Months passed. The friendship between Jongin and Mina wasn't really the same anymore. On the outside it looks fine. They still talk to each other, have laughs together, still make each other laugh. However, on the inside, they're friendship is broken. They don't text each other anymore. They don't hug each other anymore. They don't hangout unless it's a friend and family gathering. There was no way they could avoid each other. They're parents were pretty much best friends. Jiyeon, Jongdae, Suzy and Chanyeol did everything to cheer her up. They were well aware what was happening between to two, but all were still stumped on why Jongin never officially rejected Mina.

Before anyone noticed. It was summer again. Mina had successfully completed her first year of college. Jongin has graduated from high school. Unlike Mina, he would be attending a university outside of the city. Mina was releived yet sad at the same time. Relieved that her and Jongin wouldn't be attending the same school. Sad, because Jongin was actually leaving the city. The only time she would see him would be when he comes home on weekends. Something that also bothered Mina was since he was going to a new school which meant, new people. She was predicting that Jongin would meet a “special girl.” Mina felt like she needed to move on from Jongin before that happens.

The families have planned another beach trip. The group of friends were excited. Last year's outing was fun and were ready to make this one the best yet. Mina was excited, yet anxious. She didn't know what to except with Jongin. A part of her wants her to just avoid the subject, but another part of wants to finally confront Jongin about what happened on that Valentine's day. It would be a good time since they'll be stuck in a house together for 1 week. It's good timing.

The families arrived at the shore house bright and early. This year, they rented a bigger house. Again, the kids would stay together in the family room while each of the parents received their own rooms. The backyard was literally the beach. The first three days were filled with fun times, going to the beach, going on the boardwalk, eating. Just living together, everyone had the best time. Mina momentarily set her dilemma and had fun.

It was the end of day 3 and everyone was tired. It seemed that the dads the most fun that night as hung out on the patio of the house drinking until close to 2AM. As all the parents went to their rooms, the kids were already in their sleeping places.

Sleeping arrangment:

Chanyeol had a couch to himself,

Suzy and Jongdae shared a couch together

Jiyeon, Doyeon (Jiyeon's little sister) Mina, Soojin, Woohyun and Jongin occupied the floor with 3 air mattresses.

They just finished watching a random scary movie and were just talking about the movie and any random topics while laying in the dark. In the amidst of the talking, suddenly they heard......

-knock knock-

The kids grew silence.

“What was that?” Chanyeol sat up and looked around.

It was quiet for awhile until...

-knock knock-

“Haha maybe it's killer from the movie” Woohyun joked

“shut up woohyun!” Soojin smacked him with her pillow.
