Miss. Trouble

It took her two days to get rid of the awful hangover. Leerang hadn’t even left the bedroom except for the very few times she needed to use the bathroom. The only thing she’d eaten was a couple of sandwiches and then some water, food Jungah brought up to their room. However, the girl felt better now, after two days of sleep. “I’m never drinking again, that’s one thing for sure.” Leerang muttered all the whilst she slipped out of bed and headed towards the bathroom, one that was occupied by someone else, “Jungah if that’s you then please hurry.” a reply came, but not from the other girl, “so you’ve finally woken up.” her cheeks flushed upon hearing Lay speak. The embarrassment grew even further when the older male stepped out, half- and only wearing a pair of shorts, “bathroom’s empty.” Leerang felt weak in her knees as he flashed her a dazzling smile, “don’t take too long though, because your friend is determined to drag all of us outside today.”

She looked absolutely terrible. Her eyes were red and puffy and some drool had dried to her chin. Oh god, and that’s how she’d showed herself in front of Lay. “Can this get more embarrassing?” the girl doubted it. In fact, Leerang didn’t even want to be remembered about what’d happened three nights ago. Unfortunately did Jungah have other thoughts, she was going to refresh the girl’s memories as soon as possible. More importantly was she going to tell Leerang how she’d puked all over Chanyeol.

It took Leerang about half an hour - forty minutes to look presentable. The shower made wonders and the drool was gone, but her puffy eyes remained, if not slightly better than before. A knock sounded as she stood there, drying herself with a towel, “Leerang, the food is ready.” the thought of getting something to eat made her happier, more so since she’d eaten poorly the past couple of days. “I’m coming.” said and done, five minutes later was she heading inside the kitchen feeling a lot better. “So the princess have decided to wake up. Did your prince charming give you a kiss.” Jungah flashed her a smile all the whilst the girl herself blushed and averted her gaze. “Just joking.” Leerang’s heart couldn’t help but to beat faster when she accidentally glanced over and caught Lay staring. The girl was more than relieved by the fact that he was now wearing a shirt.

Chanyeol hadn’t said a single word during breakfast, an ordeal Leerang was bothered by as he was usually the one talking the most. Therefore did she, when everyone parted ways to get ready for the day, knock on his bedroom door. The girl wanted to make sure that everything was okay. “He’s not there.” surprised Leerang spun around, only to come face to face with Lay, who in turn took a step closer, “is something wrong?” instinctively did she shake her head, but the truth was different though, because the girl had no idea whether there was anything wrong. Only Chanyeol could answer that.

“Are you sure?” Lay wasn’t stupid, he could easily see the worry in her eyes. “Mm.” for the first time did she pay more attention to something else, “I’m going to look for him.” Lay didn’t like that, not at all actually. Chanyeol hadn’t been included in the plan and he hoped for dear life that Leerang wouldn’t grow feelings for the other male. For Kris to be involved was already bad enough.

Leerang met Jungah in the hallway downstairs, the other girl was desperately trying to come up with something they could do. An activity which didn’t require too much. “What should we do today? We’ve already been at the beach for several days in a row. Plus, there’s bound to be some amusement park or something here.” it would be weird considering how Busan was South Korea’s second largest city after Seoul. “I only know about an aquarium that’s supposed to be located somewhere here.” Leerang weren’t hundred percent certain though, “ask Lay, maybe he knows.” Jungah tilted her head to the side, even she felt there was something wrong, “are you really okay?” Leerang had been distracted all morning and she’d barely reacted to any of the questions being asked. Even Lay hadn’t been able to get the girl’s attention.

“Right, you should probably talk to Chanyeol. You know, after what happened and all.” no, she couldn’t remember a thing. Everything from that night was a total blank in Leerang’s memory, “what do you mean?” without a choice Jungah began to explain all the things that’d taken place, how the girl almost kissed Minhyun to how she destroyed Chanyeol’s shoes when puking on them. By the end of it was Leerang ashamed and awfully embarrassed. She couldn’t believe how reckless she’d acted.

“D -does anyone know?” it would be devastating if Lay found out. Therefore was she enormously relieved when Jungah shook her head, “no. I haven’t told anyone.” Leerang had no reason to celebrate completely though, not before she got to speak with Chanyeol, who was currently missing. “I’m going to look for Chanyeol.”

The older male wasn’t exactly hard to find, but the choice of place was rather amusing, especially since his tall frame looked absolutely ridiculous and his legs were dangling halfway down the slide. Leerang contemplated what to do next, as she was still flustered. The best would be to speak with him, so they could sort everything out. It was easier said than done though. But a voice within told her to get up there, because only then would the two of them get a chance to talk without being disturbed. With that in mind did she carefully climb up the small ladder. Her wish of getting by unnoticed vanished the second she knocked her head into the wooden panel, “ouch.” Chanyeol turned around, both surprised and worried, “what are you doing?” if she only knew herself, “I came here to say sorry.”

A minute or so later were the two of them sitting next to each other, their feet hanging down the slide, “Jungah told me what happened,” it was undoubtedly embarrassing talking about what’d taken place, but it was nonetheless important to get it out of the way, “your shoes, I never -.” the girl was cut short, “trust me, I’ve been through worse.” Chanyeol smiled as memories from the past came to mind. It wasn’t like he’d forgotten about how Lay used his jacket as a vomit bag after a whole night’s out a few years ago. “So you’re not mad at me?” for him to be upset at her was close to impossible, “no.” really, it was just a pair of shoes. “Ahh, what a relief. I actually thought you would be angry at me.” Leerang was being blunt again, something that seemed to happen more often around Chanyeol. “Still, I’m really sorry.”

All of a sudden did she hear him heave a deep sigh. “I don’t even know why I’m doing this.” Leerang was confused, she didn’t understand where he was going, “sorry?” his emotions were slowly getting to him, the nightclub was just another ordeal that confirmed the feelings he had for Leerang. The male was constantly worried of everything. His friends were capable of anything and Lay had made it quite clear what he wanted from Leerang.

“It’s getting too hard.” in the blink of an eye had he shifted his full attention to the younger girl, who froze in place when Chanyeol traced his finger along her neck, “does it hurt?” Leerang’s breathing hitched as she felt his skin make contact with the hickeys’ Kai and Sehun so nicely left behind, “no.” it was true, it didn’t hurt. A gasp emitted though, the moment he cupped her cheek and she gazed up to meet his eyes, “Chanyeol?”

The male was so close he could feel the puffs of air she breathed out ghost across his skin, “Chanye -.” she cut herself short after have watched him place a finger to his lips, as if to motion for her to keep silent, “close your eyes.” she couldn’t help but to question why, “just do it, please.” Leerang hesitated slightly before letting her eyelids flutter close. The wait was filled with anxiousness, more so since she didn’t know what he was up to, “Chanyeol, hurry.” Jungah was probably looking for her, curious to why she was taking so long. Seconds passed by just like that, without anything happening. “Chanyeol?” the girl was right about to open her eyes, thinking that he was only playing a prank, when a pair of soft lips collided with her own.

Leerang’s eyes flew open in disbelief, but she couldn’t move. It was simply too surreal, the whole situation were. The kiss however, was interrupted all too soon for Chanyeol’s liking, as Leerang’s friend disturbed them, “OH. MY. GOD.”

Chapter 72: Wow. Awesome story. Though I wonder whatever became of Leerang's mother? I bet she probably disowned Leerang for doing everything against her wishes. I'm glad that Leerang stayed with Kris and helped to get his life back on track. Great story.
