"So how have you and MingMing been?" your friend asked as you ate lunch together.

"Pretty good, we’re going on 6 months now" you answered with a smile. 

"Nice! He seems like a good guy."

"Yeah, he is" you said proudly.

"So this is kinda personal, but can I ask…is he a good kisser?"

You laughed at your friend. “I don’t know! We’ve never kissed actually. He’s kissed my cheek and forehead, but not a real kiss on the lips."

"Really??" She looked shocked. “You said you were going on 6 months now. Why haven’t you?"

You shrugged. “I don’t know, it just hasn’t happened yet. Is that bad?"

"No, of course not" she shook her head and the conversation changed topics.

Later that night, you were watching Hansol’s kiss punishment on 17TV. You were laughing like crazy, until you saw MingMing’s turn. You couldn’t help but think about your conversation with your friend earlier. "Why haven’t MingMing and I kissed yet?"you thought to yourself. "Was it bad that we haven’t? You couldn’t help but feel a little jealous that MingMing looked more willing to kiss his band mate than you, even if he did it as a joke. Was he hesitant to take the initiative? Was he waiting for you to make the move? Was it just because there hasn’t been an opportunity yet? Questions circled around in your mind and you knew you had to talk to him about it, although it wasn’t an easy topic to start. 

The next day at school, you sat with MingMing at your usual private lunch spot. 

"Jagiya, why are you so quiet today?" he asked.

"Mmm I don’t want to talk about it actually…" you sighed.

"Really? Are you sure? Tell me what’s wrong."

"Well, it kinda has to do with you."

"What did I do??" he gasped. “I’m sorry, _____, just tell me how I can make it better, I’m sorry."

"It’s actually more of what you didn’t do…" You looked at him, now hesitant if you should even go through with telling him.

"Well what didn’t I do right?" He looked at you worriedly. 

"Well, I’ve just been thinking…we’ve been together for almost six months now…and I’m really happy with you…and I know this doesn’t really matter too much…but I’ve realized that we’ve never kis- mmf!" MingMing’s mouth crashed into yours hard mid-sentence, making you lean back. His tongue slipped between your lips ever so slightly and you felt his arms wrap around you. After a little while, you two broke apart almost panting for air, and you smiled at each other.

"I know we haven’t kissed yet," he spoke, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear. “It’s because I was partly scared, partly waiting for the right moment. I’m sorry to have kept you waiting; I hope that made up for it."

You patted his cheek and smiled even wider. “That was beyond perfect."
