Yuri's eyes fluttered open, her hands moving around to find the person she was looking for beside her. She felt nothing but an empty space and immediately bolted up. “Taeyeon-ah!” Yuri called out, keeping her eyes closed sleepily. She was sure Taeyeon was somewhere in the house anyway.

“Taeyeon-ah!”

Hearing Yuri's voice coming from upstairs, Umma Kwon and Taeyeon giggled to themselves. The two women were preparing breakfast for their respective partners. Taeyeon didn’t know what had gotten into her but she was the one who suggested making breakfast early in the morning, taking even Mrs Kwon by surprise.

Yoona had gone over to her friend's house to sleep for the night since her class had a huge project coming up that was due in only 2 days.  

Flashback.

Taeyeon and Yuri were cuddling in bed after what happened the night before. Taeyeon couldn't let Yuri go, she was afraid that Yuri would leave her. Yuri turned towards Taeyeon, their eyes meeting each other, “Taengoo, promise me that this won't happen again.”

Taeyeon could see the pain in Yuri's brown orbs as she brought up the incident last night. She felt horrible that Yuri got hurt the most despite everything. “I promise. I'm sorry...” Taeyeon buried her face into Yuri's shoulder as the younger girl her hair soothingly, as if to tell her that everything was fine. 

Yuri could feel the area around her shoulder getting wet and she pushed Taeyeon slightly, wiping away Taeyeon's tears. She hated seeing the girl cry. “Love means never having to say sorry.” Yuri said in a softer tone with a gentle smile donned on her face.

Although Taeyeon never really heard that word coming from Yuri, it was obvious that Yuri had strong feelings for her. Her heart was racing and she couldn't help but blush at Yuri's sweet words.

“A-Are you saying th--”

“Yes, I'm saying that I love you.” Yuri finished Taeyeon's sentence firmly, making sure Taeyeon could see that she was dead serious. 

Yuri was a very simple person; all she wanted to do now was to protect Taeyeon and to make her happy for the rest of their lives. She hid her feelings for quite some time and she didn't want to hide it anymore. 

“Yul, I…” Taeyeon was starting to cry again.

She had never felt this way before and when she finally felt the butterflies in her stomach erupting one by one, Taeyeon couldn't help but to feel slightly overwhelmed along with happiness. 

Yuri panicked the moment Taeyeon's tears started rolling down her cheeks again, “I'm sorry, please don't cry. T-Take it as I never said it, okay?” Ignoring the sharp pain in her heart, Yuri wiped away Taeyeon's tears while praying that her fingers weren't shaking at the same time. She wanted Taeyeon to be ready for a relationship, not force her into one.

“N-No! I want you to love me... I want to do everything with you…” Taeyeon was rambling on and on, uncertain of how to convey her feelings all at once. 

Yuri couldn't help but to stare at Taeyeon, confused at her sudden words. After crying and sobbing, Taeyeon says that she wants Yuri to love her?

“Huh?”

Taeyeon wanted to kick Yuri so hard for being such a blur idiot at this time but she realized that a smirk was tugging on Yuri's lips. The girl was obviously teasing her. 

“Stop teasing me...” Taeyeon whined, pulling Yuri's ears. 

“Hehe, tell me what exactly you wanna say. Take your time.”

Yuri wrapped her arms around Taeyeon's waist and pulled Taeyeon fully on top of her, their bodies now resting on each other's completely. Taeyeon could see the twinkle in Yuri's eyes and she was dying of embarrassment. Yuri knew what she wanted to say and yet here she was torturing her. 

“I love you too...” Taeyeon mumbled under her breath, hoping Yuri could have heard it without telling her to say it even louder. 

“Huh?”

“I said I love you too.... " Taeyeon said, closing her eyes as she gritted her teeth. 

“Louder.”

“Damn it, Yuri! I said I love you too!”

Yuri's eyes widened in amusement. Taeyeon was surprised at herself too. She had just cursed before confessing her feelings. Well, blame it on that stupid Kwon who kept teasing her, Taeyeon thought. “I love you so much more.” Yuri said and cupped Taeyeon's cheeks, pulling the shorter girl's face closer to hers. 

They smiled shyly at each other before closing the gap, this time with their feelings clear and known. During their kiss, Yuri was thinking hard. She wanted to ask Taeyeon officially but she didn't want to let go of Taeyeon's lips yet. 

“ByunYul.. I c-can't breathe…” Taeyeon mumbled, pushing Yuri's face away. 

Yuri fist pumped in her mind, taking it as her chance. Since Taeyeon broke the kiss first, it was even easier for her. Yuri was going to kiss the heck out of Taeyeon right after she accepted. “Taeyeon, would you please be my girl?” Yuri whispered, looking into Taeyeon's eyes with sincerity.

She was awfully nervous and her nerves were trembling but she couldn't show it right now. Taeyeon needed someone strong and confident, Yuri wanted nothing more than to be that person.

“I would love to, Yuri…”

Flashback end.  

Taeyeon was smiling to herself as she whisked the eggs, thinking back of Yuri's sweet confession and endless teasing from the Kwon before she confessed. “You look like an idiot, darling.” Umma Kwon teased, rubbing Taeyeon's head to break her train of thoughts before she whisked the eggs out of the bowl. 

“Umma...” Taeyeon whined.
