Right after the Golden Disk Awards in Japan, 5 Pieces heads back to Korea. When they are leaving the airport they are asked if they want to go home and sleep or practice. After a second thought, they go to practice. The girls know they are tired after travelling, but they were able to sleep some in Japan and they know they still need to practice for their new song. They will have their comeback pre-recording in the morning, and because they have been busy for the last three days, they spend the night going through the song to make sure they won’t make fool of themselves on the stage.

Being in Japan was fun. The girls were again able to meet some friends that aren’t currently active; and Hannah somehow managed to hide from Honggi like she did around New Year. At Golden Disk she had somehow managed to be very invincible for a lot of people, just because she didn’t want to meet Honggi. She still doesn’t know how things are between them, so she decided to not talk to him about it either.

The practice is hard. The choreography is tougher than the one they have had for the latest songs, so the girls thinks they have gotten very soft on that part. Though they went through a whole concert covered in sweat, performing just one song is still hard. Especially if you repeat it fifty times in the middle of the night.

They get two hours sleep when coming home before they have to leave. In their performance outfits, hair and make-up, 5 Pieces arrives at Music Bank for their pre-recording. Today the girls are all wearing baggy pants; Hannah has a pair of leopard print baggy pants in brown, while Carolina has the same pair in black. Hannah is also wearing a light beige coloured long-sleeved shirt that sits loose on her body. They have put up locks of her hair in hair-slides, but most of the hair is still hanging down. Because this outfit isn’t revealing like it was in [I Love You] and [One and Only], Hannah feels really comfortable in it.

Fans have gathered as the audience for the pre-recording and when 5 Pieces get visibly next to the stage it gets really loud. Most of them were probably just surprised that 5 Pieces will make a comeback so soon, since they have been very active for half a year already.

The group has their headsets microphones on when they walks up on the prepared stage and on Maria’s command they greets their fans with a bow and group introduction.

“Are you sleepy?” Carolina asks the fans in a cute and funny voice. She is received a glad cheer from the fans while she receives a punch on the arm from Emelia. Hannah gives a laugh, holding her hand over the microphone as she doesn’t want her voice to echo.

While waiting for the pre-recording to start, the girls go through some of the choreography together. The fans screams when hearing them sing without the music, just to know where in the song they are. Some even sings along to that part. Julia makes a mistake in the choreography almost right away, but the second time she doesn’t do the same mistake.

The pre-recording then starts. The girls are seriously dancing to the song while singing. The first time they do the pre-recording (they films it two times), Hannah almost slips when she does her first part. When turning around a second after that, she smiles when meeting Emelia’s eyes who had seen her slipping. But the pre-recording goes well, and they have the night’s practice to thank that for. Without the practice they would have made so many mistakes, so they are happy they made the decision to practice.

“5 Pieces has released a new single!” Maria cheers and the girls all together clap their hands in celebration. It is probably their tenth or eleventh interview for the day, so Hannah probably looks a little bored when clapping her hands. She lowers her head, hiding behind her clapping hands the yawn she couldn’t help to do. “Though we not long ago ended our promotions with our repacked album, 5 Pieces has already released a new single,” Maria says in a happy voice and turns to her members who happily claps their hands again. Though Hannah just yawned, she is still excited about the interview and follows along with the atmosphere.

“[Switch] is a song about a woman who is disappointed at her boyfriend,” Carolina starts to answer the next question. “So she tells him that she will [Switch].”

“*To someone who can prove it, he will only have his eyes on me*,” the others start to sing a part of the chorus. They hadn’t really planned to do that, but its fun how they ended up doing it. They start to talk about the dance too, and Emelia gets to show some of the addictive part of the choreography. Because the song is about a relationship, the interviewer asks if they have a lot of experience in that subject. Of course the girls say they don’t, so the interviewer mentions that Julia is filming We Got Married. Right away the girls start to playfully giggle; teasing Julia about it like they did half a year ago when it started.

“What do the members think of your husband?”

Hannah looks at her members with a smile to hear what the answer will be while Julia looks very nervous. “I think they like him. He is very kind and…” Julia starts to answer but gets quiet when Maria says something.

“Julia is always boasting about the things he does for her,” Maria sounds like she is complaining. “I think she likes when we get jealous of her being on We Got Married.”

They don’t say much more about it, and changes subject to talk about Ideal Types. Hannah thinks while the others are answering and when her turn comes, Emelia says that Hannah likes younger boys. Hannah quickly says that is not true – though she do admit that she thinks boys who look young are cute.

“I actually like the bad boy style,” Hannah says but the members give a sound that they don’t agree. “No, it’s true. I really like a guy who looks good in a leather jacket, and looks to be a bad boy, but on the inside is really nice and caring.”

Now, the other members seem to agree, but it is still a little doubtful.

“Last year, we went to another country with other artists. And DBSK’s Changmin was wearing a leather jacket; Hannah couldn’t stop looking!” Julia reveals and Hannah laughs.

“But there are a lot of guys who looks good in a leather jacket,” the interviewer mentions and asks if there anything she looks for in a guy. Hannah looks at her members for help, and Maria mentions that Hannah often likes guys that resemble herself at some parts, like they can have the same hobby or something in common. Hannah looks confused by that, but Maria keeps on by saying that Hannah is naturally y – and she likes y guys. The whole group bursts out laughing and when Maria says ‘and’ to keep talking, Hannah hurries over to her to cover and tell her to not say anything more.

Laughing, they go on with the interview, followed up by another interview. While Carolina starts to answer a question, Julia leans towards Hannah and the two of them quietly starts to sing a part of their new song. Hannah can’t stop smiling at it and she laughs when Carolina tells them to be quiet.

“Just finish answers the question,” Maria tells her.

Carolina starts to answer the question anew and right away, Julia and Hannah keep singing the song in really low voices. They both laughs when Carolina stands up and Hannah leans back with a smile at Carolina, giggling as they are just fooling around with her like always. Carolina sits down again after apologizing to the staff about her member’s childish behaviour, which causes the members to scoff and say they aren’t childish. They are childish.

“5 Pieces had their first concert last week…” the interviewer mentions and the girls are all smiling.

“We had,” Maria smiles.

“It was the best experience of 2012 so far,” Carolina says and the members all say that only a week of the year had passed when they had the concert. “It was still the best experience,” Carolina says.

“We performed a lot of songs that we haven’t performed in a while and songs we haven’t performed at all,” Julia says and Hannah is nodding next to her. Emelia finishes for her: “and our fans were amazing for every song.”

“It really was fun,” Maria nods. “Though we got exhausted, we didn’t want the concert to come to an end.”

“Is that why you cried at the end?” the interviewer asks and it gets quiet. Hannah smiles and lowers her head, knowing she cried at the end of the concerts.

“That we cried at the end of the concert was for many reasons,” Maria starts to answer. “To stand on the stage and know that all those people came to watch us was really… it touched us deeply. While coming to the end of the concert, we all started to remember everything we have gone through with our fans, and I think our tears were just our way to show just how happy we are to be able to perform so many songs in front of our fans.”

“The purple sea was really beautiful,” Carolina mentions.

For the next interview they are asked about [I Love You], since the group have made a comeback with a charismatic song the interviewer is curious how 5 Pieces feels about the differences in [I Love You] and [Switch] performances.

“I don’t know if we were just not used to the cute concept we had, but we were really awkward when performing [I Love You],” Maria answers and the members all agrees. “It was really weird to see each other act cute during a performance, and though months passed, whenever we perform a cute song we are still very awkward. My fingers curl up when I see the members singing cutely on stage.”

“It’s not that we don’t act cute from time to time, it is just that on stage we have always had this charismatic image while when we aren’t on stage we are more however we feel like being,” Emelia explains. “We are more comfortable performing songs like [Switch] compared to songs like [I Love You].”

“But both are fun to perform.” Julia quickly adds and Carolina also says; “We have really fun on stage, whether it’s a cute performance or a cool one, but when we were performing [I Love You] it was really strange seeing like Emelia awkwardly be cute.”

“Honestly, when we first were practicing for [I Love You], we couldn’t look at each other without feeling the awkwardness,” Maria says and shakes her head by the memory. All of them agrees on that their most awkward song is just [I Love You], because of the concept of it and how they had to be on stage. they say they are happy that their fans still liked it and they even apologizes for the awkwardness they showed with the cute concept.

After finishing the fifteenth interview for the day, 5 Pieces go back to their dressing-room. It doesn’t take long until juniors’ starts to come and greet them, and the girls’ laughs when MBLAQ comes as well. Though MBLAQ by now greets them more like friends, they are playfully greeting 5 Pieces like respectful juniors now because they saw Teen Top greeting the girls so cutely and respectfully. GO is fast to tease Maria for that dorky smile in her face that she had when Teen Top came.

“But they are so cute!” Maria defends herself, sounding like an older woman.

Much later, still backstage, Manager Lim returns to the dressing-room after taking a call. “Why are you always in here?” he asks Mir, who even now have stopped by 5 Pieces’ dressing-room. He smiles brightly at the manager, saying that Maria promised him something good to eat.

“Ya, you think I would give away our food?” Maria asks him.

But Mir is still there, and it makes their manager smile and shakes his head. Though Manager Lim wasn’t in Japan with them, MBLAQ’s manager told him that Mir stopped by all the time. And he always seemed to be around during the music festivals around New Year too.

Visiting 5 Pieces backstage is also Maria’s sisters, who have spent the week going on sight-seeing in Seoul. When they come backstage it is a lot of talk about what they have been doing during the week, and what they have seen and everything else. They are going back to Sweden tomorrow, so when they have time they all eat dinner together backstage in the room. Real Korean food. Maria doesn’t want Music Bank to end because afterwards 5 Pieces have a schedule, so this is the last time she can see her sisters before they go back to Sweden. Hannah hugs them all when they are parting, everyone promising they will go out and have fun next time they are in the same city. Since Maria’s whole family is very friendly and easy to get along with, her sisters are very close to the members in the group.

Manager Kim had dropped by with a paper for Hannah, saying she maybe should think about going for the audition mentioned on the paper until they meet the next time. The audition is for an up-coming drama in Korea, and SM Entertainment have plans of letting Hannah make her Korean acting debut if not this year, next year, so they have started to look through the up-coming drama auditions. Because Hannah’s acting in Japan gave 5 Pieces a lot of popularity in a country they at that time never had been too, they thinks it is a good chance to raise the popularity in Korea as well.

For a while, manager Kim has been coming by time to time with a paper for a new drama’s audition. Hannah has only gone to a few of them. Emelia has also gone to a few, though she has been focusing more on the Japanese market, since she has more interest there and SM wants her to raise her popularity. Julia has only gone to two auditions, as their teacher had told her she wasn’t ready for it yet.

Hannah is lying in her bed that night after coming back from their schedule. She is reading through the audition paper. The storyline is interesting, and it is about music too. Just by reading that, Hannah gets interested in it. So she will ask her manager about it the next day about going for the audition.

5 Pieces is fast to sleep that night. Their first comeback performance went well, and after doing well this week they feel very proud over themselves that they have no trouble to go to sleep.
