INFINITE's Dongwoo joins "Laws of the Jungle" + replaces B.A.P's Yongguk
K-NewsINFINITE’s Jang Dongwoo is confirmed to join SBS reality-documentary show “Laws of the Jungle” and has departed for filming on October 5th.
The cast for “Laws of the Jungle” has left for Costa Rica for filming on the morning of September 5th. Besides INFINITE’s Jang Dongwoo, actor Jung Manshik has also joined in the crew. Actor Jung Manshik has acted in several shows, including movie “Man In Love”, KBS drama “Good Doctor”, and SBS drama “Glorious Day” which will air its final episode today.
"Laws of the Jungle" is headed by Kim Byungman, who brings a different group of celebrities to a different place each time. The show’s concept is for the group to survive in a wild and totally foreign place, testing the teamwork among the members as well as individual skills. In previous episodes, other K-Pop idols who have joined the team include After School’s UEE, and EXO-M’s Tao.
INFINITE’s Dongwoo and actor Jung Manshik will join the show’s 16th team, in the “Laws of the Jungle in Costa Rica” episodes. This is the first time the two are experiencing how it is like to be in “Laws of the Jungle”. Last year, fellow INFINITE member Lee Sungyeol has also filmed for “Laws of the Jungle in Caribbean”.
INFINITE’s Woohyun and Sungyeol tweeted Dongwoo their well wishes as he departs for a new adventure.
Woohyun: “Tarzan come back safely♧♧♧ kekeke”
Sungyeol: “I wonder if hyung is in a shark’s stomach right now… kekekekeke Tarzan who is always bright!!!!! Hope you will be bright there as well……. Good Luck”
It was previously reported that B.A.P’s Bang Yongguk would be joining “Laws of the Jungle”, but due to schedule conflicts, INFINITE’s Dongwoo will replace him instead. Dongwoo and Manshik will take over 2AM’s Changmin and Im Changjung as relay members, where the latter two have already gone for filming a few days ago. It is reported that the 16th team will return to Korea on October 15th after filming has completed. The Costa Rica episodes are expected to air in November on SBS.
Fantaken photos have been spotted on Twitter this morning, as fans send Dongwoo off for filming and hope for a safe return.
A few hours ago, Dongwoo updated his fans about his current progress through Twitter, “Ah keke It is everyone’s bedtime right now right ~.~ Somehow, I am saying hello from America~ Inspirits!!! Inspirits, it’s so fun huhu life is also like a jungle~ You don’t know what will happen next, so enjoy yourself more today, fighting!!!”
