Kim Kwangsoo steps down as CEO of Core Contents Media + all artists moved to MBK Entertainment
K-NewsKim Kwang-soo will be leaving Core Content Media after founding it in 2006. Joonang reports in an exclusive, that all artists will move to subsidiary company, MBK Entertainment.
Core Contents Media is the main entertainment label of CJ E&M. The company houses artists such as T-ARA, Five Dolls, Gangiz, The SeeYa, and SPEED.
Formed as a subsidiary, MBK Entertainment will now takeover reigns as the entertainment arm of CJ E&M. Internally, the company is on their last steps of transferring all artists, actors, and personnel over to the new company.
This comes with news that T-ARA has signed a $5 million dollar contract with a Chinese management company in hopes of expansion into China. T-ara’s latest track, “SUGAR FREE”, was also distributed under the label of MBK Entertainment on iTunes and other music sites.
T-ARA member Qri’s Twitter also notably says in the description, "MBK ent. [T-ARA] 큐리"
The formal signing ceremony and press conference will be held at the New World Hotel in Beijing, on October 13th.
