Jonghyun is getting something more to drink by the prepared bar at the Christmas party. He is having a great time with friends, drinking, chatting and dancing. He is pretty sure that the person that has made Hannah dance so much is Maria, and he is very impressed with that.

“Yo,” FT Island’s Seunghyun comes up next to him.

“Yo,” Jonghyun says back.

“Doesn’t it feel weird to be here when both Honggi and Hannah are here?” Seunghyun wonders.

“What do you mean?” Jonghyun chuckles, looking at him with a smile, not really understanding what he is talking about.

“Well they did kiss just a few days ago. If it was my girlfriend and friend, I would be pissed off,” Seunghyun gives a laugh too. He looks at Jonghyun and sees that Jonghyun’s face has gone blank and he is looking at Seunghyun as if he just said the strangest thing. “Ah … ah, they haven’t told you? That’s not good…” Seunghyun looks around. “Forget what I said then.”

He then walks off and Jonghyun keeps looking after him with a huge question-mark in his face. He then looks around himself before walking away. He keeps looking after someone. He sees Emelia not far away and hurries up to her.

“EM,” Jonghyun says when coming up to her. She looks up, asking ‘what’ in her dark voice. “Did Honggi and Hannah kiss a few days ago?”

“…” Emelia is quietly looking at his expression and doesn’t say anything until he tells her to answer. “Depends …” she answers and he wonders what it depends on. “Who told you that?”

“So it’s true?” Jonghyun looks surprised.

“I didn’t say that. Ya, Jonghyun!” Emelia gets up when Jonghyun hurries away.

It isn’t hard for him to find Honggi sitting somewhere, drinking with a few members from B2ST and others. Jonghyun grabs Honggi by the collar and leans down to his ear, almost growling for Honggi to step outside with him.

The moment they steps out the door, Jonghyun pushes Honggi on the chest. “You kissed her?!” he screams. Honggi gives a smirk.

“She liked it,” he answers.

Jonghyun punches him with his fist, furious. Honggi takes a step back over the punch but then takes a step forward to throws his own fist at Jonghyun. They don’t get to hit each other many times before Emelia comes with both Hannah and Maria. The three girls get a shock when seeing them and Hannah runs between them to push them away from each other.

“What are you doing?!” Hannah almost gives a cry when asking them.

“You kissed!” Jonghyun screams and takes away Hannah’s hand from holding Honggi away, just so she won’t touch him. Hannah looks almost terrified by those words and she takes a step closer to Jonghyun, holding on to his arms.

“Let’s go,” she tells him.

“Why did you kiss him?!” Jonghyun is still furious.

“I didn’t kiss him!” Hannah cries out. “He kissed me.”

Jonghyun grimaces, getting more furious and if Hannah wasn’t holding on to him he would have punched Honggi again. Seunghyun comes out, and he looks a little confused when sensing the atmosphere.

“Let’s go,” Hannah repeats to Jonghyun and pushes him away. She looks behind her at Emelia and Maria who both stays with Honggi. She knows he will be scolded by them once she has left, but she doesn’t care. She walks away with Jonghyun, pulling his arm. Not until they are far enough so the others can’t hear, Jonghyun speaks.

“What’s going on?” he asks and stops his steps. Hannah turns around. “What’s going on between you and Honggi?”

“Nothing,” Hannah sounds helpless. She takes a step closer to him, holding on to his hand. “Jonghyun, it’s nothing going on between us.”

“He kissed you!” Jonghyun bursts out and takes away her hand, close to crying. “And you didn’t tell me about it, Hannah. How do you think that makes me feel? He f**king kissed you!”

“I’m sorry!” Hannah cries and holds on to his shirt. “I’m sorry, Jonghyun.”

He looks at her, his eyes and face filled with disappointment and anger. Hannah looks so sad when looking at him that it somehow makes him feel bad. But he thinks she is stupid. Everyone knows that Honggi likes her, and she is an idiot to keep forgiving him for all the mistakes he makes. She is always forgiving him over exactly everything, no matter how many times he makes her angry when saying he still likes her and all that, she still forgives him and says they can be friends. Jonghyun is irritated at that. And Honggi is an idiot too.

“Why are you so naive?” Jonghyun asks her in a low voice and puts his hands on her cheeks. “Why are you so stupid at times?”

“I’m sorry,” Hannah repeats sadly, putting her hands on his. He then takes his hands down.

“And I can’t be angry at you. I wonder how it happened; if you pushed him away, why you are so stupid to forgive him even if I know like exactly everyone else that Honggi is a good friend to you. The two of you were great friends before the two of us-”

“Stop,” Hannah whispers, seeing how he starts to cry while pondering. “Don’t talk like that.”

“It’s because I know you love Honggi,” Jonghyun tells her, still crying and still pondering and Hannah tells him to stop again.

“I love you,” Hannah tells him with a specific sound on ‘you’. She puts a hand just between his shoulder and neck. “Jonghyun, please.”

“I love you, Hannah,” he says and puts his hands on her waist. “I truly, deeply love you. And I know you love Honggi too - don’t interrupt me – and because I know how naïve you are, I can’t stop worrying. And I do have a reason for worrying, you know that. But still … I’m not worried about us. It’s you I’m worried about.”

Hannah smiles when hearing him say he isn’t worried about the two of them. She moves her hand some inches to his neck, her fingertips feeling the tip of his hair and closes in to kiss him. When their lips touch they both close their eyes, they deepen the kiss, holding on to each other. Hannah feels really grateful to have Jonghyun there, but she feels so bad for making him say he worries about her.

The next day, the girls don’t have much of a schedule. Though they had been out partying during the night, they are still awake and in the van on the way to practice at eight in the morning. None of them drank too much at the party – though Hannah did drink a lot, she drank even more water when she came home – so none of them have such a difficult hangover beside from that they are extremely tired.

5 Pieces spends the day practicing and preparing for the New Year End Festivals. It is three of them, so they need to prepare different things for all three of them. The songs they will perform on all three are their songs [I Love You] and [One and Only]. On the second day they will also perform [Come On Over] by Christina Aguilera, so during the day the girls visit the recording studio to record parts of the song to make it their version.

They have to practice lyrics, choreography, changes, special things and all that. Their stylists are working hard on the clothes too. It is at least seven outfits that have to be prepared, and since it is five members it is thirty-five different outfits. Poor stylists, Carolina said and then Emelia made it worse by asking what it would be to fix the outfits for their concert then. Carolina wanted to cry by the thought of how much work it must take to come up with all the cool outfits for them.

They practices until late. The remixes of their own songs as well as the covers they will perform. They are sweaty and tired, and even if Carolina leaves for her radio she returns after it to end the practice with them.

Hannah falls down on the floor, covered in sweat and so tired that her legs are almost shaking. The tank top she is wearing is uncomfortably glued on her body because of the sweat. Julia is lying on the floor too, holding a bottle of cold water to her neck and then she moves it to her forehead. The practice room is really hot from the whole day’s practice and the girls are really exhausted.

They wrap up in the practice-room and heads back home to sleep.

Early in the morning they are up again.

All five members goes for a concert video filming, fixing make-up, amazing and cool outfits that all of them falls in love in. The concept is pirates, so they have like layers of clothes with fabric and lacings hanging; it is a concept that reminds of their debut concept for [Moon Child]. Emelia had personally asked for the custom-made thigh-high boots in black. She is very proud over them that she takes several photos of them. Maria also loves her Captain hat. She says the more class the hat has the more power the captain has – Emelia says it is the size of it though.

The filming takes part of what is supposed to look like a ship. For the girls it looks like parts of a ship, but in the concert video it will look like a real ship. They are in a hurry with the filming, but the staff is impressed with how calm the girls are. They aren’t slow, they are just calm. That is really good because it is easy to panic when you are in a hurry.

A little before they finish the filming, Hannah has to leave. They made sure she finished filming her parts first so she can leave in time for the appointment for her monthly hospital check-up.

“You must be under a lot of stress this last week of the year,” the doctor says while doing the check-up. Hannah nods.

“There are a lot of things to learn for the Music Festivals,” Hannah answers. “And we are also preparing for our concert.”

“Yes, I know that. My niece lined up for hours to just get a ticket,” her doctor says with a smile at her. “It must be very exciting.”

Hannah nods again. She is always nervous when she is doing the check-ups, but for some reason she is very relaxed when she is at the hospital. Something about the environment and atmosphere makes her body feel relaxed. The check-up goes very well, there are no problems at all; beside from when they comes to her weight.

“You have lost 5kg since last time you were here,” the doctor looks concerned when saying it. “That’s not good.”

He walks over to his papers while Hannah sits down. He looks though some things before talking again. “That you have lost 5kg in just a month can have something to do with the stress about New Year and the concert,” he says. “You can’t skip any meals, and I would recommend you to gain some weight again. Not much, just those 5kg again so you won’t be put in any healthy risks because of your weight.”

Hannah just nods and when he asks her if she understand what he means she nods again. It’s not like she had planned to loose more weight, she just has been very busy lately with everything and when she is busy she doesn’t get time to always eat. That’s more of an excuse, because the other members are eating all the time and their schedule is mostly the same. She just doesn’t want to gain weight and get bad habits that she gets addicted to one specific food so she has to eat all the time – it has happened before.

Hannah finishes her visit at the hospital and heads to the agency for more practice. Julia and Carolina are still filming for the concert, but not for the same kind of video the group filmed before. This will be a different one, like the other three members filmed last week.

When Hannah comes to the practice room she sees that SHINee is also there with Emelia and Maria. She looks a little confused to see them there, and she definitely looks like she is about to walk out the room to see if she has come right.

“We will perform together on Saturday,” Onew says with a bright smile and he gives the thumb up to Hannah who looks like a question-mark.

“On MBC Music Festival, we will do a dance performance together,” Maria explains and points from the boys to the girls which means SHINee and 5 Pieces. “They were supposed to do it alone at first, but they though it would look hotter if we did it together. And these kids haven’t performed in Korea the whole year, so they could need some support.”

“Ya, who do you call kids?” Key asks.

“You.”

“You are younger than us,” Minho joins in.

“He is younger than us,” Maria points at Taemin who looks up when being brought in the subject.

“But you are more childish than us,” Key tells Maria and when she is about to say something he quickly covers his ears and starts to sing/say “I can’t hear you, I can’t hear you!”

“THAT’S CHILDISH!” Maria screams at him so he will hear even if he makes noise and covers his ears. While the two divas of each group are… childish divas, Hannah sits down next to Jonghyun who takes his arm up for her to sit. Among them sits also a woman, a choreographer. She will help the group with the choreography for the performance.

“We have a problem though,” the choreographer mentions after that Key and Maria have stopped. She points at Hannah and Jonghyun. “You two can’t dance together.”

“Why not?” Jonghyun smiles, though everyone knows the reason.

“So we won’t get to dance?” Hannah asks who doesn’t understand what the choreographer means.

“It’s a couple dance,” Emelia tells.

“Ah…” That says it all for Hannah. What the choreographer means is that Hannah and Jonghyun can’t be a couple dancer, so they have to dance with another member.

“I think Hannah will get jealous if Jonghyun dances with someone else,” Minho jokes. Hannah grimaces at him and looks at Jonghyun who just keeps smiling. Jonghyun takes Hannah’s hand and Hannah holds on to it and listens to the others talking.

“Before Hannah came, we were drawing lots on the couples,” the choreographer says for Hannah to keep up. “But that didn’t work since Jonghyun picked up Hannah’s name… So we are now waiting for your manager to come back and tell us who the higher people have chosen to be couple. While waiting, we will go through what we have decided so far.”

The song they will perform is [It Girl] by Jason Derulo. Some of the choreography are from the original song while most of it will be made by them or have a slight change from the original. Hannah is actually looking forward to dance with SHINee, whether it’s Jonghyun or another member. She thinks it will be fun.

SHINee’s manager returns to the practice room and everyone gets quiet to hear what he has to say.

“There are two different couple orders,” the manager says and looks at his note. He then decides to write it on the whiteboard instead for them to remember better.

He writes ‘Maria + Key –– Emelia + Taemin –– Carolina + Onew –– Julia + Minho –– Hannah + Jonghyun’

A little lower down he writes the second order of couples ‘Carolina + Key –– Hannah + Taemin –– Emelia + Onew –– Maria + Minho –– Julia + Jonghyun’

Everyone is reading through the couples and Hannah is very surprised to see that she is coupled with Jonghyun on the first one. She asks about it and the manager explains that the public doesn’t know anything about them, and since it is just a dance it wouldn’t start any rumours.

“I choose Minho,” Maria says and crosses her arms over her chest, as if nothing can stop her.

“Why?” Minho chuckles next to her, copying her with his arms.

“I can’t dance too close to Kibum,” Maria simply answers.

“Woa … and that comes from the biggest diva among us,” Key jokes with her. They mean they both want the spotlight, so dancing together is rather impossible. The manager actually agrees, but it wasn’t he who decided the couples. Maria and Key are soul mates, but they are both divas.

They all keep talking about the chosen couples. Taemin says it doesn’t matter for him who he dances with, just like everyone else says. Since they are all friends, it is just the divas who are picky. Maria will probably drool by dancing with Minho and Hannah can see how she even now is dreaming away about it. She knows that Maria is probably thinking ‘his y legs’ or something.

“Then we’ll take the second choice,” the choreography ends up saying after a lot of talk and decisions. “I think that would work better.”
