~ Shut Up ang Run ~

After all these years, the boy who stood up for you, who cared for you, and gave you the necklace was just right in front of you. You never would have thought that it would be Jungkook though looking at him now, you can see the resemblance.

Your heart began to race as you blankly stared at him without even knowing. The moment of silence just made the sounds of the wind easily heard as it passes by the two of you.

Jungkook suddenly smiled as he looked over his shoulder with his eye towards the street, “Get up,” he demanded as he stood up from his position.

“Why?”

He pulled you up from the sand then pointed at the ice cream stand up ahead, “Let’s eat some.”

“Hey kids, what kind of ice cream do you want?” the vendor questioned.

“Chocolate,” the two of you said in unison. You thought it was a little bizarre that both of you picked the same type of flavor and said it at the same time but the two of you just looked at each other, giggling.

“Here you go, two chocolate ice creams for the young couple,” the vendor smiled as he gave you and Jungkook the ice cream.

Jungkook’s eyes suddenly shot wide, “We’re not dating,” he retorted, shaking his hand at the vendor.

“Oh really? I apologize, but you two do look good together,” he smiled once more.

The two of you sat down on a nearby bench, quietly as you eat your ice cream.

There were no words, only the sounds of breathing and the distance voices of young children playing around. It was peaceful. No disturbance, no large amount of people around you, and no parents.

“Hey, Ji Hyun?” he said as he turned his head, facing you.

Also turning your head, you couldn’t help but giggle at his image right now. He had a smear of chocolate ice cream on his cheek. “Do you not know where your mouth is?” you laughed.

The boy was confused, “What?”

You pointed at your own cheek, “Right here.”

“Here?”

Shaking your head, you continued to smile at him, “Here,” reaching your hand out, you touched his sticky cheek, trying to smear off the ice cream.

When the smudge was finally off his face he swiftly grabbed your hand that you used to smear off the chocolate and yanked it making you fall forward, your lips aiming for his. Your heart began to beat faster the moment your lips touched his.

You couldn’t help but close your eyes, you wanted this feeling to last longer.

Jungkook pulled away. Immediately, you shifted so that your face won’t be facing his right now. Your heart was still beating faster than before and you can tell your face must be red like a tomato. Did that just really happen?

Jungkook grinned, “You’re an idiot, and you know that right?”

You instantly turned your head, feeling a little insulted. “Excuse me?”

The boy laughed, “Never mind,” he retorted as he leaned back on the bench.
