whether they would stop activities as Girls’ Generation if they ever got married, all of them, including Jessica, had answered “no” at once.

Taeyeon had also added, “We want to respect the wishes and opinions of any member regarding her plans for activities after marriage.”

After unfounded rumours that she was going to marry Tyler Kwon in May, Tyler Kwon stepped up to clarify that the information was false and he had no plans to marry in the near future. Even so, with differing statements from Jessica and SM Entertainment, netizens are left wondering if there is more to the matter.
