It’s Thursday and 5 Pieces is up to do a pre-recording early in the morning for next week’s music program. Both M Countdown and Music Bank will be pre-recorded for next week since the girls will be in Japan at those days, and that is why the girls are already up.

Hannah has found a new way to not have to talk to others; having big headphones covering her ears all the time. In the van, she is listening to music through the headphones; when leaving the van to the saloon she is listening to music, and even when she has fixed her hair she puts the headphones back on when she is in the van again. No one says anything about that until they reaches the music program and stylist Mi Young starts to complain right away when seeing the headphones on.

“How many times do I have to tell you that the headphones totally ruin the hair?” Mi Young complains and takes away the headphones to make sure the hairstyle hasn’t been ruined. “Lucky you, it isn’t ruined.”

“Sorry,” Hannah mumbles. Mi Young just taps her on the head, smiling and saying ‘no harm done’.

Shortly after, the girls go to the stage to prepare for the pre-recording. Fans have come after being told about the pre-recording for next week and 5 Pieces is warmly cheered on when they walk up on the stage. Hannah does her best to be calm. Everyone had asked her if she really should be performing, but with her psychologist’s help, she had convinced them to let her perform.

The pre-recording starts after that they have done a short rehearsal. Emelia pats Hannah on the back when taking their position, and just one look at each other Hannah mouths ‘I’m fine’ and Emelia coolly nods. You can still easily see that Emelia keeps an eye on Hannah, and she is proudly tapping the girl on the back again when the pre-recording comes to an end. Hannah had done well, just like the others. She bows to the audience when going backstage and on the way to their room they talk about what to eat later.

“How come whenever I meet you, you are talking about food?” FT Island’s charismatic leader Jonghun says when he pops up behind them and puts an arm around Carolina and Emelia, smirking at them.

Hannah is really happy that no one sees her give a sudden jump over his sudden appearance. She has reacted to every single sudden sound these days, going on her own nerves. Jonghun walks with the girls over to the room and chats with them on the way. Hannah is hugging Julia’s arm on the way, the two of them talking in low voices to each other. When they all reaches the room, Jonghun stops by the door and tells the girls they will see each other later – he also greets manager Lim who is there and the others in the room – before leaving.

“You have to change and fix your make-up,” Manager Lim tells the girls. “Then you have rehearsal and interview with something to eat between.”

The girls go to change and when they are done the room is pretty filled with talk. The current subject is driving licence.

“I’ll fix it when my schedule calms down,” Emelia says and puts in a snack in .

All five members are off the age to get a driving licence, but as other artists their schedule makes it a little hard to study and get the driving licence. Some of the girls are really interested in getting a driving licence, and both Julia and Emelia have planned to get it soon – though Emelia will start to have solo activities in Japan, she plans to get it after that. Hannah isn’t interested in what they are talking about but she is listening. When she is done changing and is ready, she sneaks out the room with Maria.

They are waiting for their rehearsal, so meanwhile they go around greeting other singers who have started to come. FT Island is happily greeting the girls when they drop by their room, and Hannah is awkwardly nodding when they asks her how she is doing – meaning about the anti fan attack. She is just quiet when the boys give their opinion about it, not believing how anyone could do something like that. Hannah wants to leave, or at least change the subject. The first one it is, since Emelia comes outside the room and happily greets the boy band before telling the girls their rehearsal is soon starting so they have to go to the stage.

When they are by the stage, waiting for their rehearsal to start, Hannah is looking down a lot. She is standing next to Emelia who is talking to Julia, now talking about the performance. Hannah jumps when something on the stage pops all of a sudden and she looks up in shock. She breathes when seeing it was just the staff dropping something.

“You should loosen up,” Emelia says. Of course she noticed how she jumped. Hannah pouts and is given a pat on the back by the rapper when heading up to the stage.

What everyone keeps worrying about is something that is far away from Hannah’s mind when they are doing the rehearsal; when they are on the stage, Hannah don’t think about the attack at all, though you can see it on her face all the other time. It’s like everything disappears on the stage, whether it’s rehearsal or live performance. She loves it, to be on the stage and not think about what she did before or what she will do after.

The rehearsal goes well, and the girls head off the stage where MBLAQ is waiting for their own rehearsal. Hannah almost walks in Maria when she stops, and the two groups exchanges some words with smiles before deciding to meet backstage later.

After eating some snacks, the girls sit down for a magazine interview. Even if it is for a magazine, the girls are just as talkative and strange as they would be in front of a filming camera. Beside from Hannah who doesn’t even laugh but just smiles weakly at everything. They are asked about their three most important things to bring with them when they go for a schedule. Hannah thinks a little about it when hearing the other members say their things. All of them say cell phones, since their manager keeps them reminded to have it with them all the time. When Carolina says she always has a book to read with her, the other members disagree.

“For me…” Hannah says when it is her turn. “Beside from cell phone, I always have my IPod and also a dictionary.”

“But she uses the dictionary less and less,” Emelia says with a nod. Hannah nods too, not saying against or disagreeing. Maria looks a little sad when she doesn’t hear Hannah whine today either.

Later, when Hannah is sitting with her laptop again in the waiting room, Carolina says her name. Hannah doesn’t look up, but she asks what it is. Carolina giggles and says her name again and Hannah glances up. Carolina is filming with their manager’s camera, the one for the group’s ‘Real 5 Pieces’ program on the internet. Hannah simply gives a wave to the camera filming, pretty aware of that her hand covers most of her face when she does that, and she returns to look at her laptop. Carolina films herself again, pouting when telling the camera that they have to find someone who is bored – lucky her, both Julia and Maria comes up and jokes around and have fun. When the camera is focusing further away, Maria grabs Hannah’s hand to make them join her and in the end all five members are fooling around in front of the filming camera.

Two days later, 5 Pieces is at another music program. For three days in a row they have been chatting and joking around with mostly FT Island and MBLAQ backstage; Brian Joo has also joined them once in a while when he hasn’t been busy.

Hannah has gotten more like usual too, though she still jumps over any sudden noise. She doesn’t whine, instead she is quiet and lets it go, like her temper has changed. Her members knows that she is like that when she is upset, something that will go by, but still they know it’s different since she isn’t just upset over a small thing, she is upset over what happened with the anti fans. And it irritates them that their youngest isn’t smiling and whining like usual.

“Hannah.”

She looks up from her IPod when hearing her name being said and the seat next to hers in the sofa is put down when Honggi sits down. Minhwan had just left that seat, so when someone came over she thought it was just him coming back. Honggi glances at the others and Hannah looks too, seeing how Maria is laughing and loudly explaining something with Emelia’s interruptions and Jonghun’s laughing. Everyone seems to be listening too in the room, so Honggi turns back to look at Hannah.

“The first drama meet is on Monday,” Honggi mentions and he gives a small smile after saying it. Hannah simply nods. “And I wanted to talk to you before that.”

Hannah doesn’t nod, just looking blankly at him to wait for what he has to say. Honggi glances towards the others again and sits a little closer to her, as if they are going to talk secrets.

“Ever since… No, you have been treating me differently for a while,” Honggi says, and he do know the reason. “I know the reason and everything but … but we will be in the same drama. And I don’t want it to be awkward between us.”

Hannah nods, but Honggi waits for her to say something. The look on his face is waiting, and she knows it. She asks him ‘what’ and Honggi asks what she has to say.

“I don’t know what to say,” Hannah answers, looking at the others in the room. Honggi sighs and sits down straight in the sofa, slightly pouting and staring out at the others. Not many minutes passes before Seunghyun chuckles and asks why the two of them are sitting and looking down when the rest of the room is smiling. From the other’s point of view, Hannah and Honggi really look like they have been fighting since both of them are looking sad, being the only two sitting in the sofa. But it is for different reasons. Hannah has the same face expression she has had for some days, being in her own thoughts, while Honggi is a little angry at Hannah’s poor help with their friendship.

“What are they doing…?” even MBLAQ’s GO notices when he comes inside the room.

“Pouting competition,” Emelia answers with a chuckle. Everyone is actually having fun at the two quiet ones in the sofa; just looking at them makes the others smile.

Hannah leaves a few minutes later, going back to 5 Pieces’ room. Even the stylists have gone to chat with someone, so it’s quiet in there compared to the other rooms. It feels good to sit down in the sofa there, pull one of the usual small blankets over her legs and listen to the music on her IPod. It’s calming for some reason. She didn’t even know her heart was beating so fast when she walked back to the room until she sits down in the sofa.

She picks up her cell phone from the bag on a chair next to where she is sitting, looking at her latest text from Jonghyun. She keeps pouting like her bad habit when writing a new text to him, barely finishing it before someone knocks on the open door.

“Can I talk now?” Honggi asks by the door, stepping inside.

Hannah nods and finishes her writing and sends the text before she looks up at him. He doesn’t come to sit down; he stands there at first and looks at her. For some reason, she thinks he wants her to talk first. But she doesn’t feel like she is in the mood or have the strength to have a long conversation with him. She wants to go home and sleep, or go home and just cry. She is terrified since the anti fan attack, that something like that will happen again. Just walking in the corridor made her think that something might happen, that someone can pop up and pull her away by the hair.

“I’m sorry,” Hannah says. She gets a text, but she doesn’t look at it since Honggi is there. “I’m sorry for treating you badly and ignoring you, and for not talking. But Honggi … you seriously aren’t good with timing.”

“Why not?” Honggi asks. “You mean what happened the other day? I know its bad timing, but when can I talk to you about the drama if not now? It’s my chance at the music program, and since I won’t have time tomorrow I thought today would be good.”

“It’s nothing to talk about,” Hannah sighs. “We will act in the same drama, and just the acting will be awkward for me since it is my first time in Korea.”

“It’s not the acting I’m worried about,” Honggi mutters.

“I know. But if you know me, Honggi, you should know that my mood changes,” Hannah tells him. She is really not in the mood. It gets quiet for some seconds before Honggi hears the others starting to come back.

“It won’t be awkward, okay?” he tries.

“It won’t be awkward,” Hannah promises. With just coming a little forward in the conversation, Honggi has to give up because the others come to the room and he leaves.

Hannah looks at the text she got, ignoring Maria’s curious question of what Honggi came over to say. The text from Jonghyun would normally make her smile, but now she only smiles on the inside. Until they go for their performance, 5 Pieces stays in their room where they look at the other performances on the screen, chats and prepares. And just before they will head to the stage, Hannah asks her members if Jonghyun can come by later at the apartment.

“What for?” Maria suspects something right away. “You can’t talk to me anymore?” She has her typical I-am-your-best-friend-not-him jealousy that makes Hannah feel bad and she hugs the leader.

“I do talk to you,” she says.

“So you say…” Maria pouts. Hannah keeps hugging her, saying ‘please’ and ‘please’ so Maria ends up smiling and embraces her in a hug too. “Finally my whiny baby is back.” Hannah hits her on the arm when leaning away, pouting. “Of course he can come – as long as Appa doesn’t find out.”

Hannah nods and they glance at Manager Lim who doesn’t notice anything.

“Hi,” Jonghyun smiles when Hannah opens the door to the apartment. She shows a weak smile back, letting him come inside. Carolina and Emelia are at one radio and Maria is at another, while Julia is in the living-room, watching TV and playing with Ace. Jonghyun stumbles over the shoes in the hall and Hannah apologizes, pushing the shoes to the side with her foot to make a path in to the apartment. Jonghyun hangs up his jacket in the hall before he takes her hand in his when they walk inside the apartment. He greets Julia when they pass the living-room; Hannah saying a few words to her member before they walk over to Hannah’s room.

“How is it?” Jonghyun asks when the door closes behind them. He puts his arms around her in a hug, giving her a peck on the cheek. He wanted to come over to release some stress from all the practice and recording, and by hugging her he can relax. Though she has things to talk about and he wants to share some too, it’s relaxing to be with her.

“I’m going crazy,” Hannah sighs against his chest, holding her arms around him too. “I can’t even walk through a corridor without my heart beats extra fast.”

Jonghyun tells her it will get better, hushing her quietly when hearing she starts to cry. The tears she has hold in for the days, that has kept her unable to laugh in fear it will turn into cry without her realising it, comes out now and even if she tries to hide it from Jonghyun, of course he notices. She cries on his chest, hearing his whisper and breathe in her ear to tell her it will get better. Minutes passes with them standing there in each other’s arms. Hannah apologizes for crying, leaning back with her head low to wipe away the tears from her face. Jonghyun still hugs her, smiling when giving her a peck on the cheek again.

“Do you want to hear about my day?” he whispers, pretty sure that she would get awkward otherwise. He smiles when seeing the corner of go up a little and he hugs her tighter to start tell her about his day.
