YG Entertainment has released a statement with regards to the recent paternity suit filed against actor Cha Seungwon.

Through a press release on October 6th, YG Entertainment states that, “Cha Seungwon got married 22 years ago, his wife then was divorced from her ex-husband and had a son.” The agency explained that Cha Seungwon did not regret his choice and believes that Cha Noah is his son who was born from his heart. 

As the actor is determined to continue protecting his family during this heartbreaking controversy, the agency further asked for everyone to cooperate so no other speculations arose from the issue. 

On October 5th, it was reported that a man recently filed a paternity suit claiming to be Noah’s biological father, suing the actor for 1 billion won.
